When Black Mask fell into the forest, he asked himself: Am I in a virtual world?! He began searching for Raven but couldn't find him, so he continued deeper into the underground forest. There, he found wild berries and decided to try them, to confirm whether this was truly a virtual world or not. When he ate them, he was shocked—they were real berries, not virtual ones. He began asking himself: Is this really an underground forest?! Or... has science advanced to the point where I can taste illusions?
Then Edward appeared and said: "Black Mask, you look shocked." Black Mask turned around, pointed his gun at him, and told him to stop. Edward replied: "I'll tell you a story, Black Mask. A long time ago, my family was by my side. My life was perfect, and one day my young son asked me to bring a dinosaur back to life. Even though I had never tested science on living creatures, I decided to do it. He chose a T-rex. I gave it everything I had, and after many failed experiments, I finally succeeded. The dinosaur lived with us, and we all loved it. But when my family left me, they left the dinosaur behind. So, I decided to place it in the virtual forest. And now… I want to say goodbye." Then Edward disappeared.
Black Mask was overwhelmed by the information and didn't know what to focus on. Suddenly, he heard the roar of a dinosaur. Determined to find a way out and defeat Edward, he ventured into the massive forest filled with dinosaurs. Eventually, he found a hut. Inside, he discovered files explaining how the dinosaur had been revived. He took them, but the hut collapsed, injuring his ankle. As he turned around, he saw the dinosaur about to devour him. Black Mask pulled the trigger, shooting into the dinosaur's mouth. The beast cried out in pain and staggered back. Black Mask began running.
After running a long distance, he reached a deep valley and was shocked by its depth. Again, he asked himself if this was truly a virtual world. Choosing to ignore the valley, he climbed a tree to treat his ankle. Removing his shoe, he saw his foot completely red from running. Though it was useless, he treated himself as best as he could. Then, he climbed down and continued walking through the dark forest, the towering trees blocking out the sunlight. After nearly nine hours of walking without rest, Black Mask noticed a rectangular glitch in the forest. Approaching, he realized it was a door. But where did it lead?
He opened it and found one of Edward's laboratory rooms. It was the gateway to the virtual world. Black Mask escaped and collapsed from exhaustion. Twelve hours later, he woke up in the same spot, barely moved. He assumed Edward believed he had died at the destroyed hut. Deciding to press forward, Black Mask opened another door in the lab and heard crying. Inside one of the rooms, he found a girl asking him to save her. He told her to follow him.
Suddenly, an alarm blared: "The lab will self-destruct in 10 minutes." Despite his injured ankle, Black Mask ran, faster than the girl. They barely escaped before a massive explosion destroyed the lab. Raven appeared, laughing: "So you survived! I thought you died in the hut collapse."
Black Mask replied coldly: "Your laughter won't last long." He pulled his gun and shot Raven straight in the eye. Raven screamed in pain. Black Mask then threw a grenade at him. The explosion silenced Raven.
Reaching a car, Black Mask and the girl got inside. She asked: "Who are you?" He answered: "You're asking me my name without telling me yours first?" She said: "My name is Lara. That man you threw the grenade at… he captured me yesterday."
He responded: "My name is Black Mask. Now we're heading to the airport. From there, you'll be on your own." Lara asked if she could come with him or work alongside him, but he refused: "No. I don't want you working with me. Live your life."
At the airport, he dropped her off and went to the restroom. He removed his mask, put on a disguise, and boarded a flight back to the city. When he arrived, he remembered the files about the dinosaur. He decided to give them to Kevin to investigate.
