Chapter 252 - Chapter 252: Partner Eevee

Eevee felt a warm rush as Yozora's large hand gently stroked its fur.

Looking up at the human before it, a strange sense of closeness welled up inside the little Pokémon's heart—almost as if they had been bound by fate in a previous life.

With that thought, Eevee nodded without hesitation. "Eevee, eevee!"

"That's great—Eevee, I've captured Eevee!"

Yozora grinned with joy at the reply, scooping Eevee into his arms. Its fluffy coat was soft and comforting to the touch.

After sharing a few moments of warmth, Yozora waved farewell to the wild Pokémon nearby. Eevee, standing by his side, cried out to bid its companions goodbye as well.

This time, Yozora captured only this one Eevee.

As for the Scyther, their potential was far too low to catch his eye. He would have to wait until he encountered stronger, more outstanding Scyther in the future.

"Alright, Eevee, this is for you."

Yozora pulled out a treasured item he had been keeping—the Tri-Color Evolution Stone—and handed it to Eevee. The moment Eevee touched it, the stone dissolved into its body, completely absorbed.

At once, Eevee's form began to glow with three dazzling colors of light, shifting and flickering in a breathtaking display.

"Eevee!?" Startled by the sudden transformation, Eevee gave a sharp cry.

But soon, a strange and overwhelming energy surged within it.

Its little face shifted from shock to delight. Looking back at Yozora, its eyes were filled with gratitude.

It understood—its life would never again be ordinary.

Pokémon: Partner Eevee

Type: Normal

Ability: Adaptability

Level: Senior

Potential: Pseudo-legendary

Moves: Quick Attack, Sand Attack, Swift

Description: A mysterious Eevee capable of freely shifting between Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and its base Eevee form.

"Pseudo-legendary potential?" Yozora's heart skipped a beat as he read Eevee's status panel.

He hadn't even added extra abilities yet—it was only a single Tri-Color Evolution Stone! And still, Eevee had reached pseudo-legendary potential.

Potential represented innate talent.

Pseudo-legendary talent…

If such a level appeared in a Shiny Pokémon, or perhaps a Totem Pokémon, that would be understandable.

But now, it had appeared in a simple, ordinary Eevee. This was nothing short of invincible!

At the same time, it proved just how powerful the Tri-Color Evolution Stone truly was. It didn't merely refine Eevee's body—it granted it the ability to freely switch between three different evolved forms!

"How does it feel, Eevee? Can you sense that special energy inside you?"

Yozora smiled warmly. "Try it out. Transform into Flareon first."

Eevee nodded. With a flash of white light, it shifted seamlessly into Flareon.

Yozora quickly checked its moves.

Sure enough, in addition to its original skills, new moves had appeared: Flamethrower, Fire Spin, and Smokescreen.

"Now try Vaporeon!" Yozora called out, excitement in his voice.

Another flash of light—Eevee became Vaporeon. Its panel no longer listed Flamethrower or Fire Spin, but instead displayed Water Gun and Water Pulse.

"Next—Jolteon!"

Again, light flashed. Eevee instantly became Jolteon, without the slightest pause or resistance.

Eevee itself seemed thrilled, shifting back into its original Eevee form in another burst of light.

It now carried both its adorable appearance and an astonishing ability—to evolve and devolve freely at will.

"And this ability of yours is incredible…" Yozora chuckled. Eevee's trait was Adaptability.

Adaptability: Increases the power of same-type moves by 100%.

That meant a full 200% of normal power!

Consider this: a Dratini using Dragon Breath gains a Same-Type Attack Bonus (STAB), raising its power to 150%. But if it used Flamethrower or Water Gun, the move would stay at base 100%.

Eevee, however, was different.

When it used Flamethrower, it became Flareon—Fire-type—thus gaining STAB.When it used Water Gun, it became Vaporeon—Water-type—also gaining STAB.

In other words—no matter what move it used, Eevee always gained STAB. That was 150% power.

With Adaptability, that rose to 200%!

And since Adaptability was its base trait, Yozora could even stack more Adaptability onto it.

In that case, the bonus would be far beyond just 50%…

Partner Eevee (Adaptability + Adaptability + Adaptability + Speed Boost): Senior-level, Tier 3 Legendary potential.

Speed Boost was also necessary, giving it excellent mobility.

After that, Yozora simply kept stacking Adaptability.

Since the day was still young, Yozora continued his journey through the forest with Eevee, letting it battle wild Pokémon along the way to master its newfound power.

By evening, he camped by a river and released all his Pokémon.

Charizard, Gengar, Dratini, Crystal Onix, Eevee, and Miltank.

The team welcomed Eevee warmly, especially Miltank, who immediately cuddled the little one in her arms.

Yozora's Miltank had a strong maternal nature. Since Dratini had grown, she no longer shared the same intimacy with it as in its youth.

Now, with little Eevee around, that maternal warmth shone again.

One week passed.

Yozora remained in the nameless forest, training.

During that week, he constantly sent Dratini, Eevee, and Crystal Onix into battles with wild Pokémon.

Occasionally, they met other trainers, and Yozora never refused a match.

Thanks to their relentless effort, all three Pokémon grew immensely.

Dratini reached mid-Senior level.Eevee and Crystal Onix both advanced to Senior level, low tier.

The growth rate was astonishing.

Compared to the same period last year, his Pokémon's progress was beyond belief.

The secret was Mind's Eye.

When Yozora activated it, he seemed to merge with nature itself, his senses sharpened, able to easily understand his Pokémon's hearts and needs.

The bond between trainer and Pokémon soared each day.

In just one week, Yozora, Eevee, and Crystal Onix had reached a state of perfect resonance. They had forged a true bond.

Something that would have been impossible before.
