Chapter 24 - Chapter 24. Sowing Four Mu of Land.

Shen Xingyan examined the attribute points he received from the level-up and couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration; this feeling was truly addictive.

All four of his core stats had increased by one point. His Strength, Agility, and Spirit had reached 11 points, while his Constitution, thanks to the 1 point he had already increased in the real world, was now at 12 points.

If Shen Xingyan had 60 gold coins right now, he could transfer all 6 attribute points to the real world, which would completely compensate for the long and agonizing training that might not even have yielded the same result.

Shen Xingyan shook his head and decided not to think about it anymore. Based on his current situation, although he was making money faster than ordinary combat professionals, he still had a long way to go before he could transfer his stats, and it wasn't an issue that required an immediate solution.

Then he paid attention to the 1% reduction in his professional skill's cooldown time. The improvement was insignificant, as he had expected. After all, it was only a one-level increase—a more substantial improvement would likely happen at level 10.

Looking at the 2 free attribute points he had received from leveling up, Shen Xingyan hesitated to allocate them. Initially, he had planned to add them to his Constitution, which would increase his stamina and allow him to work on his farm for longer. However, the three mu of land gifted by the Star Source made him reconsider.

His gaze instinctively landed on his Primal Energy stat. Based on his previous experience, using his professional skill on one mu of land required 5 points of Primal Energy. Now that he had four mu of land, it was logical to assume he would need 20 points. But he only had 18 points, which was not enough to use on all the land. This would lead to an inefficient use of resources, and the only solution was to increase his Primal Energy limit.

He had been taught four ways to increase the Primal Energy limit in school:

A natural increase over time—approximately 1 point per year, synchronized between the Star Source world and reality.

An increase upon reaching level 10 of a profession and with every subsequent level-up, but only in the Star Source world.

Purchase it in the Star Source store or receive it by killing monsters and earning rewards from the Star Source.

Allocate free attribute points to Primal Energy.

Shen Xingyan considered the fourth option but hesitated because of the specifics of his profession. For farmers, with their long skill cooldowns, Primal Energy wasn't as necessary as it was for combat professionals.

If it weren't for the additional three mu of land, Shen Xingyan wouldn't have even considered it. However, in the foreseeable future, he would likely not have a shortage of money, and transferring stats to the real world would be more practical than transferring Primal Energy.

Weighing the pros and cons, Shen Xingyan still decided to add his free points to Primal Energy. He preferred to focus on the present rather than the possible future. In the worst-case scenario, he would lose two stat points, which he could compensate for with real-world training.

Having made his decision, Shen Xingyan, without hesitation, clicked the "+" icon next to the Primal Energy stat twice, and the value changed from 18/18 to 20/20.

After allocating his attribute points, Shen Xingyan immediately opened the Star Source store and found the level one seed section. A list of four types appeared before him: red carrots, white radishes, Chinese cabbage, and wheat.

Shen Xingyan chose wheat without hesitation. Among the level one seeds, it had the longest growth period and, consequently, the highest value after harvest.

Red carrots, white radishes, and Chinese cabbage all matured in just three days, which wouldn't allow him to fully utilize the benefits of his professional skill. Besides, it would be too difficult to break the Star Source record with these crops.

Experienced, high-level farmers, with their accelerated cultivation skills and longer time spent in the Star Source world, had set records that Shen Xingyan would likely be unable to surpass with these fast-growing crops.

Furthermore, Wangcai and the other skeletons were already used to growing wheat, so there was no need to change crops.

After selecting the seeds for four mu of land, Shen Xingyan clicked the purchase button and found that the price was 280 copper coins, and that was with the 30% discount already applied.

"If the Star Source hadn't initially gifted me the wheat seeds, I might not have even been able to afford them!" Shen Xingyan sighed.

He then checked the prices for tools:

Item: Hoe

Properties: Attack +1

Durability: 10/10

Cost: 10 copper coins

An indispensable tool for farmers.

Item: Sickle

Properties: Attack +1

Durability: 10/10

Cost: 10 copper coins

Item: Sickle

Cost: 10 copper coins

An indispensable tool for farmers.

Seeing that the prices weren't too high, Shen Xingyan bought 15 of each tool, spending 300 copper coins. He planned to give them to the skeletons and save the rest for the future.

Although these tools, unlike his own, had durability limits, they didn't seem expensive to Shen Xingyan.

After distributing the hoes and seeds to Wangcai and the other skeletons, Shen Xingyan, along with Wangcai, began to teach the remaining four skeletons how to sow. It was unclear if they were already used to agricultural work or for some other reason, but the training went surprisingly smoothly.

In less than two minutes, the new skeletons were already expertly at work, and the process of sowing all four mu of land officially began.

The seven workers, including Shen Xingyan, spent about two hours to successfully sow all four mu with wheat.

Shen Xingyan bought 20 buckets from the Star Source store for 100 copper coins and placed them by the well for the skeletons to use later.

After the seven workers had watered all the land in ten minutes, Shen Xingyan approached the well, took out his beginner's staff, selected the entire field as his target, and activated his professional skill.

As all the Primal Energy began to circulate violently within his body, Shen Xingyan felt its movement much more distinctly than before, and some insights appeared in his mind.

It was a pity that he didn't have a combat profession—with such insights, he probably could have dealt more damage when fighting monsters.
