The Vale, Moonlight Mountains, an unknown valley.

Ever since Mako announced the encirclement of the Four Clans Alliance, the mountains near the King's Road had become a battlefield. Mako, with a wave of his hand, scattered a lot of money and food, inciting the small Highland Clans tribes to slaughter the people of the Four Clans Alliance.

Attacks, harassment, and kidnapping – they stopped at nothing. During this period, the people of the Black Ear Clan, Burning People Clan, Moon People Clan, and Stone Raven Clan all had a feeling of being unable to express their suffering.

Zira of the Black Ear Clan, Ti Mei of the Burning People Clan, Xia Ga of the Stone Raven Clan, and Ulf of the Moon People Clan were currently gathered in a luxurious tent, discussing matters. The entire tent was in chaos, with many people looking indignant, but even more were filled with worry.

Zira of the Black Ear Clan said with some dissatisfaction:

"You cowards, what are you afraid of? Let them come! Are we afraid of them? Not fearing revenge is a display of bravery. Since we've already done it, we shouldn't be afraid, and we should fight them to the death!"

Zira was the daughter of Zike of the Black Ear Clan. Although she was short and had dark skin, she was as fierce in battle as her sons. Within the Four Clans Alliance, it was her Black Ear Clan and the Burning People Clan that were clamoring not to submit.

The unfair treatment they received in the King's territory made these four clan leaders unwilling to trust outsiders. Therefore, when Mako's envoy came to them to persuade them to surrender, they naturally regarded Mako as someone like Tyrion Lannister.

When Tyrion was the temporary Hand, they naturally ate and drank well in King's Landing. But after the Battle of Blackwater Bay, the Lannister family showed a different face.

They didn't know or care what Tyrion had gone through during that time. They only knew they had been deceived. So, in order to retaliate against King's Landing, they burned, killed, and plundered their way back to the Moonlight Mountains.

They were indeed far-sighted. After learning of the change of hands in The Vale, they immediately saw a "business opportunity" and sent warriors to support the war. They just didn't expect to run into a wall of iron.

After listening to Zira's words, the other three clan leaders also lowered their heads in thought. Finally, amidst a chorus of shouts with weapons raised high, the four clan leaders made the decision to fight to the death.

And when they had finished discussing and preparing to go to the small villages near the Bloody Gate to plunder and take revenge, it was close to dusk. After watching the sky gradually darken, everyone began to feast in their tents.

However, what they didn't know was that in a hidden valley near them, a meticulously prepared killing feast had already begun on time.

At this time, in a small grove on the hillside near the Four Clans Alliance's encampment, a patrol team of 10 clan warriors were gathered around a bonfire.

An animal of an indiscernible species had been divided into six portions and was slowly roasting over the charcoal fire. Beads of oil dripped down from it, causing the charcoal to sizzle.

"Mona, are you done yet? We're starving! This dog meat isn't going to be enough for us!"

A young man with half an ear missing said to the woman who was turning the dog meat over the fire, his voice a mix of fear and excitement.

Due to the suppression and harassment from other clans, the Four Clans Alliance had been having a tough time lately, essentially living off what they had left.

This hunting dog belonged to their patrol team. Because the weather was so cold and they were hungry, they'd decided to eat the dog used for alerting them.

"What's the rush? If you think I'm too slow, you can do it yourself. You bastards were certainly strong enough when you were 'fucking' me and Lin, but when you're actually needed, all you do is make us do everything! F**k, do it yourself!"

The scarred woman named Mona cursed directly. There were two female clan warriors in this team, mostly from the Black Ear Clan. The warriors of the Highland Clans were generally more open. After spending some time together, the two somewhat liberated female warriors had pretty much "screwed" all of the men.

The young man immediately went over to help Mona, smiling and coaxing her. Only after giving her a few beautiful turquoise stones did Mona return to continue roasting the meat.

Seeing that it would be a while, the two clan warriors went behind a large tree to relieve themselves. At this moment, a short, freckled-faced boy asked his companion:

"Manny, do you think we can get women tomorrow? I heard Lemon Grass say that the women in the valley are really pale. The one he got last year died on the way back, otherwise, she could have given him a son this year, and I…"

Before the short, stocky youth could finish, he sensed something was off with his companion. When he saw what was happening around them, he was scared out of his wits. A large group of various beasts had surrounded them without them realizing it.

