Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Secret Revealed?!

When he carried me back to the room, he asked as he walked:

"A Tuong, how are you feeling?"

Hearing that, I avoided Vu Than's eyes and awkwardly replied:

"Ah, I... I'm fine." Seeing me say that, Vu Than slightly frowned and thought to himself:

"Are you lying..?"

But on the surface he didn't say anything, still slowly carrying me back to the room... the atmosphere was suffocatingly silent, I just hoped that he would quickly carry me to the room and leave...

After arriving at my room, Vu Than gently put me down on the bed, acting carefully as if he didn't want me to get hurt, then at that time I thought he would leave, but contrary to my thoughts, Vu Than didn't leave, but instead took a chair in the corner of my room, pulled it to the edge of the bed, and sat there with his legs crossed...

Vu Than saw me a little surprised, slightly raised his eyebrows, smiled teasingly, and said:

"A Tuong ah... you don't want me to sit here like this"

he said, his eyes also looked at me attentively, full of interest

I was a little startled, turned away, and mumbled: "no...no"

After that, the atmosphere fell into silence again, I turned my head away to avoid Vu Than's scrutinizing gaze, and he looked at me slightly and fell into deep thought:

"this person is not The Van Tuong I used to know.."

Finally, Vu Than thought about something and then lowered his voice a bit, his eyes became more serious as he said: "You're not... her, right?"

I was startled and turned around at Vu Than's words, then I quickly turned my head away to hide my slightly panicked expression, slightly turning away from Vu Than's probing gaze, my mouth stuttering slightly, saying:

"You...what are you saying...why don't I understand anything?" I thought to myself: "how does he know, has he discovered something..."

Vu Than looked at me with an even deeper gaze, speaking in a low voice with a bit of pressure different from his usual expression, saying: "No matter how you pretend, it's not like Van Tuong at all..."

I looked at Vu Than, a strange ominous feeling welling up in my heart, but I still seemed to want to argue, so I said: "But...I-" before I could finish speaking, Vu Than stopped me. He smiled and replied with a deep smile, his eyes unpredictable, saying:

"Don't bring up the reason for losing memory again because before you appeared, Van Tuong had already...stopped breathing..." the words That made me dumbfounded, looking at Vu Than with disbelief.

Vu Than looked at me like that, then smiled slightly and said: "It seems that I guessed correctly.." I looked at him with a somewhat wary gaze, thinking to myself:

"How did he know and is what he said true?"

Vu Than looked at me then turned back with his usual expression, leaning back slightly and smiling, saying:

"Your personality is very different from the previous Van Tuong, even if you have lost your memory... do you understand?"

I pursed my lips, feeling a little regretful and mixed with an indescribable sense of guilt, slightly lowering my head and falling into my own frivolous thoughts:

"Is it good if I keep not admitting it? Am I doing the right thing or am I being selfish and only thinking about myself?.."

Vu Than saw me thinking like that and also let out a breath and said:

"But don't be too nervous, the previous Van Tuong has already passed away so... you should live well in this identity, it's not impossible...."

I heard that, bowing my head, but in surprise, I raised my head and looked at Vu Than with a slightly disbelieving gaze.

After a while of thinking, I slightly raised my head and looked straight at Vu Than's face, unable to hold back my curiosity and asked, feeling a little afraid and a little wary. : "So you...don't you hate or resent me for...taking over this body..?"

Vu Than heard that and looked at me, his eyes slightly lowered, saying:

"Why should I hate you or resent you? If it's fate, then if I hate you, what can I do?"

I was a little stunned by Vu Than's words, my heart was a little heavy, thinking to myself: "What he said is really...right"

Then he also spoke:

"Don't think too much pressure, just like before...live in this identity and do the things you like because after all...this body is yours now"

While I was a little surprised by Vu Than's words, he added:

"If I tell the truth...I'm not from this world..."

The words just finished made me, who was deep in thought, raise my head, eyes wide open, mouth wide open, looking at Vu Than with an expression of disbelief...?!
