Since that day, I activated my impregnation system and managed to breed my sister. As a result, I got the reward to cure Arisu's heart disease and incest with my sister became legitimate in the eyes of this world.
As much as Arisu didn't put it into words, I knew deep down it had to be terrifyingly painful for her if she ever tried to give birth while suffering from that fragile condition where illness had plagued her body since birth. And yet, despite that, she still nodded, still chose to believe in me or rather, pretended to.
She accepted my promise, even though she must have known how dubious it sounded when I claimed that breeding her would miraculously heal her disease.
But that was Arisu. Even if she doubted my words, she still went through with it, not because she was convinced, but because she wanted me chained, bound forever at her side.
That desperate clinginess, that obsessive devotion, it was adorable. It made me love her even more, day by day.
How could I not? Having such a devoted, possessive yandere girlfriend was nothing short of a blessing, even if that blessing came wrapped in madness.
Now, here we were on vacation, watching a movie together. Not just any random flick, my movie. A script I blatantly ripped from Guilty Crown, polished up, and sold to a reliable director who had the skills to turn it into a box office hit.
Normally, in the real world, it would be near impossible to turn anime into live-action movies without butchering it, without turning it into some soulless trash.
But this wasn't the real world. This was an anime world. And the logic here was the logic of anime itself. That meant even movies followed those rules, flashy, exaggerated, impossible by real standards, but perfectly natural here.
The movie didn't just succeed in Japan either. It blew up in North America as well. People loved it. Praised it. Suddenly my name was being thrown around as a reliable and profitable screenwriter, the kind who could deliver works that actually pulled audiences worldwide.
But I had no plans to join the director's circle, no interest in chasing prestige. I didn't want to be a slave for fame and power.
My goal was simple: become a capitalist young master, soak myself in money, status, and pleasure, and live without restraint.
"Fufufu... Takashi-kun, how do you plan to repay me?" Arisu teased, her lips curling into a sly grin as she leaned against me. "After all, it took a lot of effort to make this movie happen, especially when the plot hinted at incest, the younger sister falling into obsessive love with her brother. Don't you think I deserve something special for that?"
Of course, the fact that this movie could be released and that I was able to find a decent director, investors, and all the countless connections needed, was thanks to Arisu's background and her father's help.
At that time, I had not yet reaped the rewards of being the heir to a mega-corporation, so all the marketing affairs, securing a competent director, and building connections were entirely handled by Arisu, while I focused solely on the creation.
"How about I repay you with my body, my girlfriend-chan?" I smirked and pinched her nose playfully. She pouted like a spoiled child.
"What kind of repayment is that?"
"Then let me give myself to you completely, all day long. No one else, no interruptions, just you." I said it calmly, and her eyes lit up instantly.
"That's exactly what I wanted to hear, boyfriend-kun," she said, her expression glowing with happiness.
She pressed herself closer, resting against me as we kept watching the movie.
Then, she whispered, her tone suddenly sharp and thoughtful. "Honestly, boyfriend-kun, Mana is so pitiful. Her love was denied by the protagonist, and on top of that, she suffered through things that no girl her age should endure."
"She was experimented on and tested by her own parents. She carried all that pain because she didn't want her brother to suffer the same treatment, taking it all on herself so he could live a normal childhood."
"And in the end, even her mind and individuality were stripped away, swallowed by Eve, until she was reduced to a slave of Queen Apocalypse, all because of a meteorite she found in her parents' lab."
"If I didn't know you personally, I'd almost think you were a misogynist, someone who hated women and wanted them ruined and broken."
I touched my nose awkwardly, unsure how to respond. "Well... that's just the logical progression of the story."
What else could I even say? I wasn't the original author. I had no way of knowing the true mindset behind the story.
All I had done was steal the idea, reshape it for myself, and push it onto the big screen just so I could enjoy seeing anime turned into movies and more importantly, so I could enjoy that experience together with Arisu.
That was all there was to it
At my answer, Arisu rolled her eyes, her expression flat and unconvinced. "There are so many plot holes and wrong logic in that movie. Honestly, I think you just wanted to kill her off or maybe make the protagonist reject her because you needed the movie to pass the ratings and get distributed to the masses."
