The Natsuki family sat together.
Subaru: [So it's decided right?]
Kenichi: [Yeah. We'll start the day together as a family, open the presents and spend some time together. Then Subaru and Emilia will go on a date and then Beatrice and them will go to the Christmas party.]
Naoko: [Don't drink alcohol Emilia-chan okay? It's bad for the baby.]
Emilia: [It is?]
Kenichi: [Yeah it can cause problems when the kid is born.]
Emilia: [Alright. No alcohol for me.]
Subaru: [Don't drink from the fruit punch either. People spike those things with beer and other stuff sometimes.]
Emilia: [Eh?]
Subaru: [Yeah people do that to mess with people but...]
Beatrice: [It's utterly foolish I suppose.]
Subaru: [They pretty much just enjoy the chaos that comes from drunk people doing stupid things. They find it funny.]
Kenichi: [I mean they're not wrong. It is really funny but... just be careful okay Emilia?]
Emilia nodded as Subaru turned to Beatrice.
Subaru: [None for you either. You look like a child.]
Beatrice grumbled at being seen as a child by others.
Subaru: [None for me either so I guess our trio is going sober.]
Naoko: [Good.]
Subaru: [Now in the meantime let's pick costumes for the party.]
They nodded.

Subaru was on the roof helping Kenichi put up the decorations.
Subaru: [You okay dad?]
Kenichi: [I'm fine. Just get the lights in place!]
Subaru hammered a nail securing the line with the LED lights.
Kenichi: [So Subaru. Have you thought of what to name the kid?]
Subaru: [If it was back there I'd probably name the kid after a star from this world but... I don't think I'd do that over here.]
Kenichi: [So? Any contenders?]
Subaru: [Me and Mili talked about it. Maybe ------- if it's a girl and maybe ------- if it's a boy.]
Kenichi: [English names huh?]
Subaru: [Yeah.]
Kenichi smiled
Kenichi: [I say they're great names.]
Then Kenichi started slipping.
Kenichi: [Oh shit!]
Kenichi fell off the roof as Subaru acted immediately.
Subaru: [Invisible Providence!]
An invisible hand rushed out grabbing Kenichi's hand as Subaru walked towards the edge slowly lowering his father to the ground.
Kenichi: [Thanks son.]
Subaru: [For gods sake. I told you not to overwork yourself today. I'll handle the rest. Don't even think about coming back up here.]
Kenichi scratched the back of his head with an awkward smile.
Kenichi: [Alright. I'll handle everything down here.]

The Natsuki Family stood together before a pine tree.
Kenichi: [Alright Natsumi. Put the first one up.]
Kenichi held Natsumi as Naoko held her hands so she could grip an ornament as they helped Natsumi place the first ornament.
Subaru: [Alright! Let's get to work everyone!]
Everyone started putting up ornaments but Kenichi went for the Star and Beatrice stopped him.
Beatrice: [Betty thinks this will suit the tree better I suppose.]
Beatrice held out a small statue ornament of Subaru. It had one hand on its waist and another pointed to the sky as if to say "Victory!"
Subaru: [Wait is that...]
Subaru blushed.
Subaru: [Why me?]
Kenichi: [It's perfect!]
They put the statue ornament on the top of the tree.
Subaru: [Seriously?]
Emilia: [I think it looks reaaally good!]
Subaru sighed.
Subaru: [It's embarrassing. My grandparents are gonna be here later!]
Emilia: [It'll be fine. They'll love it.]
Subaru sighed.

Naoko was walking into the kitchen for a glass of water when she saw Emilia sitting on the couch.
Naoko: [What are you doing Emilia-chan? Wasn't today a test day? I know you wouldn't get tired physically but mentally you must be exhausted!]
Emilia: [I'm reaaally tired today but I have to wait for Santa Claus. I need to make sure he gives Subaru the best gift he has!]
Naoko sweat dropped.
Naoko: (Subaru didn't tell her, did he?)
Naoko: [As long as Subaru was good he'll get a good present.]
Emilia: [Still I want to make sure!]
Naoko: (Still, it's really sweet.)
Naoko smiled.
Naoko: [I'll wait with you then. Okay?]
Emilia nods shuffling to make room as Naoko sits down next to her.

