Adeline was at her friend's place. She'd personally come to collect the documents she needed from him after contacting him three days ago.
"Did you get all of it?" She asked, looking up at Daniel, who had a mug of coffee in one hand and other documents in his other hand. He sipped it first before responding to her.
"What do you think I would do? Not get all of it?" He questioned back.
Adeline scowled at him but didn't say anything. He handed her the documents and she quickly scanned through everything.
It turned out the man who'd shot Darien was an ex-military officer who'd been suspended from his work. How he got to the building right next to the estate, facing the patio was a mystery.
But he was certainly there for a mission and that was to kill Darien for a reason she was unaware of. And most importantly, someone must have sent him to do it.
