Chapter 79 - Chapter 78 – Shadows of Another World

The tension in the Danger Room hadn't fully eased when Silvanna spoke again, her voice even, steady—like she'd practiced this speech before.

"I know this isn't my world," she said, turning her gaze toward the assembled X-Men, "but I've worked alongside you before. Different versions of you."

The room went still.

Logan's claws stayed extended, but his brow furrowed. "You talkin' riddles, lady?"

Silvanna took a slow breath. "Where I come from, I stood shoulder to shoulder with the X-Men. With Professor Xavier, Storm, Logan… all of you. And with someone else."

Her tone hardened, almost bracing herself for their reaction. "Juggernaut. But not just him—his daughter, Vanessa."

The words landed like a strike.

Colossus' eyes widened. "Juggernaut has… a daughter?"

Storm's lips parted, disbelief written across her face. "Impossible. Cain Marko is chaos incarnate. The idea of him raising a child—"

"He didn't raise her," Silvanna cut in, her voice sharp. "Her mother raised her. Alone. Vanessa found him later. And yes… she carries his blood. But she's not him. She's more."

Aurora looked between them, her own pulse racing. "Wait—you're saying there are other versions of the X-Men? Different worlds? And Juggernaut has a kid there?"

Silvanna nodded once, firmly. "Yes. And she fought against the same threat that pulled me here. The Black Serpents. Without her, we wouldn't have survived."

Logan finally sheathed his claws with a click, but his scowl deepened. "If you're tellin' the truth, then there's a Cain Marko walkin' around somewhere with a kid strong enough to back you up. That's… not exactly comfortin'."

Miles raised a cautious hand, trying to break the tension. "Uh… for the record, where I'm from, I've already seen like fifty Spider-People. So… alternate versions of people? Totally possible."

Xavier, who had been silent, finally spoke, his voice calm but cutting through the unease. "The multiverse is more fragile than most realize. If what you say is true, Silvanna, then Juggernaut's child may exist here as well—or not at all. Either way…" His eyes swept over the X-Men, then settled on Aurora. "…this complicates things."

Silvanna met Xavier's gaze without flinching. "I didn't come here to complicate anything. I came because Aurora matters. To me. And to the fight ahead."

Aurora felt the weight of everyone's eyes on her—the suspicion, the shock, the uncertainty. But Silvanna's hand on her shoulder anchored her, steady as stone.

For the first time since the portal tore her from her world, Aurora didn't feel completely alone.