Naoko was sitting on the couch as Emilia was asleep next to her. Kenichi walked in with a sack of presents, wearing a Santa Outfit.
Kenichi: [Emilia? Naoko?]
Naoko: [She wanted to make sure Subaru got the best present. She's such a sweetie.]
Kenichi smiled as he placed the sac of presents down.
Kenichi: [Yeah. She really is.]
Naoko smiled.
Naoko: [It's a good thing that our Subaru found a nice girl like her.]
Kenichi: [What can I say? He's my son so he's got good instincts when it comes to women and he's my dad's grandson so he's got all the charm he'll ever need.]
Naoko: [The second part makes it sound like our son is some kind of womaniser. Please don't say it like that again.]
Kenichi: [Yeah alright.]
Kenichi smiled, rubbing the back of his head.
Kenichi: (I have a feeling dad was right and my son actually is pretty popular in that other world.)
Naoko: [Staying up even after her most difficult test day. She really wants the best for Subaru.]
Kenichi: [She really thinks Santa is real though?]
Naoko nods.
Naoko: [Subaru never told her he's not real it seems. I don't really want to tell her the truth either. I don't have the heart for it. She's such a sweet girl after all.]
Kenichi nodded.
Kenichi: [Yeah. I'd say my son hit the jackpot but it feels like they both did.]
They smiled as Naoko stroked the sleeping half-elf's hair.

Emilia woke up to a bunch of presents under the tree.
Emilia: [Eh? I fell asleep?!!]
Emilia felt very frustrated when she saw a present with a note and she looked at the note.
For Subaru Natsuki. Someone who loves you very much stayed up to make sure you got a good present so here's the best present I could find.
Emilia smiled brightly.
Emilia: [Victory!!!]
Subaru walked down the stairs.
Subaru: [Victory? Did you just finish some radio calisthenics?]
Emilia: [Look Subaru!]
Subaru looked at the tree and saw the presents.
Subaru: [Nice!]
Subaru turned around.
Subaru: [The presents are here Beako!!!]
Subaru sat down and went through them as Beatrice walked down the stairs.
Subaru: [This one's for you Mili.]
Subaru handed it to Emilia.
Emilia: [Um thank you.]
Emilia: (I meant for you to look at yours first. Dunderhead.)
Subaru rummaged through the presents again and Beatrice walked over.
Subaru: [Here's yours Beako.]
He handed it to her. That's when he finally noticed the present that was for him.
Subaru: [Huh?]
Subaru saw the note reading it as he then looked to Emilia.
Subaru: [Mili?]
Emilia: [I... I'm sorry but I fell asleep before I could meet Santa.]
Subaru sweat-dropped.
Subaru: (Right. I didn't tell her yet. I kinda don't want to now.)
Subaru: [Thanks so much Mili.]
Subaru smiled.
Subaru: (I have the best girlfriend... and future mother of my child in the world.)

Kyotaro and Riko arrived together.
Kenichi: [What's going on here?]
Riko: [It's nothing dear. Just a coincidence.]
Kenichi looked at his father sceptically as he made a face that had a very clear message of "You're a womaniser through and through so don't even think about it dad."
Kenichi: [Come in.]
They walked in as Subaru saw them.
Subaru: [Hey Gramps. Grandma. Welcome.]
Kyotaro: [There's my prodigal grandson!]
Riko: [As if! Subaru will never become a womaniser like you!]
Emilia walked out as she saw Riko.
Emilia: [Its good to see you Riko-san.]
Riko: [Its good to see you too.]
Riko then caught a glimpse of her ears.
Riko: [I knew it!]
Emilia: [Eh?]
Riko: [Your ears. How did you get them like that?]
Emilia: [Um... they've been that way since I was born.]
Riko: [Since you were born?]
Riko: (Maybe a birth defect?)
Emilia: [I am a half-elf after all.]
Riko: [...]
Emilia: [Um I know it's hard to believe but...]
Riko: [Actually it makes a lot of sense.]
Riko turned to Subaru.
Riko: [Is that where you've been this entire time Subaru?]
Subaru: [Yeah.]
Riko hugged him.
Riko: [It must have been so hard for you!]
Subaru smiled but Emilia grimaced internally.
Emilia: (Hard doesn't even begin to describe what Subaru went through. All that suffering... all because he wanted to save us.)
Subaru: [I was lucky to meet some very special people that helped me along the way.]
Riko: [Ah right. Emilia-chan and Beatrice-chan.]
That's when Ben and Kaori arrived.
Ben: [What's going on here?]
Riko: [Please tell me you have noticed.]
Kaori: [Noticed what?]
Riko: [Her ears?]
They looked to Emilia's ears.
Kaori: [Um... aren't you a little old to still be playing pretend?]
Emilia: [Pretend?]
Kaori: [The ears.]
Riko: [They're not fake Kaori.]
Kaori: [What?]
Ben: [That's ridiculous.]
Emilia pressed her hands together.
Emilia: [Huma.]
Emilia separated her hands as a paper chain of Subarus appeared but made out of ice.
Kaori: [What the...]
Kyotaro: [Hot damn! That's awesome!]
Ben: [Magic... actually magic...]
Kaori: [You're... actually an elf.]
Emilia: [Yes. I'm a half elf from Ellior Forest in the Dragon Friend Country of Lugunica.]
Ben remembered his days as a child playing Zelda.
Ben: (Those were the good old days.)
Ben: [Its great to meet you!]
Emilia: [Eh?]
Subaru: [Grandpa Ben grew up playing a video game called Zelda where a human hero goes on an adventure to save an elf princess. I bet this feels very nostalgic.]
Emilia: [Eh? But... isn't that exactly like our journey?]
Subaru: [Well without context yeah. I guess it is.]
Then Ben noticed something.
Ben: [Wait, your last name is Ellior. Are you... royalty?]
Subaru: [Well she was part of the Royal Selection for the throne of Lugunica.]
Kyotaro: (A princess... my grandson... he's in a league of his own now.)
Kyotaro wiped a tear of pride from his right eye.
Kaori: (A princess... oh wow.)
Ben: [Exactly like Zelda...]
Ben: (Subaru is living nine year old me's dream.)
Ben smiled softly
Ben: [Wait so what happened?]
Subaru: [She ended up here with me.]
Emilia: [Because of that I've lost the selection but... I don't regret coming here. As long as I have Subaru I'll be okay.]
Ben: [I see.]
Kaori: (That's so sweet!)
Kenichi: [Alright everyone. Let's settle down and spend some time together.]
They all headed to the living room.