"Help… Aaaah…"

The two didn't even have time to scream before they were devoured by the swarming beasts. However, the commotion alerted the other members of the group. They quickly got up and drew their weapons from their waists and the ground.

"Ah…"

Unfortunately, they couldn't fight off the beasts. After eliminating this squad, Mako's beast troops charged directly towards the enemy's stables.

Even though the ponies couldn't compare to the Vale horses, panicked horses were still terrifying. Led by their leaders, the beast troops bit through the reins, pulled open the wooden fences of the stable, and drove the ponies to rampage through the camp.

For a time, the entire valley was filled with the shouts of men and the neighing of horses. As the bonfire stands were knocked over, the tents and wooden sheds caught fire.

Just then, on the steep slopes surrounding the valley, massive vine spheres woven from vines and branches were pushed out by the clan warriors and thug soldiers.

Among the crowd, more than a dozen white-robed Druids were casting spells to create these vine spheres, while the thug soldiers and clan warriors around them stuffed the spheres with grass soaked in whale oil.

After the soldiers pushed the vine spheres down, the horn blowers on the mountaintop immediately sounded their horns, and the long, drawn-out horn calls echoed throughout the valley.

"Roar..."

A white tiger standing somewhere on the mountainside let out a deafening roar, and upon hearing its roar, the herd of beasts all ran towards a certain spot at the valley entrance.

At this moment, the "Four Clans Alliance" warriors behind this simple wooden wall had basically been wiped out. The thug soldiers formed a shield wall, blocking the area completely.

As the vine spheres were ignited, the entire valley was filled with flames and smoke. The "Four Clans Alliance" warriors ran around frantically, like a scene from hell.

Dagon and Capo stood behind Brynden Bloodraven, watching the horrific scene below, and felt as if their entire bodies had been frozen by ice.

Brynden shook his head, saying with some helplessness:

"There will always be people in this world who can't see their own place. They have no idea what true power is, and in the end, they'll just turn to ash.

Dagon! Capo! We of the Valyrian Empire can protect our people with the most merciful methods, but we will also deal with our enemies with the most terrifying ones.

They think they're smart, hiding all over this mountain range, and that they won't be eliminated by us. Too bad! They don't know what kind of power we truly possess."

"Kill them!"

This valley was originally connected from north to south, but under Brynden's arrangements, the northern exit was blocked by vine balls. Helplessly, the "Four Clans Alliance" warriors who had escaped death could only flee towards the southern exit.

However, facing the dense shield walls and the rows of crossbowmen on the wooden walls, many warriors felt they were trapped in a dead end, completely without hope.

But their warrior's honor wouldn't allow them to retreat. Facing this dead end, many warriors chose to fight to the end.

The battle raged until the second morning. Most people were actually trampled or suffocated; not many were truly burned to death.

Moonlight Mountains, Burning People Clan Forbidden Zone

Mako was strolling through this death zone, which no one dared to enter, with his five wives. This place was once the Painted Dog Clan's sacred ground, but after the Painted Dog Clan was defeated by the Burning People Clan, it became the Burning People Clan's sacred ground.

This was a very strange cave. The wide passage could easily allow a giant dragon to crawl in. Mako estimated that with the Crystal Dragon's current size, it could barely squeeze in.

It was just strange why Bima would hide here with the sheep thief. After all, the sky was a dragon's domain. Even if she had a conflict with the soldiers of the royal territory, it was impossible for her to be so scared that she wouldn't dare to go out.

It seems something happened that we don't know about. "This time, we can just find out the whole story. Moonshadow, try to sense what's going on here!"

Mako walked in the passage, thinking to himself, and then he seemed to think of something, and hurriedly said to Moonshadow.

Moonshadow's "Death Speaker" talent allowed her to clearly sense the rhythm of souls, and communicate with them. With Moonshadow's source language chanting, a chill also condensed in the entire cave.

In a short while, everyone saw a battered and strange soul. The reason it was called strange was because this soul had holes all over it, and it looked like a bat monster.

"Ugh..."