"Given your personality and morality so far, I actually believe you would've preferred the protagonist to accept and embrace the taboo with his sister. Don't you think so, boyfriend-kun?" she teased with a sly smirk, her voice dripping with provocation.
"Well, the world just isn't ready to accept such a beautiful kind of love yet. It's a pity, really, that our world is ruled by the weak," I sighed, my tone heavy with frustration.
Even here, in this so-called anime world, I still had to deal with censorship shoved down my throat.
It's hard to enjoy uncensored and explicit movies that also have a proper plot. There's always something missing, always some forced compromise just to please the ratings board.
"It really is unfortunate. Mana's easily my favorite character in the movie. Compared to Inori, I liked Mana way more. I wanted her to be happy with Shu… I wanted them together," Arisu confessed honestly, her voice soft but firm.
I stayed silent for a while, thinking about it, letting it sink in.
The ending had wrapped up with Ouma Shu losing literally everything. Inori died after taking the entire burden upon herself during the final battle, throwing her life away so Shu could stand against the last boss.
She died, yes, her body gone… but in a bittersweet way, she still lived on inside his heart.
Her void became part of him, absorbed into his existence, leaving Shu blind, scarred, and powerless.
The last shot showed him sitting alone on a bench, older, weaker, stripped of every ability, nothing but a hollow man clinging to the memory of the girl who had given him everything and left him with nothing but love and loss.
When that moment hit the screen, Arisu sniffled against my arm, tears spilling as she clung to me, completely broken by the raw beauty of it.
Even though she preferred Mana as a character and wanted her with Shu, she couldn't deny the painful, heartbreaking truth: the love between Shu and Inori, no matter how tragic, was beautiful and pure in its own way.
I wrapped my arm around her, comforting her as best I could, holding her tight. It wasn't just her, either.
You could feel it in the theater, the entire audience was tearing up, broken by the ending, united in the weight of that bittersweet love story.
With this opportunity laid before me, I finally gifted Arisu the divine elixir I had obtained from the system, the one that could cure her disease once and for all.
I held out the small, ornate bottle toward her as I spoke softly, "This is what I promised you, Arisu."
She blinked at me with teary eyes, still carrying the lingering emotions from the movie we had just watched.
Her gaze shifted to the elegant bottle in my hand, doubt flickering across her expression.
"The cure for your heart," I said gently, my voice low and steady.
"Fufufu… no need to comfort me, boyfriend-kun. I'm not that fragile," she replied, assuming my words were meant to soothe the sadness left by the film.
Still, she didn't hesitate.
She pulled the cork from the bottle and tipped the liquid back, swallowing it in one go. For a moment, her eyes fluttered shut, her body trembling lightly as her throat moved as she gulped it down.
A flush crept up her cheeks, her breathing steadied.
Afterward her lips curved into a satisfied smile, and she looked back at me with a glow in her gaze.
"I like the drink you gave me, boyfriend-kun. My body feels lighter, my head isn't heavy anymore, and I feel strangely refreshed. It's like I've suddenly become way more energetic."
Her voice carried a mix of surprise and happiness. The sadness she had felt just moments ago was gone, replaced by an almost childlike brightness.
Then, with a mischievous spark in her eyes, Arisu leaned close, her lilac hair brushing against my cheek as she pressed her soft lips against mine.
The kiss was warm, lingering, her tongue daringly brushing against my lips as if testing me before slipping in deeper.
When she finally pulled away, her cheeks were flushed, and she whispered with a teasing smile, "This is your reward, boyfriend-kun. Thank you for the movie… and for the gift. Honestly, this is the best birthday I've ever had in my entire life."
"No problem, my girlfriend-chan," I murmured back while my hand gently stroked through her silky lilac hair, savoring the smooth strands between my fingers.
She let out a content hum, resting her head against my arm like a spoiled cat, refusing to let go of the warmth we shared.
We stayed like that in the cinema seats for a while longer, surrounded by the fading background noise of the theater, simply enjoying the serene, intimate, and unbroken atmosphere of our little world.
