Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Mira One-Shots

The grin vanished from Mira's face, her eyes sharpening as an invisible force burst outward. A crushing wave of willpower flooded the hall, crashing down on everyone present like a tidal wave.

"Conqueror's Haki?!"

Gasps filled the room. The soldiers collapsed instantly, foaming at the mouth. Even the Donquixote executives staggered under the pressure.

"Tch… this presence… it's on par with Doffy's!" Trebol croaked, his slimy body trembling.

Diamante's lips curled downward. "No… it might even be stronger…"

The thought was blasphemy, yet the truth weighed heavy in their chests. For a split second, they forced themselves to deny it.

"No… impossible! Doffy is the strongest! He's the king who will rule in the end!"

They clung to the belief desperately, shoving aside the doubt Mira had sparked.

Doflamingo's shades glinted as his grin widened. "Fuffuffuffuffu… Conqueror's Haki, huh? So that's your trump card, Buggy?"

Though surprised, his tone was dismissive. After all, not every wielder of Haoshoku Haki became a true king.

When the dust cleared, only five figures still stood against Mira's storm: Doflamingo himself, Trebol, Diamante, Pica, and Vergo.

Buggy, trying to keep his knees from buckling, stepped forward arrogantly and jabbed a finger toward Doflamingo. "Listen well, brat! The seas are deeper than you can imagine. You're too green to be challenging me!"

On the inside, Buggy's stomach was flipping with fear but on the outside, he carried himself like a seasoned veteran, even speaking to Doflamingo like a superior.

"Hoohohohohoho!"

Doflamingo's laugh shook the walls. His aura flared with murderous intent, the floor tiles cracking beneath his feet.

"Buggy… don't think for a second I'll let you mock me."

His right hand twitched. Nearly invisible threads gleamed under the light.

"Die."

With a flick of his fingers, razor-sharp strings sliced through the air, aimed straight for Buggy's neck.

Shk—!

In an instant, Buggy's head was severed clean off.

"Uh?!"

Doflamingo froze as Buggy's head rolled—only for the clown's body to remain standing.

His severed head twisted back toward him, glaring with dangerous eyes.

"How dare you attack me first, brat?" Buggy's lips curled into a cruel grin. "You're the one who is eager to die!"

For a heartbeat, the Donquixote Family was shaken until Mira's voice cut through the hall.

"…Do you think I don't exist?"

Her anger flared, and her aura exploded like a storm.

"Demonic Flare!"

A vortex of magic erupted from her, sweeping across the room like a hurricane.

Doflamingo and his executives were blasted apart, forced back in shock.

"W-what the hell is this?!" Diamante's voice cracked.

"Impossible…!" Trebol wailed, his slime splattering across the floor.

"Eclipse Claw!"

Mira's voice rang like thunder. Her hands clawed forward, and from the swirling shadows burst razor-sharp talons of darkness, tearing through the hall toward Doflamingo and his top officers.

"Five-Color Strings!"

Doflamingo's fury erupted, threads slicing through the air to clash with the oncoming claws. His grin twisted, rage seething behind his shades.

"Deal with you first."

But Mira ignored him completely. In a blink, she vanished reappearing right before Diamante, Trebol, Pica, and Vergo.

"Shadow Burst!"

Her magic detonated point-blank. The blast consumed them, the four executives collapsing unconscious before they even had a chance to resist.

"You bastard!"

Doflamingo's roar rattled the walls. Watching his "family" crushed in an instant snapped something in him.

"Overheat Whip!"

His strongest technique lashed out, threads glowing red-hot as they tore across the hall, cutting toward Mira with enough force to shred steel.

But Mira stood her ground.

"Hmph… too weak."

The whip slammed into her, sparks exploding as her Haki and magic collided with the threads. The impact tore apart the marble floor but Mira didn't budge an inch.

With a look of sheer disappointment, she met Doflamingo's glare.

"Sure enough, I shouldn't have expected much from the so-called strong in the first half of the Grand Line."

Even as the dust settled, Mira's thoughts wandered. She still had energy to spare. I'll end this quickly… then return to the New World.

That's where the real battles await.

"How… how can this be?!"

Doflamingo's face twisted. His most powerful attack completely useless. His confidence shattered in an instant.

BOOM!

Mira flashed forward in the blink of an eye.

Before Doflamingo could react, her fist slammed into him, sending his tall frame flying like a ragdoll.

He crashed into the marble wall, crumpling to the floor.

"The gap… how could it be this wide…?"

That was his last thought before his consciousness slipped away.

"...Is this… over already?"

Kuro's voice cracked. He had followed Buggy into the marketplace, expecting to witness a clash of titans between Buggy's Chamber of Commerce and the infamous Donquixote Family.

Instead, the supposedly stronger organization had been annihilated in less than a minute. His mind struggled to process it.

Buggy had spoken before of the "world's top powers" but this was beyond anything Kuro could have imagined. Outrageous didn't even begin to describe it.

Kuro could only mutter to himself, "…I might be considered a master but compared to this, I'm nowhere near the level of the world's strongest."

Buggy smirked knowingly. Patting Kuro on the shoulder, he spoke with the air of someone revealing a great truth.

"Exactly. What you just saw? That's what the true top of the world looks like."

Kuro fell silent, awe and fear mingling in his chest.

"It's done. Buggy, what now? Do we kill them?"

Rain's voice was calm, but his eyes were sharp as he looked at Buggy. If Buggy gave the order, he and Mira would end the Donquixote Family here and now. Even Doflamingo wasn't untouchable.

After all… in this world, no one was indispensable.

But Buggy shook his head. "No. Not yet. Doflamingo's a talent and the Donquixote Family's channels are valuable. If possible, I want to make them part of our strength."

Rain studied him for a moment, then smiled faintly. "Very well. Business is your domain. We're only here to provide military force."