A terrifying soul shriek echoed in everyone's minds, but fortunately, no one present was ordinary. This strange energy didn't affect Mako and the others. Instead, it stimulated the Holy Flame within Maeve.

The Holy Flame in Maeve's body automatically locked onto the soul, causing it significant damage. It wailed, trying to escape, but was blocked by Nymph and Mu.

Mako took the opportunity to use Magic Control and probed into the soul, discovering its true identity and what it had experienced.

After the soul dissipated, Mako led Moonshadow and the others deeper into the cave. According to the Burning People Clan's records, the Fire Witch died from an unknown disease, and then the fire dragon became enraged and burned many people. After that, no one dared to enter the cave.

Later, someone had the courage to go in, but after that person came out, they died for some unknown reason, leaving no words behind. Then, a plague broke out.

Many people believed it was a curse, so this place gradually became forbidden. The Burning People Clan people were all afraid to go in, until today.

After passing through the corridor, Mako and his group entered the end of the cave. The first thing that caught their eye was a human corpse. Her clothes were tattered, but they could still make out a metal badge on them.

Then, everyone saw a dragon skeleton. It seemed to be larger than a Crystal Dragon. Around the dragon skeleton were scattered black stones of various shapes, which appeared to be parts of a body.

Mako immediately recognized the Ed Runes on them. What surprised Mako even more was that he also saw human corpses in places where some of the stones had collapsed.

In the soul he had just seen, Mako saw a monster made of black stones attacking Bima and the sheep thief. In the end, the sheep thief and the monster perished together, while Bima died from her injuries.

Before dying, the Burning People Clan warrior who had come to pay tribute sensed Bima's weakness and instinctively offered to help her, but was driven away by Bima.

Perhaps it was a special power within the Valyrian bloodline that guided Bima, allowing her to sense a strange threat. This led her to forbid outsiders from entering in her final moments.

From the moment they entered, Mako had cast Light Magic, "Magic Immunity" on them. This magic could protect the subject from the effects of both negative and positive magic.

Then, Mako saw a mark that interested him among the corpses. After clearing away the stones, there were a total of five corpses: three skeletons whose armor had severely corroded. Judging by their emblems, they seemed to be from the Hightower family.

The remaining two corpses were interesting. Both were Citadel Maesters, and they possessed staves, masks, and rings, just like Marwin. Marwin specialized in the arcane arts, but his staff, mask, and ring represented historical knowledge – the bronze mask.

However, the three items belonging to these two fellows were made of white steel and fine steel. These two metals represented metallurgy and manufacturing, two more obscure fields of study within the Citadel.

Mako found more black stones around these corpses. Ultimately, using his "Magic Control" skill, he discovered a mysterious object beneath the pile of stones.

After ordering the crystal spiders to move the stones, Mako saw the full object: a strange, diamond-shaped stone pillar, covered in numerous Ed Runes.

Although the pillar was damaged, Mako saw some residual substances on it. Through his "Magic Control" skill, Mako discovered that the substances were a conglomerate of life energy and the power of the Ed gods, and it seemed to contain some black stone powder and obsidian powder.

These residual substances contained a large amount of energy, but it wasn't just raw energy. To put it in Blue Star terms, it was more like a liquid agent, a compound, or something of that nature.

Mako tried to touch it with his finger and instantly felt a surge of violent energy and consciousness. This energy was highly corrosive, seemingly trying to invade Mako, but it was immediately repelled by the energy within Mako's own body.

Just then, Moonshadow suddenly called out to Mako, pointing at a skeleton in front of her and saying:

"Mako! There might be something you want in this skeletal animal's clothes, take a look! Its soul was too weak and has already vanished, but it kept muttering about this thing as it dissipated."

Hearing this, Mako quickly walked to Moonshadow and tore open the tattered scholar's robe. After searching for a while, he finally found something like a crystal in a special compartment.

This crystal was diamond-shaped, small and exquisite. Even after so long, Mako could still feel the power on it. Then, Mako brought the crystal to the stone pillar.

After tentatively placing the crystal on the stone pillar, the two things seemed to come alive. The crystal turned into a night body and merged into the stone pillar, and the stone pillar also broke free from gravity and floated up.
