Chapter 96 - Chapter 95 – Homeward Threads

The hum of Hiro's lab filled the silence. Everyone stood gathered around the center platform where Baymax had cleared space, their eyes drawn to the sudden shimmer of energy crackling in the air.

Two portals blossomed open side by side, rings of light bending and warping reality. One glowed a familiar Stark-tech orange-red, while the other shimmered in a neon blue hue.

"Guess that's my cue," a voice said, cutting through from the comm still clipped to Silvanna's wrist. Tony Stark.

Spider-Man straightened instantly. His voice cracked with emotion. "Tony?"

"Easy, kid. Not your Tony," Silvanna reminded gently. She raised the comm closer so everyone could hear.

"Right," Tony said, his tone brisk but warm. "Aurora, Vanessa, Juggernaut, Silvanna—you've got your ticket home. Took me a while to stabilize the portal, but it's ready. That one's for you." He paused, then added, "And Miles… I managed to tune into your signature too. That second portal will drop you back where you belong."

Miles's eyes widened. He looked between Aurora and Spider-Man, torn between relief and hesitation. "So… this is goodbye?"

Aurora gave him a small smile, sadness in her eyes. "For now. Different webs, different worlds. But trust me—we'll cross paths again."

Vanessa stepped forward, resting a hand on his shoulder. "You've already proven yourself, Miles. Go protect your world. It needs you."

Miles swallowed hard, then nodded. He turned to Spider-Man, whose hoodie-clad figure leaned heavily against the table. They clasped hands briefly, a silent promise passing between them.

"Guess I'll see you around, big bro," Miles said with a grin before stepping toward the blue portal. The energy wrapped around him, and in a blink, he was gone.

Now all eyes turned to the glowing Stark-tech gate. Juggernaut snorted, tightening his fists. "'Bout time. Been cramped in these kiddie labs long enough."

"Dad…" Vanessa said softly, her golden hair catching the portal's glow. "Don't forget why we're going back. The Black Serpents are gone, but the world still needs us."

Juggernaut gave a grunt of reluctant agreement.

Silvanna turned to Aurora, her crimson gaze softening. "Ready?"

Aurora hesitated only a moment before nodding. "Yeah. Let's go home."

They stepped forward together—four figures forged by chaos, bonded by survival. Aurora's resolve, Vanessa's golden flame, Juggernaut's unstoppable power, Silvanna's scarlet strength. As the portal flared, they were swallowed in light, carried across the divide.

When the lab fell quiet again, only Spider-Man, Hiro, and Baymax remained.

Spider-Man stood still, staring at the place where the portals had vanished. For the first time since he'd been taken, the weight in his chest felt lighter. They were gone—but the web of their paths, their struggles, their choices, was now woven into his own.

"Friends?" Baymax asked simply, tilting his head.

Spider-Man smiled beneath the mask. "Yeah, big guy. Friends."

And with that, he turned back to Hiro. There was still a city to protect.
