Let's reach 200 Power Stones for an extra chapter

As the green giant bounded away, I knew we had to find Gekomon. It was bad enough that we had to fight the Hulk. But, if it wasn't for that dumb frog and his stupid ability to annoy him. We wouldn't have to fight him. DarkTyrannomon and Minotarumon faded into data, their time borrowed from the Digi-Memories up. Now, it was payback time.
"Alright, everyone," I said, forcing myself to stand up straight, "let us get Gekomon, so he can get what he deserves."
Gatomon and BlackGatomon nod, their eyes narrowed. Agumon and Gabumon, still panting from the fight, looked determined. Even Cutemon seemed angry, and that's saying something.
"Let us get him," Gabumon said, his voice tight.
"I can still taste the sewer in my mouth," Gatomon spat, shaking her head.
I activated the Digivice, and the tracker zeroed in on Gekomon's location. He wasn't far, just a few blocks away, trying to make a quick escape. Probably scared out of his little froggy mind. Good. He should be.
We took off, following the signal, leaving the chaos of the plaza behind. I felt every ache and pain in my body with each step, but I pushed through it. This stupid frog was going to pay for all the trouble he caused.
The Digivice led us to a narrow alley, the stench of garbage heavy in the air. I wrinkled my nose. Seriously? This is where he is hiding? Classy.
We stopped in front of a large, overflowing garbage can, the signal blaring louder than ever. Yep, he was definitely in there. Hiding like the coward he is.
I exchanged a look with Gatomon and BlackGatomon. They smirked, a mix of excitement and anger in their eyes. Even Cutemon looked like he was ready to throw hands.
"Alright," I said, steeling myself, "let's get this over with."
With a grunt, I grabbed the lid of the garbage can and yanked it open. The smell that wafted out was even worse up close, a mix of rotting food and stale sewage. I gagged, but I forced myself to look inside.
There he was. Gekomon, huddled at the bottom of the can, looking up at us with wide, terrified eyes. He was trembling, covered in filth, and looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. Too bad for him.
"Oh, Gekomon," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm, "what are you doing in there? Did you lose something?"
He didn't answer, just stared at us, his eyes darting back and forth. He knew he was in trouble. He knew he messed up big time.
"If you didn't have to use your abilities on the Hulk. We wouldn't have to fight him." Agumon said.
"Get out here, Gekomon," Gatomon said, her voice hard. "Now."
Gekomon hesitated, then slowly, reluctantly, started to climb out of the can. He scrambled over the piles of trash, his body shaking with every move.
As soon as he was out, Gatomon lunged, delivering a swift kick to his backside that sent him sprawling.
"That is for getting me covered in sewage!" she snarled.
BlackGatomon was next, slashing at him with her claws. "And that is for making us fight that green monster!"
Agumon and Gabumon joined in, delivering a series of blows to his head and body, not too hard, just enough to hurt.
I watched them vent their frustration, a small part of me feeling satisfied. He had it coming. He had caused so much trouble, and now he was paying the price.
"Okay, okay, that is enough," I said, after a few minutes. "He got the point."
The Digimon stopped, panting, and looked at Gekomon, who was lying on the ground, bruised and battered. He whimpered, trying to crawl away, but I grabbed his tail, stopping him.
"Well, Gekomon," I said, looking down at him, "this is goodbye."
I pointed the Digivice at him, and a beam of light enveloped his body. He started to dissolve into data, his form flickering.
"No, wait!" he cried, his voice desperate. "I am sorry! Please, do not send me back!"
I ignored his pleas. He had made his choice, and now he had to face the consequences.
With a final flash, he was gone, sent back to the Digital World to face whatever punishment awaited him. I didn't care what happened to him. He was out of my life, and that was all that mattered.
[Level Up!]
[Level 9 -> 10]
I let out a whoop as the level-up notification appeared. Finally! Level 10. I grin. That meant I could use the Human Spirit of Thunder and become Beetlemon. I'd been itching to try it out, and I can test it on the last Rogue Digimon?
I turned to my Digimon, a small smile on my face. "Alright, let us get out of here."
We walked away from the alley, leaving the stench of garbage and sewage behind. I took a deep breath of fresh air, trying to clear my head. We were still alive, still in one piece, and that was all that mattered. For now.
First thing's first, I made sure the team was safe. I didn't want to draw any more attention, so I had Agumon, Gabumon, Gatomon, BlackGatomon, and Cutemon enter the Digivice. I wasn't taking any chances.
Hopping onto Behemoth, I kicked the engine into gear, the bike roaring to life. I weaved through the streets, heading back to the hotel. People were chatting, or more like freaking out. I could hear snippets of their conversation: "monster," "destruction," "Hulk." I couldn't blame them for being scared. I am just glad I got out of there before the cops or SHIELD arrived.
Finally, I got back to my room. I parked Behemoth haphazardly, not really caring. I was beat. My muscles screamed, and my head was pounding. After the Hulk, the explosions, and Gekomon, I just wanted to crash.
I didn't even bother changing. I just flopped onto the bed, and closed my eyes. Sleep came quickly, pulling me into a dark, dreamless void. Tomorrow, I decided, could wait. I needed the rest if I was going to tackle that last Rogue Digimon.
