Chapter 6 - 5 Colosseum

5 Colosseum

Primitive beings, what would these words mean? If you were on Earth, the meaning would be completely different from what Rodion usually defines in his book, and consequently, in this book, the meaning was the same.

In this world there is something called spiritual energy, but don't be confused because it uses energy in your terminology that you think is actually an energy, so what is spiritual energy you would ask me?

The answer is simple: spiritual energy is an element of nature, but it only exists in the fourth dimension, hence the term primitive beings, that is, people or beings that belong to the third dimension or as science prefers to call them, three-dimensional beings.

With this clarification comes another question, just as the beings of planet Earth, the inhabitants of this world are also three-dimensional beings, so how can they use the so-called spiritual energy and become truly powerful beings?

Rodion and Alex did some shopping before returning home, the first was tired of looking like a beggar especially because his appearance was below average, his red hair left him wanting.

"Why are there all these people here?"

Rodion asked his friend when he saw so many people going in the same direction they were both going.

"Excuse me, ma'am, what's with so many people running this way? Did something happen?"

Rodion kindly approached an elderly lady and asked her a question. In response, the lady was startled and looked at Rodion as if she were looking at a ghost.

"Son, Rodion, is that really you, son?"

Since it was close to his house, Rodion was not surprised that this lady knew him, her calloused hands brushed against his cheeks.

"Good thing son, thank the goddess you are well"

"What happened, Mrs. Mariquinha?"

Alex asked, seeing that the said sissy had burst into tears.

" Lex my son, you too, are you both alive?"

Dona Mariquinha closed her eyes, joined her hands and began to pray to the goddess

"Miss Sissy, are you okay? Why wouldn't we be alive? What happened?"

Dona Mariquinha looked around as if she was looking for someone behind the two boys, finding us she burst into even more tears.

"Poor Irina , it was just her then, may the goddess have her in her holy glory"

"Madam, what do you hear?"

Rodion lightly shook the lady, who was startled in the process.

"The cutie, the fire burned, the fire burned everything"

Alex and Rodion put together the situation, what Mrs. Mariquinha was trying to convey to us and came to the same conclusion, they left the lady and ran to investigate the situation.

"What the hell happened here, who set fire to my humble residence?"

Rodion sighed sadly as he saw his house, made of earthen blocks, burning in flames. Even though his neighbors were trying to help by throwing water, the fire was still burning with no sign of abating.

"Look, it's Rodion, he's fine."

Someone pointed in the direction where Rodion and Alex were and the crowd's attention shifted from the burning house to Rodion, whom they saw as if he were a ghost.

The two tried very hard to escape the situation, there were simply too many people asking questions, in the end they managed to escape.

"What the hell, mine too?"

The two arrived at Alex's house to discover the same scenario.

"My savings?"

Tears began to stream down Alex's cheeks, Rodion placed his hand on his friend's shoulder.

"Who could have burned down our house?"

Alex asked sadly to his friend who simply shrugged and asked a question that really mattered.

"Where will we stay tonight?"

Rodion didn't think he would have to spend the money he had just gotten earlier on the minotaur wizard.

"How about we go see Svetlana, she's got a crush on you, I'm sure if you ask nicely she'll let us stay for a while."

Rodion looked at his friend with contempt and asked

"And what will you do with her boyfriend? You forgot that the bunny is dating a troll "

Alex remembered the beating they had both received and his body shivered.

"So what will we do?"

Alex looked at his house burning in flames.

"Let's go to the coliseum, there we'll have a place to spend the night and get some money."

"To the Colosseum? Didn't you promise Irina you'd never set foot in that place again?"

"Irina is dead, have you forgotten? Whatever promise I made to her no longer has any effect, not to mention that I don't remember having promised anything."

After Rodion insisted so much, Alex agreed and the two left with everyone watching, some even offered their residences so the two could spend the night, but they both refused and left towards the city.

An hour later the two were in an area of the city called the black zone, the market where you can find what you're looking for.

"Ho! Is that you? It's been a while since I've seen you, where have you been, Rodion and Alex?"

"You shameless fox turns your charm on someone else, my friend may prefer furry girls but I don't"

Alex paused for a moment before continuing.

"I prefer girls who have scales or rock-hard skin."

"Good for you, then you'll like our new addition"

The fox girl approached Alex and said softly in a rather charming voice.

"A snake girl is currently in room 6, it is said that her scales are shiny and hard as steel"

"Seriously? You 're not fooling me like last time?"

Alex asked quite excitedly and seeing that the fox girl nodded affirmatively Alex asked another question with quite seriousness on his face.

"They say that snake girls have a long tongue that drives any man crazy, that is true"

Rodion hit his head, what the hell did they do to your protagonist's friend?

Because he's totally different from his book, it would be nice if he now had a personality like a person who actually lives in a fantasy world, but wasn't that too much?

The girl was a receptionist at the coliseum, an institution that offered pleasure of every kind one could imagine. Here it was easy to make money, but losing it was even easier.

The house had several forms of entertainment for a place where there was no internet.

"Your money went up in smoke, did you forget?"

Seeing that Alex was already talking about the prices of local entertainment, Rodion had to pull him back to reality and it worked because he became sad again.

"We'll want a room with two beds, you can also list us for battles tomorrow night."

Rodion took four copper coins and passed them to the receptionist , she was a humanoid fox, even though she was covered in fur, her appearance was quite attractive for a human, that Rodion could not deny.

The two white and brown colors that covered the entire body in an artistic pattern gave it a rather exotic appearance, its tail that swung back and forth added a charm unique to the breed.

"Rodion, how about you come find me right after work? Last time you paid but we didn't finish the job. Your sister dragged you out of the room when the fun was about to begin."

The girl gave a seductive wink and said with passion reflected in her eyes

"By the way, where is that crazy girl? Don't tell me she's going to show up here and cause a scene like last time?"

"You don't need to worry about Irina, Alex and I just burned your body"

"I'm sorry, I didn't know, you must be devastated.. "

"You're kidding, aren't you?"

The eyes that were once sad from hearing what Rodion said were now exuding disbelief at seeing the human's emotionless face, she knew how close the two were that it would be impossible for one of them to die and the other to remain impassive like Rodion was.

"Alex, Rodion is joking, isn't he?"

In response, Alex shook his head.

"Give us our key, we need to rest."

The fox girl took a key and passed it to Rodion, seeing the man's attitude she was convinced that what he was saying was true, otherwise the Rodion from before would not have acted this way.

Alex and Rodion walked away and headed to their room, but a sweet voice still reached them from behind.

"Rodion, if you are sad and need comfort, my legs are open for you, I mean, my hands are open."

As the two walked towards the room, Alex looked at his friend and asked his friend.

"Friend, what do you do so that girls never forget your services and they would like to repeat, I mean, you are ugly unlike me, but even so they come to you, what is the secret?"

Rodion looked his friend in the eyes with the greatest honesty in the world and said promptly

"I would also like to know; now leaving that matter aside, are you ready to fight tomorrow?"

The two entered the room and Alex responded with a smile on his face.

" I'm always ready for a good fight"

He then looked at his friend and asked somewhat worriedly

" Will you be able to fight without your memories?"

To which Rodion replied

"I don't think it will be difficult, I still have my muscle memory and we can train tomorrow morning before the battle tonight."
