Chapter 216 - Chapter 216: Fought Until the Great Dao Was Obliterated

The sun gradually moved westward.

Time passed like a breeze gently caressing the treetops, fleeing away strand by strand in the blink of an eye.

Classes ended at 3:30 PM.

Lin and Kotegawa Yui, having packed their things, picked up their schoolbags and headed toward the Student Council together. On the way, they ran into two acquaintances.

Hirasawa Yui and Nodoka Manabe.

"Wah, it's Little Lin!"

Seeing Lin, Hirasawa Yui's eyes instantly lit up. Her expression was full of pleasant surprise, as if she had spotted some wondrous animal.

She hurriedly pulled the distinctively calm and intellectual Nodoka Manabe over to Lin and Kotegawa.

"Good afternoon, Little Lin."

Hirasawa Yui greeted him aloud, a smile full of vitality surfacing on her face.

Lin looked at them: "Good afternoon, Manabe-san, Yui."

Beside her, Nodoka Manabe smiled faintly: "President, Kotegawa-san, good afternoon."

After exchanging greetings, Hirasawa Yui looked at Kotegawa Yui, a trace of curiosity appearing on her face:

"And this classmate is?"

She felt as though she had seen this person somewhere before, but she couldn't quite recall it at the moment.

Looking at the energetic and cute Hirasawa Yui, Kotegawa Yui lifted the corners of her mouth slightly, revealing a small smile on her exquisite face:

"Hello, my name is Kotegawa Yui."

Hearing this, Hirasawa Yui grinned and introduced herself as well: "Hello Kotegawa-san, my name is Hirasawa Yui."

Subsequently, she asked curiously: "What is your relationship with Little Lin? Nodoka recognizes you too; are you on the Student Council as well?"

Hearing Hirasawa Yui ask about her relationship with Lin, Kotegawa Yui's eyes shifted slightly, a strange light flashing within them.

She smiled and said: "Yes, I am also on the Student Council. I was invited by the President to serve as a Public Morals Committee member."

She did not answer Hirasawa Yui's first question.

"Eh, a Public Morals Committee member!"

Hirasawa Yui didn't notice the omission either. She was a little surprised to learn that Kotegawa Yui was on the Public Morals Committee.

"Wait, I remember now!"

She suddenly thought of something and said hurriedly: "No wonder I felt like I had seen Kotegawa-san before. So you are the Public Morals Committee member who inspects at the school gate."

Every morning, as a Public Morals Committee member, Kotegawa Yui would stand at the school gate with the teachers to inspect the students' appearance and dress code.

Hirasawa Yui had occasionally caught a few glimpses of Kotegawa Yui when coming to school before, but she hadn't remembered her appearance—after all, she had never had any interactions with Kotegawa Yui due to disciplinary issues.

Kotegawa Yui nodded with a smile: "It's me."

The group of four chatted as they walked, parting ways at a fork in the road.

Hirasawa Yui helped carry Lin's guitar and headed to the Light Music Club, while Lin, Kotegawa Yui, and Nodoka Manabe proceeded to the Student Council.

Soon, the three arrived at the office.

Lin and his two companions arrived first; Kaguya Shinomiya and Chika Fujiwara had not yet arrived.

Putting down their schoolbags, the three began their daily work.

About five minutes later, Kaguya Shinomiya and Chika Fujiwara arrived.

"Hello! President, Manabe-san, Kotegawa-san."

Chika Fujiwara greeted them with her usual abounding energy. Subsequently, Kaguya Shinomiya also greeted the three with a calm expression.

Placing her schoolbag down properly, Chika Fujiwara looked at Lin with a smile and asked:

"President, the midterm exam results come out tomorrow. Are you nervous right now? What if you lose? If Kaguya-san takes first place, you'll become the Vice President, and Kaguya-san will be the President."

Nodoka Manabe, Kotegawa Yui, and Kaguya Shinomiya all looked toward Lin.

