Even with the Balance Breaker, Luo Guang couldn't rest easy. Although the Insubordinate Gods in the Campione! world were often criticized as "fake gods," their power, when bound by myths, was anything but "fake." He would only be qualified to stand on the same stage as those Insubordinate Gods after he had fully mastered his Juggernaut Drive. After tallying his gains, Luo Guang went to bed peacefully, never leaving his fatigue for the next day.
The next morning, the air was subtly sweet, making him feel refreshed. After putting Est back, Luo Guang went to school with Asia. Although his current status meant he didn't need to attend school, Luo Guang didn't dislike campus life or studying; he just hated the boring and burdensome homework and exams. Since he got perfect scores in all his subjects, he didn't do any homework, aside from some necessary tests. He could even do whatever he wanted in class as long as he didn't disturb the other students.
"Luo Guang, Asia, you're here." Koneko greeted them.
"Go on," Luo Guang said, patting Asia's head. After enrolling, Asia had become another cute mascot for the class, inseparable from Koneko.
"L-Luo Guang?" A voice came from nearby after he sat down. He saw Eriri Spencer Sawamura with her face down on her desk, looking at Luo Guang with a silly smile on her elf-like face.
"What's wrong?" Luo Guang asked.
"Nothing, I just wanted to call you that... Ahem, but seriously, I'm working on the changes you suggested. The drawing part should be fine now. Can I show it to you when it's finished?" The girl's face was distorted from being pressed against the desk.
Luo Guang didn't respond, only giving her a faint smile. Eriri then realized what that smile meant, and her fair face instantly turned red. "No... it's not what you think! I'm serious this time!" she pleaded in a low voice. "Please don't look at me like that again."
"Then I'll visit again this Saturday," Luo Guang replied. His words made her face light up, and when her female classmates came to find her, Eriri immediately returned to her usual persona.
During lunch break, Luo Guang received a notification from his bank. "100,000,000 yen has been deposited."
Luo Guang gave a brief reply: "Thanks."
At the same time, in an upperclassmen's classroom, Rias Gremory stared at the two-word text message, holding the screen with both hands, unsure how to reply. Following Akeno's advice, she shouldn't be so distant. She was his fiancée now.
"You're welcome..." Rias had just typed this out when she heard a voice behind her.
"You can't reply like that," Akeno Himejima said, sighing. "You should be direct and ask him out instead of trying to play games. If you keep dragging your feet, I'm really going to step in and steal him."
"Wouldn't that be too bold of me?" Rias hesitated.
"Then I'll go this weekend, and you can stay," Akeno said.
"That's definitely not happening," Rias immediately refused.
She then carefully typed out and sent a message: "This weekend... are you free?"
At the same time, Luo Guang received another message: "Akeno, Koneko, and I want to visit your house." He wasn't surprised by this. "Come whenever you want."
Meanwhile, Akeno put her hand to her forehead in exasperation at Rias's actions. "Rias, you're usually so elegant and composed. How can you not even know what to say at a time like this?"
"I... how should I know? What I'm thinking is completely different from what I'm sending!" Rias ran her fingers through her fiery red hair. For the first time, she felt that romance was even more difficult than a Rating Game.
A peaceful and interesting day soon ended, and Luo Guang rode his motorcycle home with Asia. Est woke up on cue, came out to sit on the couch and watch TV, while Asia helped prepare the ingredients, waiting for Luo Guang to show off his cooking skills at dinnertime.
After dinner, Luo Guang, as was his routine, summoned Ddraig and dove into the Sacred Gear's consciousness space to absorb the resentful souls of the past Red Dragon Emperors. After his efforts over the past few days, it would only take another three or four days to clear them out completely. Once all the souls were absorbed by the Myriad Souls Banner, he would need to find a place to test out the power of his Juggernaut Drive.
Juggernaut Drive was different from Balance Breaker. The power levels were different, and so were the effects. Luo Guang didn't want to have to do a major cleanup of his house afterward. Just as Luo Guang was about to put Ddraig back for the night, a message from someone named Hōzuki Yayoi arrived on his phone.
