Chapter 79 - Chapter 79. Truly a Happy Problem!

"The Berserk skill of Wangcai and the others truly doubles their base attributes! What a truly mysterious hidden ability! Such a boost is simply incredible!" exclaimed Shen Xingyan, confirming his assumptions after examining the small skeleton's attributes in the berserk state.

Delighting in the discovery, he couldn't help but sigh: "It's just a shame that the skeletons' base attributes are still too low. Even though the Berserk skill doubles their stats, they still won't be able to participate in combat with such numbers. Plus, they don't have a leveling system, so raising their attributes through leveling is impossible! The only way I know to improve them is to use Talent Stones to enhance my innate skill. It would be wonderful if they could level up!"

Thinking this, Shen Xingyan shook his head regretfully, then tapped his forehead and smiled bitterly: was he being too greedy?

As the proverb goes, "Man's insatiable heart can swallow even an elephant"—this perfectly described his current state. Fortunately, years of hardship had instilled in him an instinctive aversion to such greed, and he quickly suppressed those thoughts.

Shaking off negative emotions was habitual for Shen Xingyan. Without this ability, even with the support of such warm sunshine as Chu Wei, he likely wouldn't be who he is now.

Shen Xingyan returned his attention to the small skeleton before him. Studying the description of the Berserk skill and reflecting on his innate talent, he thought:

"In the future, as I break the Star Source records more frequently, the probability of obtaining Talent Stones will increase, and the small skeletons' attributes will improve faster and faster. Consequently, the effect of the Berserk skill will also become more powerful."

"Perhaps, just perhaps, I really will be able to become a true warrior!"

At this thought, Shen Xingyan slightly extended his hand, as if his dream was already within reach. The smile on his face grew wider, and one hand lightly adjusted Wangcai's straw hat as he looked forward.

Wangcai also looked at the small skeleton in front of him. Although he couldn't see the attribute panel, he seemed to understand the meaning of the original command from the skeleton's behavior and his master's satisfied smile. A dark blue light, immediately disappearing, briefly flashed in his large eye sockets.

Shen Xingyan, engrossed in his thoughts and gazing into the distance, missed this strange occurrence. Only after some time did his emotions gradually calm down.

"A journey of a thousand li begins with a single step!" Shen Xingyan knew this proverb well.

In his mind, although the path ahead was full of light, he still had to manage to walk it. Stay calm! Don't take risks! Live to see that moment! That is what was truly important now.

Shen Xingyan sent Wangcai back to work, then surveyed the entire field. The attentive master noticed that the current five mǔ of land were now completely insufficient for his skeletons! The increase in attributes had led to a boost in labor efficiency, and with the field area unchanged, the small skeletons clearly had excess manpower!

Accustomed to thriftiness since childhood, Shen Xingyan regretted this, but there was nothing he could do.

He secretly hoped that tomorrow, when the potatoes matured, the reward for breaking the record would include more land. Otherwise, until he could plant Level 3 seeds, the skeletons' surplus labor would simply be wasted.

"Truly a happy problem!" sighed Shen Xingyan, lying down in his usual spot, hands tucked beneath his head, and easily and pleasantly drifted off to sleep.

The scenes that appeared in his dream brought a slight smile to his lips—today's pleasant surprises manifested once again in his consciousness in a different form.

Accompanied by these wonderful dreams, a new day dawned.

Waking up rested and energized, Shen Xingyan saw Wangcai and the other skeletons surrounding him. He was already accustomed to this sight, so he wasn't at all surprised. However, from his current lying position, it was clearly visible that the skeletons had grown significantly and were even starting to exert a slight pressure with their presence.

For their master, Shen Xingyan, this feeling of pressure automatically transformed into a sense of security.

Sitting up, Shen Xingyan patted Wangcai, who stood beside him, with a smile, and shifted his gaze to the fields before him.

Two small skeletons were working on each mǔ of land, moving in an orderly and skilled manner, as if turning farming into a genuine skill. All the other skeletons were encircling him.

This discovery surprised Shen Xingyan, and he looked at Wangcai with interest, not having expected such organization. Wangcai was ensuring his orders were carried out while simultaneously protecting his master—such care for both fronts was very thoughtful.

"Wangcai, you are becoming an increasingly competent captain. When you get more subordinates, I'll appoint a couple of junior captains, and you'll become the chief captain. That way you'll have fewer worries," Shen Xingyan patted Wangcai with satisfaction, making a very realistic promise.

After all, he could now summon two skeletons every day, and their number was growing at an unprecedented speed. It was likely that this promise could be fulfilled in just a few days.

In response to this promise, Wangcai, as if understanding, slightly shook his small skull, expressing joy.

Having painted this picture of the future, Shen Xingyan walked around the field, checked the potato growth, and, satisfied, "logged off," returning to the real world.

After Shen Xingyan's departure, Wangcai, the captain of the skeletons, slowly surveyed the surrounding small skeletons, scratching his skull with his knuckles as if contemplating whom to appoint as junior captains. Had Shen Xingyan witnessed such human-like behavior from Wangcai, he would have been utterly astonished.

Returning to reality, Shen Xingyan was in no rush to get out of bed. Instead, he took pleasure in checking his money on the Star Map. Although this harvest didn't bring in a huge amount, it was income nonetheless.

However, while checking his wallet, he accidentally noticed changes in his attribute panel, and his joyful gaze instantly froze in astonishment.
