Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Fox Unleashed

After emptying the magazine,

Anna rolled swiftly,

snatched up her dropped Kel-Tec KSG shotgun.

Click!

Round chambered!

Boom!

The last shell roared,

taking out the farthest enforcer.

Without pause, she yanked the empty mag,

hurled it into the face of the nearest enforcer,

then drew a spare from her waist.

While shoving it into the tube,

she charged the closest target.

Just as he was about to pull the trigger,

she slammed into him—both of them crashing down.

At that exact moment, the mag slid into place.

Click!

Round chambered!

Boom!

Point-blank, another kill.

Then—crack!—

the shotgun's stock smashed backward,

stunning the man beneath her.

But as she racked the next round,

a rifle barrel peeked out from the stairwell above.

Side-roll!

Ratatatat!

Bullets shredded her previous position,

turning the dazed enforcer into a bloody sieve.

Anna pressed herself against the wall,

hugging the blind spot below their line of fire.

She pushed forward,

charging toward the second floor.

Meanwhile, underground…

Fox had only rested a dozen seconds

before the remaining eight enforcers stormed in.

She sidestepped,

leveled her shotgun—

Boom!

Dropped the lead man,

then bolted across the lot.

Her former cover was instantly shredded

by a hail of bullets.

Fox kept weaving,

eyes sharp, calculating…

and soon locked onto Duggan's inconspicuous little car.

Her instincts told her instantly—

full armored build.

She veered, sprinting straight for the driver's seat.

Fortunately, earlier Duggan had smashed the door

into an enforcer, leaving it unable to close.

That opening saved her.

She dove inside just as the seven closed in.

Ratatatat!

Rounds peppered the bulletproof glass,

cracking it with spiderweb rings.

Fox didn't flinch.

Click!

She chambered a round,

ripped out the ignition wires,

and sparked the engine alive.

Pedal down.

The car roared forward,

then whipped into a sharp drift,

swerving back toward the seven.

They weren't fools.

After a couple shots, they leapt aside.

But Fox's driving was better.

As the car spun,

she swung open the passenger door,

snatched one unfortunate into the seat mid-drift.

The man stared, dumbfounded.

Fox smirked faintly.

Her hand dropped to the shotgun across her lap—

Boom!

The enforcer was blasted right back out the door.

Brake stomped.

She halted,

chambered a shell—

Boom!

Another kill.

Then reverse—

the engine howled as she pulled back ten meters.

The five survivors sprayed the windshield,

but the armored glass held.

Fox steadied her breath,

reloaded calmly inside.

The five dared not rush,

fearing another sudden charge.

But the glass couldn't hold forever.

Seconds later,

Fox slammed the pedal again.

The car lunged forward,

forcing the five to scatter.

She braked,

let the car spin out in a wide arc.

As it skidded,

she stepped out with practiced grace,

shotgun in hand.

Boom!

One down.

Reload.

Boom!

Another.

Behind her, the runaway car

smashed into two parked vehicles,

crushing another unlucky enforcer flat.

The last two raised weapons.

Fox drew her sidearm—

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Quick, clean shots left them reeling.

Calmly,

she discarded the empty shotgun,

grabbed a fallen assault rifle,

and swept the line.

Ratatatat!

Two more corpses hit the concrete.

Underground garage—

Fox, alone,

had annihilated six squads.

Thirty-six men.

All dead.

Outside the hotel…

More bounty hunters arrived.

Some saw their chance and came close.

Others, hearing the blasts from inside,

wisely turned back.

Roughly thirty lingered,

gripping weapons, exchanging grim looks.

Then they moved toward the doors.

Top floor.

Through the cameras,

Alex Cross had just watched Fox

recreate her brutal, drifting "pickup" kill.

Before he could even sigh in admiration,

Ramsey's voice cut in:

"Mr. Cross, bounty hunters at the front door.

They're moving in."

The screen shifted—

showing the shattered entrance,

and the hunters closing in.

Alex Cross exhaled lightly.

His response was calm, sharp:

"Notify the team on the sixth floor.

Serve our guests something heavier this time."