After a long day of questions Emilia sat down at the dining table next to Subaru, eating their lunch.
Subaru: [You doing okay Mili?]
Emilia nodded.
Emilia: [I think we should tell them.]
Subaru: [Alright.]
Everyone else sat down as Subaru and Emilia stood up. All eyes turned to them.
Subaru: [We need to tell you all something. Well except mom and dad since they already know.]
Riko: (It can't be. Is Emilia-chan...)
Emilia: [I... I'm pregnant.]
Riko: (I got a princess drunk and that led to her getting pregnant. I'm pretty sure back in medieval times that kind of thing would get my head cut off.)
Riko sweated.
Kyotaro: [Holy shit. My grandson is a fucking stud!]
Kyotaro stood up and was dancing with joy.
Kenichi: [Sit down dad!]
He did not sit down, opting to ignore his son in favor of continuing to dance.
Riko: (This is technically partially my responsibility but if I said that Kyotaro would never let me hear the end of it. He'd hold on to it until one of us dies of old age and considering the way he is he'll definitely live longer than me.)
Kaori: [Pregnant?]
Ben: [You can't be serious. You two aren't even married yet!]
Subaru: [It kinda happened out of nowhere but we're going to raise the child.]
Emilia nodded. Kaori stood up and then also began dancing with Kyotaro.
Kaori: [Great Grandbabies!! I'm not going to die before they're born!!! Yes!!!]
Subaru was dumbstruck.
Subaru: [I... have never seen those two getting along.]
Subaru sighed.
Subaru: [Next thing at this rate is Grampa Ben joins in.]
Ben: [On second thoughts meeting my great grandchild before my death would be great.]
Subaru: [...]
Ben joined in.
Subaru: (My entire life is a lie.)
Riko smiled.
Riko: [It's great news, you two. I'm really happy to hear it.]
Subaru: [The thing is that Elves take 12 months before they give birth.]
The trio of grand baby enjoyers paused, slightly disappointed at the long wait time. The rest of the lunch went as normally as any Christmas lunch would. After that Kenichi and Naoko decided to drive the grandparents home as Subaru and Emilia stayed behind.

Subaru walked into his room wearing a Santa outfit. He was holding on to his hat.
Subaru: (Nice! My costume for the party turned out great!)
Subaru smiled.
Subaru: (I wonder what Emilia-tan is wearing though.)
Subaru: [Emilia-tan are you finished changing?]
Emilia: [I am. Just a second.]
Emilia then came out of the walk in drobe wearing a Santa's Elf costume. The outfit was modest but that didn't detract from the appeal of the outfit as Subaru's face went red.
Emilia: [What do you think Subaru?]
Subaru dropped his Santa hat as he took in every curve, his eyes wide open, his pupils fully dilated.
AN: Neuron Activation
Emilia: [Subaru?]
Emilia: (He's looking at me in that same way again.)
Subaru: [Holy crap. Emilia-tan looks super sexy right now!]
Emilia: [Eh?!!]
A drop of blood slid down from Subaru's nose.
Emilia: [Are you okay Subaru? Your nose is bleeding... Oh... your friend is awake.]
Subaru: [My friend?]
Subaru then felt it.
Subaru: [Oh.]
Emilia was now blushing as well.
Emilia: [Do you... want to do that today as well?]
Subaru: [Yes.]
Subaru locked the door and turned to her.
