Chapter 10 - 010: You Didn't Get Plastic Surgery, Did You?

The attribute information was concise.

Lin focused on the level.

A+, followed by 'Nation-Destroying'.

Just as he had assessed, he now possessed the great power to destroy a country in a short amount of time.

Information about the Codex of All Things's level-ranking system surfaced in his mind.

From lowest to highest, they were:

F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS...

Classified by combat power, each rank could be described as:

Normal, Elite, Block-Level, Town-Destroying;

City-Destroying, Nation-Destroying, Continent-Level, Surface-Level;

Planet-Busting...

Each major rank was also subdivided by strength.

For example, the A-rank, capable of destroying a nation.

A- indicated the lower tier of this rank.

A indicated the middle tier.

A+ indicated the upper tier.

His current level was A+, meaning he was a powerhouse even within the Nation-Destroying tier.

Excellent. He was now one giant step closer to the Planet-Busting realm.

With a clearer understanding of his own strength, Lin couldn't help but reveal a satisfied smile, his mood joyous.

He got up and went to the dressing mirror.

"I've gotten handsomer again."

Looking at himself in the mirror, Lin wasn't too surprised.

Compared to before his transformation, his facial features hadn't changed much, but they now looked more natural and harmonious.

He looked completely flawless.

Beneath his clothes were muscles brimming with power yet understated. His figure was slender and tall, standing straight like a green bamboo.

The change in his appearance wasn't drastic; it was more a shift in his aura.

Noble and holy, mysterious and majestic.

Like a god descending upon the world, whom no mortal being could look at directly.

Just standing there, he was like the warm sun on a winter day—people would want to get close, yet fear being melted if they drew too near.

His eyes were crystal clear, and if one were to look closely,

they would discover many tiny, multicolored specks of light within his azure pupils, as profound as a starry sky.

Lin adjusted his state.

He retracted his aura, appearing as he did before his transformation.

His control over himself had reached an unprecedented level; suppressing his aura was a trivial matter.

He could even control the mountain-shattering power of a finger flick with microscopic precision.

He could lift the heavy as if it were light, and the light as if it were heavy.

He didn't have to worry at all about accidentally demolishing his house.

After taking some time to calm his excitement, Lin grabbed his clothes and went to the bathroom to take a bath.

He was now comparable to a god.

For a perfect physical body, remaining untainted by filth was a simple matter.

Even if he were sullied by an external force, he could circulate the primordial energy within his body to cleanse himself, becoming utterly spotless.

So, he didn't actually need to bathe at all.

But a habit was a habit.

There was no need to change it, and he didn't want to.

After his bath, Lin lay down in bed, turned off the lights, and went to sleep.

Whether he slept or not was entirely up to him.

It was now two-thirty in the morning.

The night passed in a flash.

At ten in the morning, the sun was shining brightly.

Rays of sunlight streamed into the room through the gaps in the blinds.

His phone screen suddenly lit up.

A pleasant ringtone sounded.

Without opening his eyes, Lin reached under his pillow and grabbed his phone.

He swiped his finger by feel and brought the phone to his ear.

"Hello..."

He uttered the single word lazily.

"Brat, you're not still sleeping, are you?"

A girl's voice rang out.

As soon as he heard the voice, Lin knew who was calling.

His eyes still closed, he said, "Congratulations, Shizu, you guessed right. But unfortunately, there's no prize."

Shizu, full name Shizuka Hiratsuka.

A character from *My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected*.

The two had met by chance a year and a half ago, and after a few encounters, they gradually became well-acquainted.

Meanwhile, on the other end.

Inside a sleek, red Aston Martin sports car.

A phone placed on a stand was on speaker.

Hearing how Lin addressed her, Shizuka Hiratsuka's face instantly darkened.

"You damn brat, who are you calling Shizu? Call me Shizu-nee."

"Alright, Shizu. No problem, Shizu."

"You damn brat..."

Hearing this, a tic mark popped on Shizuka Hiratsuka's forehead.

After a brief silence, she asked,

"Is the matter resolved?"

"Resolved."

"That's good."

Hearing Lin's reply, Shizuka Hiratsuka let out a sigh of relief.

A few days ago, Lin had suddenly taken leave from school, citing a cold.

Upon learning this, she had immediately called Lin to ask about it.

She had originally planned to visit him while he was sick, but Lin refused.

His reason was that he was afraid of it being contagious.

Of course, Shizuka Hiratsuka wasn't afraid of catching anything, so she went straight to Lin's house after school.

She even brought food and medicine.

But he wasn't there.

Because at that time, Lin was out wandering around, trying to find a way to deal with the evil spirit.

When Lin learned that Shizuka Hiratsuka had come looking for him, he was speechless and a little touched, so he had to make another excuse.

He said he actually had something he needed to take care of.

And that's why he wouldn't be home for a few days.

Although Shizuka Hiratsuka knew Lin was hiding something from her, she didn't press him for details.

She just told him to call her if he needed help.

Now, hearing that Lin had successfully resolved the 'matter,' Shizuka Hiratsuka couldn't help but feel relieved.

She looked ahead and said with a smile,

"Since you're fine now, come on out. Someone's treating."

"Someone's treating..."

Hearing this, Lin, still lying in bed, finally opened his eyes slowly.

With a moment's thought, he had already guessed who was treating.

"Now?"

He glanced at the time.

Shizuka Hiratsuka: "Of course."

"Are you coming to pick me up?"

Lin said, looking at the window.

Beams of sunlight passed through the gaps in the blinds into the room.

"Nope."

Shizuka Hiratsuka snorted lightly.

"Tch, stingy. Alright then, send me the location later. Hanging up."

Hearing this, Lin expressed a little disappointment.

He then hung up the phone, rolled out of bed, and went to the washroom to freshen up.

Twenty minutes later.

Lin was fully dressed.

Ding dong...

The doorbell suddenly rang.

"Hm?!"

Lin raised an eyebrow slightly and walked over to the video intercom screen.

When he saw the figure outside the door, the corner of his mouth curved up slightly.

He went to the first floor and opened the door.

"Brat—"

Seeing the door open, Shizuka Hiratsuka, who was outside, was about to say something.

But when she saw Lin, her eyes widened slightly, and the words she was about to say got stuck in her throat.

She stared blankly at Lin.

A look of astonishment appeared in her eyes.

Seeing Shizuka Hiratsuka staring at him in a daze, Lin immediately teased with a smile,

"What are you spacing out for? Are you captivated by my handsome looks?"

Shizuka Hiratsuka snapped back to her senses.

She stared intently at Lin's face, frowning slightly with a suspicious expression:

"Brat, the thing you had to take care of... it wasn't plastic surgery, was it?"

She realized Lin had become better looking.

It felt like he was a different person.

But upon closer inspection, it was still him.

If she were to rate Lin's appearance from the last time she saw him an eighty-eight, she would give him a ninety-nine now.

She held back the last point, lest Lin get too happy if he found out.

She felt that the current Lin perfectly matched her aesthetic tastes, and her heartbeat couldn't help but accelerate.

Her face seemed to be growing slightly hot.

A certain emotion that had already sprouted deep in her heart was quietly growing.

The way she looked at Lin underwent a subtle change.

It was just that she herself hadn't noticed it yet.

Hearing this, Lin glanced at Shizuka Hiratsuka. "Are you kidding? Someone as handsome as me needs plastic surgery?"

"Then how did you get handsomer?"

Shizuka Hiratsuka frowned slightly, expressing her doubt while also being a bit curious.