Lin hooked the corners of his mouth into a confident smile: "What is there to be nervous about? Taking first place is effortless for me. Why not ask Student Shinomiya if she is nervous right now?"

Hearing Lin's words, everyone involuntarily looked toward Kaguya Shinomiya.

Kaguya Shinomiya's eyes shifted slightly. With an unchanged expression and a calm tone, she said:

"What a coincidence, I feel the same as the President. I feel I have absolute certainty in taking first place this time."

Although she said this verbally, she was still a little nervous.

Because the difficulty of this midterm exam was higher than the entrance exam, she felt some questions were quite difficult and sensed she might lose.

But even if she was a little worried, she still felt she had a high chance of winning. Nothing was decided until the results were out. At the very least, she couldn't lose in momentum right now.

Thinking of this, Kaguya Shinomiya's gaze involuntarily became firm.

The two locked eyes, their gazes intertwining.

Chika Fujiwara, Nodoka Manabe, and Kotegawa Yui couldn't help but exchange glances, as if they saw invisible sparks flying.

Seeing that Lin and Kaguya Shinomiya seemed to be playing a staring game, Chika Fujiwara hurriedly changed the subject:

"By the way, President, Manabe-san, Kotegawa-san, did you go anywhere fun during the two-day holiday? I went to the amusement park with my little sister and big sister."

Lin looked at Chika Fujiwara, curled his lips slightly into a smile, and said: "My experience this holiday was actually quite exciting."

"Quick, tell us!"

Hearing this, Chika Fujiwara's eyes instantly lit up. She blinked her beautiful, large eyes and looked at Lin with a face full of anticipation.

Kaguya Shinomiya and the others also looked at Lin with varying degrees of curiosity.

Seeing that everyone was somewhat curious, Lin nodded with a smile and said: "Alright, I'll tell you guys about it."

"The story starts after school let out on Friday. I boarded a spaceship and headed for the distant starry sky."

"???"

Upon hearing the first sentence of the holiday experience Lin recounted, Kaguya Shinomiya and the other three were stunned, several question marks popping up in their heads.

Lin continued telling the story:

"...On a planet named Mestea, I met a Universe Hegemon who had unified the Galaxy. The other party wanted to test whether I possessed the strength to become a Universe Hegemon, so a battle unfolded right there."

"We fought from the planet all the way into outer space. Both the other party and I brought out our true skills; the aftershocks generated by every exchange were enough to tear apart the moon."

"In a split second, the heavens fell and the earth cracked, the sun and moon lost their light, and even the cosmic starry sky trembled amidst our battle. It was as if the Great Dao itself was being obliterated."

"After several hours of fierce fighting, that Universe Hegemon and I coincidentally began the most direct clash of energy beams. The energy released could easily blast the Earth apart thousands of times over."

"Suddenly, a miracle happened."

"The terrifying energy blasted open a spatial black hole, which combined with the power of time to become a time-space black hole. Through this time-space black hole, I traveled to more than twenty years in the past and met the young Universe Hegemon."

"And then..."

Listening to Lin's narration, the expressions of Kaguya Shinomiya, Chika Fujiwara, Nodoka Manabe, and Kotegawa Yui gradually turned strange.

Are you sure this is a holiday experience?

"Wait..."

By the time Lin finished telling his holiday experience, Chika Fujiwara finally couldn't control her urge to roast him:

"President, are you sober? Is this really about your holiday experience? It clearly sounds like a story that only exists in those novels and anime. Whoever believes it is an idiot."

Although Kaguya Shinomiya, Nodoka Manabe, and Kotegawa Yui didn't speak, they obviously shared Chika Fujiwara's thoughts.

The story told was just too magical.

Not only running off to the cosmic starry sky to fight a so-called Universe Hegemon but even traveling to the past and staying for seven days.

Chika Fujiwara spoke again: "I see you have quite a few ideas, President. Why don't you refine these stories you just told and write a novel?"

"Eh..."

At this moment, Lin feigned surprise and said: "Secretary Fujiwara, how did you know I am a light novel author?"
