A chill, oppressive chakra spread through the Sound Four's bodies.
Whether from the Curse Mark transformation or the sudden surge of strength, the fear that had gripped them ebbed slightly.
"Do it!"
At Sakon's shout, the other three blurred from sight.
In an instant, they had Yuto surrounded at four points, their hands weaving through rapid seals.
Yuto watched them silently, expressionless, making no move to interrupt.
The four didn't know why he allowed it, but none dared relax.
With their final seals complete, they roared together:
"Secret Art—Four Violet Flames Formation!"
A purple square barrier snapped into place around him.
They exhaled in relief.
"Tell me—who gave you the courage to strike at me?" Yuto asked lightly, curiosity in his tone.
To know the gap and still attack—Orochimaru's brainwashing was thorough indeed.
"You four are strong. How about joining the Mist?" he added, eyes glinting with amusement.
The Sound Four blinked, startled. His sudden shift in tone left them off balance.
But when none spoke, Yuto's face fell into mild disappointment.
"No? Then I'll see you off."
His voice turned cold.
The four stiffened. The barrier was Orochimaru's own secret art—surely it would hold.
Yuto extended a palm. Dark purple chakra pooled, condensing fast into a basketball-sized bijūdama.
Six-Tails' chakra.
He grinned faintly. "Careful now."
The sphere flew.
Boom!
The blast tore the barrier apart in an instant. The Sound Four coughed blood as the explosion swallowed them whole.
Footsteps echoed through the dust. Yuto walked out, not a speck of dirt on him.
"Oh? Not dead yet."
He raised a brow at the figures stirring in the haze.
"Earth Release: Earth Prison Dome of Magnificent Nothingness!"
Jirōbō slammed his palms down. Walls of earth rose, sealing Yuto in.
His technique could trap foes, draining their chakra to replenish his own.
But Jirōbō felt no triumph—only dread. Sweat poured down his brow as he shouted back, "Hurry up!"
"Shut it, fatass!" Tayuya snapped, fingers flying.
"Summoning: Doki!"
Smoke burst as three monstrous spirits appeared, and her flute rose to her lips. "Demonic Flute: Phantom Sound Chains!"
From another flank, webs laced the air in a dense lattice.
At its center crouched Kidōmaru, golden bowstring drawn to a full moon.
"You know nothing of power…"
The calm voice drifted from inside the dome.
Jirōbō trembled, veins bulging.
Boom!
The dome exploded outward in a hail of stone.
Yuto strolled free, flicking three chunks of rock with his fingers.
They screamed through the air and struck the summoned monsters—shattering their skulls before they even moved.
A whisper of movement, and Yuto stood before Jirōbō.
The big man's eyes went wide. "Help—"
Blood mist bloomed.
Yuto was already in front of Tayuya.
She stumbled back, flute faltering, terror freezing her limbs.
"You're a girl. I'll be gentle."
His hand closed around her throat, lifting her easily.
From the webs, Kidōmaru's eyes lit up.
Now!
The golden bowstring snapped free.
"Secret Art—War Bow: Terrible Split!"
The arrow shrieked toward Yuto.
He didn't even turn his head. His grip tightened.
Tayuya's eyes bulged as her body went limp.
His free hand rose, catching the arrow with casual ease. Its deadly force winked out in his grasp.
He turned it, aimed, and released.
The shaft screamed back across the web, faster than before.
Kidōmaru barely had time for one thought—Perfect accuracy—before it punched a hole through his chest.
He toppled from the web, lifeless.
"One, two, three… just one left," Yuto murmured, turning toward a shadowed corner.
Sakon froze where he hid.
Run. Or die.
He bolted for the village—
But Yuto was there first.
"Well, found you."
A dull sound, and Sakon's body burst into gore.
A head tumbled free from the mess, rolling across the dirt—alive, gasping.
Ukōn.
The second brother, screaming as he rolled toward the village's heart.
"Orochimaru-sama! Save me!!"
