"I ingested one before coming down the mountain," Su Ming said plainly.
Elder Ge flinched, his spectacles nearly sliding off his nose. "You took an untested pill yourself?"
"I refined it, so I know its nature," Su Ming said. "My cultivation is already in the middle stage of the Nascent Soul realm. The medicine did not push it further, but it nourished and stabilized my nascent soul without a trace of backlash."
'To test the actual breakthrough, a cultivator must be at the peak of the Golden Core realm,' Su Ming thought. 'The core must be fully mature to dissolve.'
White Lotus Peak had nobody who fit the requirement. Elder Bai Zhen had only recently recovered his cultivation foundation and reached the early Golden Core realm. Lin Yao and Bai Qingxian were far from reaching the peak of Golden Core realm. Consuming this medicine prematurely would only destabilize their cultivation.
To prove the formula to the sect, he needed a true Golden Core realm veteran.
"Elder Ge!"
