Chapter 41 - 041: The Giant Dragon That Suddenly Flew Past

Lin and Yotsuya Miko came to the second floor.

The two leaned against each other and chatted.

Yotsuya Miko talked about some things that had happened in the past few days.

Such as her vanquishing of evil spirits.

Yesterday, Yurikawa Hana was once again targeted by an evil spirit.

Because using Aura would create a mirage effect, she didn't act rashly.

Instead, she took Yurikawa Hana home.

Fortunately, evil spirits cannot enter inhabited houses.

So it was blocked outside the door.

Seeing that evil spirit lingering at the doorway.

She lured the evil spirit away, found a suitable spot, and quickly resolved the vanquishing.

In simple terms, it was a sneak attack.

While the evil spirit was drawn closer by her life energy, she circulated her Aura throughout her body, concentrating a large amount into her fist.

This punch, she put her full strength into it.

That evil spirit was directly obliterated.

After chatting, their spirits were high, and they started playing a clapping game.

 Over an hour later.

They stopped clapping and rested for a while.

 "Oh, Miko."

Lin turned his head to Yotsuya Miko and asked:

 "Are you going back tonight?"

 "Huh?"

Yotsuya Miko, who had lost the game, was still a bit dazed and hadn't quite heard Lin's question.

Seeing this, Lin couldn't help but smile and asked again: "I said, Miko, are you going home tonight?"

After hearing the question clearly, Yotsuya Miko's pupils focused, and her eyes gradually regained clarity.

Lacking energy, she slightly turned her head to Lin and said in a slightly hoarse voice:

"I told my mom I'm staying overnight at Hana's house tonight."

 "I see."

Lin raised an eyebrow slightly at her words.

He remembered Yotsuya Miko saying that the last time she came to see him, she used the same excuse.

Unbeknownst to Yurikawa Hana, she had already "slept" with Yotsuya Miko twice in non-existent slumber.

"Since that's the case, let's do it again."

Lin rolled over and pinned Yotsuya Miko down.

"No, not again, let's rest, rest for a bit first."

 Yotsuya Miko's expression changed instantly.

Although she had some desire inside, she still shook her head, wanting to prolong their rest time.

She couldn't muster any strength in her body now.

 Lin was simply inhumanly vigorous.

If they went again, she felt she might just break.

 "It's fine, watch me."

Lin curled his lips into a smile and directly cast Sky Magic.

A miraculous healing power instantly spread throughout Yotsuya Miko's body.

 It invigorated her spirit.

The discomfort in her body quickly receded.

Feeling she was ready, Lin stopped the Sky Magic, and amidst Yotsuya Miko's gasps, he mounted.

The joyful concerto once again played in the bedroom.

Time arrived past three in the morning.

Lin looked at Yotsuya Miko beside him, her face flushed and her brow slightly furrowed in sleep, and smiled tenderly.

He cast Sky Magic once more.

He controlled the output of his Primal Force, so as not to wake Yotsuya Miko.

As the power of Sky Magic silently entered her body.

Yotsuya Miko slowly smoothed her brow.

The corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up, revealing a hint of happy smile.

As if she were having a beautiful dream.

Lin then gently got out of bed, took clean clothes to the bathroom, and began a simple wash.

He was halfway through his shower.

 "Hm?!"

 Lin's heart suddenly stirred.

He sensed an unusual presence rapidly approaching.

This feeling came from a sixth sense enhanced by multiple abilities.

The fact that his sixth sense gave him a warning for the first time showed that this unknown presence was truly extraordinary.

It might be an existence of the same level.

Or perhaps even stronger than him.

As thoughts emerged in Lin's mind, he strode to the window and looked outside.

A colossal silhouette flew swiftly across the night sky.

It was enveloped in a layer of power.

 Apparently serving to conceal it.

Its speed was extremely fast, having flown thousands of meters away in the blink of an eye.

 "Towards Saitama..."

Lin narrowed his eyes slightly, watching the distant figure.

With a thought, he summoned the Codex of All Things.

Inside, a new, unlit entry had appeared.

Before an entry was lit, its image was a silhouette.

The silhouette on the new entry was that of a dragon.

 A Western dragon.

 "A dragon..."

 Lin's gaze deepened.

A Western dragon suddenly appearing in a modern, crossover anime world.

He couldn't help but think of a particular world.

 Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid.

The one who just flew past was, undoubtedly, Tohru.

He vaguely saw a sword impaled in its body.

As for whether it was her, he would know simply by following.

With that thought, Lin no longer hesitated.

He turned off the showerhead, and his Primal Force circulated through his body, instantly evaporating the excess water from his skin.

Returning to the bedroom, he casually picked out clothes from the wardrobe and put them on.

A white T-shirt as a base, with a black hoodie over it.

His pants were khaki casual trousers.

After casually dressing, Lin grabbed his keys and phone, came from the living room to the courtyard, and ascended into the air.

A concealing barrier enveloped his body.

He flew towards Saitama Prefecture at half the speed of sound.

Under the effects of the barrier and the power of Silver's Sanctuary, no noticeable commotion was made during his flight.

Soon, Lin arrived at the 'old' spot.

The city adjacent to Saitama Prefecture and Tokyo, named Oborozuka City.

Earlier, during his "fishing enforcement," he had lured a large number of evil spirits to the city's vicinity for a clean-up.

 "Oborozuka City..."

Muttering the city's name, Lin suddenly remembered something.

In Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, the city in the story seemed to be called Oborozuka City.

He hadn't thought of it at all before.

If he hadn't encountered Tohru now and returned to this place, he might not have remembered this detail.

A short while later, in the city's outskirts.

Lin found his target in the mountainous forest area where he had conducted his previous clean-up.

So he landed not far away.

He walked unhurriedly along the forest path towards her.

Passing through the bushes, he saw the colossal figure sprawling on the ground.

 A green Western dragon.

Its scales, covering its entire body, seemed to be sculpted from the finest emeralds, pieced together one by one.

Even while lying on the ground, its height was still close to three meters.

On its back were a pair of black wings resembling bat leathery wings.

On its sizable dragon head, there was a pair of brown dragon horns with a texture similar to deer antlers, each with two branches.

Faintly visible around its dragon mouth were several stark white, sharp dragon fangs.

A massive longsword was currently impaled in the dragon's back, and blood was visibly pulsating and dissipating near the wound.

 'It really is Tohru.'

Lin pondered thoughtfully as he looked at the giant dragon before him.

Tohru, who had her eyes closed, also sensed someone approaching, so she slowly lifted her head and opened her eyes.

In her bright, deep golden eyes were blood-red vertical pupils.

An invisible aura of majesty spread out.

An ordinary person would likely have their legs turn to jelly and sit on the ground.

 "Human, leave this place."

 "Otherwise, die!"

 A cold, majestic voice resounded.

Tohru opened her great maw and slightly bared her fangs.

He didn't feel any killing intent.

Lin's lips curved slightly upwards, a faint smile on his face as he looked at her.

The human and the dragon gazed into each other's eyes.

Wisps of evening breeze gently stroked Lin's hair.

After staring at each other for a moment, Tohru's eyes flickered, and a hint of surprise flashed through her mind.

This human before her didn't seem to be afraid of her at all.

Furthermore, she couldn't detect any malice from him.

On the contrary, the way he looked at her seemed to be full of goodwill, as if there was even an inexplicable fondness?

 What a strange human.
