Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Unconscious... Cover-up?

I was startled by Kinh Uyen's words. His eyes were so cold that it made me tremble slightly, stammering:

"Excuse me...excuse me. Are you okay?"

I even reached out to support him, but Kinh Uyen didn't pay any attention. His eyes fell right on the bite mark on my forehead.

He slightly raised his lips in a sinister smile.

Kinh Uyen stood up by himself, brushed off his clothes, his voice was indifferent but touched my skin like a cold knife:

"Oh, why did I make the young master wait? How rude."

I stood there, frozen.

Ignorant?

Who forced me to cry last night? Who hurt me?

He must have forgotten his morals somewhere.

Perhaps because I looked at him with resentment, Kinh Uyen raised his hand towards me again.

I was startled, pulled back, and closed my eyes as if I was about to be bitten again.

He paused for a second. His eyes darkened, making it hard to guess.

Then he slid his cold fingers up my shirt, picking out a strand of hair.

"…There's a strand of hair."

I opened my eyes, staring blankly.

It was really just hair.

Suddenly, I felt so embarrassed that I wanted to hide under my head.

I was about to open my mouth to apologize when.

Kinh Uyen's fingers touched my neck.

Glide lightly.

Then slide down to my collarbone.

I froze.

My face was so hot that it felt like it was about to smoke.

The apology was stuck in my throat.

He lowered his head, his voice low and hoarse:

"Young master, your mother is coming back today. Don't let her see this."

Without even waiting for my reaction, he turned and left.

His cold back made my heart skip a beat for no reason.

I hugged the place he had just touched and looked at him, vaguely… uncomfortable.

Then I told myself:

No. I have to tell Vu Than about this.

After changing clothes, I went down to have breakfast.

At the dining table, both mother and son were a bit awkward.

Mom looked at me carefully for a while and then asked:

"What's wrong? Your face is always red."

I heard her say that and quickly covered up:

"Y- yes… I'm fine."

While eating, I glanced at Kinh Uyen who was talking to the maids.

I don't know why he also looked over at that moment.

Our eyes met for a second.

I turned away in surprise, my heart pounding as if someone had just pinched me.

"What are you looking at?" – Mom asked.

I replied with a slightly confused voice:

"No… I wasn't looking…"

Mom looked over at Kinh Uyen, her expression was slightly gloomy but she didn't say anything.

Just said:

"After eating, go to the airport to see A Than off for me."

I froze when I heard that sentence raised in doubt:

"Huh?! Mom… you said I'm sending… who?"

She also sipped tea and said:

"Vu Than is going on a two-year survey. You go and send him off for me."

I clenched my hand a little, a little panicked.

In my mother's eyes, she must have thought I didn't want to be away from Vu Than, so she reacted strongly.

After eating, I got in the car with Kinh Uyen to the airport.

On the way, I was as quiet as a statue.

In my heart, I just reminded myself:

Don't talk. Don't look. Don't get involved. He's a bad person.

Kinh Uyen glanced at me a few times but didn't open his mouth.

When we got to the airport, I ran to hug Vu Than.

"Vu Than! Are you really leaving? Are you in a hurry?"

Vu Than was a little surprised at first but then he smiled and patted my head like a child:

"Why are you so childish?"

His eyes stopped on the bandage near my neck and he asked with some doubt:

"This...?"

I was startled and tried to cover it up:

"Cat! Cat scratch! It's okay!"

He looked at me suspiciously but didn't ask any more questions.

Then he and I talked for a while longer..

When it was time for the plane to take off, I also saw him off to the plane. When he left, I was a little sad because from now on, I would have no one to play with anymore..

On the way back, Kinh Uyen suddenly asked:

"Young master, do you want to stop somewhere?"

I looked out the window, not wanting to see Kinh Uyen's face:

"No."

The car was dead silent.

When I got home, I went straight to my room and closed the door.

Lying down on the bed, I felt strangely empty.

Wu Shen is gone… the servants are busy too…

Suddenly there is no one to talk to.

King Yuan's face flashed through my mind.

I immediately shook my head vigorously.

No. He only knows how to bully me.

What do I… expect from him?

I buried my face in my pillow and sighed.

What the hell is wrong with me…
