Chapter 48 - Ch.48

However, her clumsy acting and the faint scent of gorse flowers in the air couldn't fool Sayuri. Seeing her mother's relentless probing, and knowing that she was the one who taught her this method, Eriri had no choice but to blush and admit it.

"I knew it! Tell me, quickly! The detailed process! Did Luo Guang grow up well?" Eriri was stunned by her mother's reaction. Why does Mom seem more curious than me?

"I... I don't really remember. I just remember that it hurt a lot at first, but the pain went away quickly. After that, I can't remember. My mind was in a hazy state, like I was flying in the sky and swimming in the water at the same time."

"Oh, so that's what it feels like." Sayuri nodded earnestly, like a student paying close attention in class.

Eriri was in a state of extreme embarrassment and didn't notice the expression on her mother's face.

"It seems Luo Guang has great stamina. He didn't look tired at all when he said goodbye," Sayuri commented.

Eriri then seemed to remember something and asked nervously, "Mom... what if I get pregnant?"

"You won't. It's not that easy during the safe period. Your mom has already checked," Sayuri replied, shaking her head.

"That's good." Eriri breathed a sigh of relief. It was too early for her to be a mother.

"So, is there anything else?" Sayuri continued to ask.

"No, that's all. We just tried different positions, so I got a lot of material," Eriri said, her cheeks so red they looked like they were about to bleed. Just thinking about the embarrassing poses made her want to bury her head in the blankets.

But Sayuri's curiosity was not so easily satisfied. "Tell me all the details!"

"???"

Noticing her daughter's shocked expression, Sayuri realized she might have been a little too excited. "Ahem, I'm just... worried about your health. If there's nothing else, I'm relieved. I'll make you some blood-replenishing food tonight to help you recover."

Sayuri muttered to herself as she left. She barely managed to hide her true intentions from her daughter.

As for Eriri, she was extremely grateful. Thank goodness tomorrow is still the weekend. I can rest at home, or else I would have had to take a day off.

Back home, Luo Guang found Asia and Est playing together. "We're having stir-fried noodles tonight, along with some cold dishes." Even after living in Japan for a long time, Luo Guang still wasn't used to the overly light cuisine. Asia offered to help, but when it came to food, Luo Guang had his own standards.

After a satisfying meal, Asia took on the responsibility of cleaning up. Est continued to watch TV, while Luo Guang summoned Ddraig and sank his consciousness into the Sacred Gear's inner space to continue using the Myriad Souls Banner to clear out the resentful souls of the past Red Dragon Emperor hosts. Although these spirits were his predecessors, Luo Guang had no intention of holding back. They would become stumbling blocks on his path to becoming stronger and had even tried to attack him, so they weren't innocent. Many of these souls had been assimilated by the older ones, like a domino effect. If he wasn't strong-willed and forced the Juggernaut Drive too many times, he wouldn't go insane, but he would at least suffer from a mental breakdown.

By late night, Luo Guang had absorbed a fifth of the souls. "Partner, the ability of your Sacred Gear is a perfect counter to these vengeful spirits. At this rate, you'll be able to try activating Juggernaut Drive in about a week!" Ddraig was also a little excited. He felt a sense of accomplishment that he had found such a monstrous host who could unleash a hundred percent of his power.

"That's normal," Luo Guang said.

"Even though you're powerful, you must be careful not to become arrogant or reckless. I've seen many people get lost after gaining power," Ddraig warned.

"If I could be swayed by mere power, it would only prove that I wasn't that impressive to begin with." During this time, Luo Guang's strength had been advancing by leaps and bounds. In a wuxia novel, improving too quickly would lead to a qi deviation. But Luo Guang wasn't worried. He knew that such a thing couldn't happen to him.

"It's time to rest."

"Then good night, partner."

After saying goodbye, Luo Guang went to his bedroom. As a self-disciplined person, Luo Guang rarely stayed up late. He would sleep until morning, never letting fatigue and stress carry over to the next day. Asia wasn't in his room tonight, but Est was already drooling in her blanket. Luo Guang affectionately hugged the Sword Spirit, treating her like a soft, fragrant body pillow as he fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, Sunday.

Considering that Asia would be a permanent resident, Luo Guang took her to the downtown market to buy some feminine supplies. Afterward, they had a fulfilling lunch at a buffet, watched a movie in the afternoon, and had dinner out before heading home.

Luo Guang glanced at the clock. It was 8:40 PM. He had received a message from Koneko earlier during their outing, saying that the contest between him and Riser would be at 8:00 PM. It was still early, so there was no need to rush.

He got up from the sofa with about twenty minutes to spare. "Asia, you stay here. I might be back late tonight, so don't wait up for me."

With that, Luo Guang got on his motorcycle and sped off.
