The moon set high in the sky, its form majestic. Its grandeur drew the attention of insects, birds sang, and dogs and wolves howled in respect to the queen of the night. Since the sky is the center for all, the ground is sacred and worshipped by young people just returning from a birthday party.
The whole group walked beneath the moon, hiding from it, some with their eyes closed, only to open them and see how far they were from reaching it; others fell to the ground, their bodies carried away. Hana was so happy with her rebirth that she carried Calisto on her back. Cassandra leaned against Dionysus, who flapped his wings slowly so as not to wake his sister. Philip was a serpent in himself; from the high-impact blows he sustained, he slithered to the ground, his scales helping him. Margarida became an old woman, using her Tirso to keep from hitting the ground, Heleno supporting her.
— How long have we been walking? — Calisto straightened up. — Are you okay up there, Love?
"Of course." He brought his arms closer to Hana's shoulders. "I have so many questions to ask..."
"Does Mary have any pain medication?" Felipe stopped meandering.
— Look! The bar is right there! — He ran faster than a racehorse. — Whoever gets there first wins!
Margarida took a step without support, her center of gravity shifted, causing her to fall, Heleno quickly caught her.
— you will not participate in this race.
— Are you sure? If we win, I'll tell my mom to tell you about her encounter with Gaia. I'll do the same thing as what happened, I won't even stay in the room. Do you want to win?
Margarida took the form of a child again and made Heleno drink Tirso's wine, he put his stepdaughter on the ground and used his Dual Memory, creating a motorcycle.
— Get up there!
- Beauty.
Hana stood in front of everyone, her body covered in fur, and her eyes reflected the moon. Calisto rested her chin on Hana's head and turned her wrists upward, releasing a draft.
Dionysus followed Hana closely, unable to increase his speed or his sister would fall from his lap. In a caressing gesture, he turned his face to see how Cassandra was resting. She pointed her hand to the ground and threw fireballs at Hana and Calisto.
—I'm a hero, so I can never lose! Speed up, little brother!
— Yes, Nee-san!
A boy with long blond hair was captivated by the moon's grandeur like beetles, and heard the dogs barking in its direction. He was dazzled by the moon, his attention entirely on the moon.
"Grandma, it's really beautiful here, isn't it?" He stood like a statue, his arms crossed on his knees. "We could stay here a little longer."
— He pulled the chair closer to the boy. — Of course, Eugene. When you're healed, you can go wherever you want with your parents. — He sat back down in the chair. — My angel, what do you see that's so interesting about the moon?
"I don't know the right words for this, I'll try to say it with what I know." He placed his hand on his chest. "She has so many friends by her side. I wish I had that." He put a lemon slice in his mouth. "Grandma, do you think I can have so many friends with her?"
— He grabbed his grandson's hand and lifted him up. — Of course. See those people over there? They're all your mother's friends, and they'll definitely be your friends too! — He pointed to the Apollo rookie squad. — Let's go in.
The boy turned his blue eyes towards the group that was in front of him, placed the lemon peel in front of Hana and Calisto, and smiled, realizing there that those two were like the moon, and he would be friends with her and her friends.
"Honey, the people are arriving." She moved from the floor to the grass. "They're so happy, I'm sure they'll be willing to help Mary." She placed the Ganimedes Bar sign in front of her feet. "Calm down, Heleno is riding a motorcycle?"
He leaned his body against Marengo's back. "Yes, what a cute little walk between stepfather and stepdaughter! I'll even take a picture. Amélia will be thrilled." He took a picture. "Eugenio will love meeting everyone." He pulled Marengo back, placing him in his arms, and stepped off the grass onto the floor. "Today they'll pay for everything they spent! Especially Hana! I'll have her waitressing in just an apron!"
As in a horse race, victory was in no one's hands.
Hana was ahead, but she lost a bit of her position thanks to the fireballs thrown. She dodged them by jumping while Calisto counterattacked, but Dionysus's flapping wings were a powerful shield.
Heleno followed a little further behind the two best placed. Margarida used roots to create alternative paths and ramps. The two above the modified motorcycle prioritized protection; helmets and thick clothing covered their bodies. They kept their presence hidden.
Felipe didn't even try to join the race, even though he was likely to fly. He was still recovering from the blows, which hadn't hurt him; they had been delivered to the right nerves, making regeneration unable to alleviate the pain. He used his eyes to check the bar's activity; apparently, the opening had been postponed until the evening. Inside, there was only a not-so-old lady with long black hair and a child holding a lemon.
"Now we win, little brother." Cassandra straightened. "You already know what you have to do."
— Alright Nee-san!— Dionysus flapped his wings harder.
The position changed significantly, Heleno passed in front on his motorcycle thanks to the path traced by Margarida. Hana lost speed because she had exhausted her body several times before the race, but what kept her going was the breeze generated by Calisto. The sound of Dionysus's wings ceased.
Cassandra was held by Dionysus's arms as flames consumed her. Her suit was destroyed, leaving her in only a top and underwear. She opened her eyes, her eyelashes falling apart, and her body turned to smoke. Dionysus inhaled that air into his lungs with the help of his wings, which flapped skyward, releasing Cassandra in a gaseous form toward the bar.
— I won! — He leaned between the floor and the grass with his wet body. — Hey Mary, how are you? — He sighed. — From this angle, you look scary.
— He pulled both of Cassandra's hands, making her stand up. — I'm sorry to tell you that's not the angle. — He grabbed a towel and dried the young woman. — Everyone go shower, get ready, because the inauguration will start in an hour!
Everyone arrived in front of the sign announcing the inauguration. Hana stood on the grass, Calisto stepped onto the pavement. Heleno and Margarida got off the motorcycle, making it disappear. Felipe sat on the curb. Dionísio took a deep breath as his feathers fell out and his wings closed.
— What do you mean, Aunt Mary? — Asked Eunuch, trying not to show that he had made Margarida drink a lot.
— Everyone here will help with the inauguration, except you, Daisy. Actually, you're going to do something. You're going to take care of Eugênio with my mother! Come in quickly, it's time to pay the bills!
