Chapter 185 - Chapter 186 The Steel is Yours, the Flame is Mine

Inside the warehouse, "Steel" Maveti heard the crisp gunshot and immediately frowned.

This collaboration with Mithor was his own idea, and he hadn't brought any subordinates. His several living puppets had also been consumed by the flames from that guy during the earlier fight to capture Danitz.

Damn it! Where is that guy Mithor? That idiot—could he already be dead?!

Just then, Maveti's ears twitched slightly. He heard the sound of rolling rubble from the south side of the wall.

Not using the main entrance, trying to break through from the side... Maveti immediately made a judgment.

As he heard the sound gradually approaching, a cruel sneer appeared on his dark face.

He no longer hesitated. His entire body, like a cannonball, shot directly towards that side wall! He intended to use his best close-quarters combat abilities, and his special body, which was like "Steel" and impervious to blows, to tear the guy who dared to ambush him directly into pieces!

Beneath his feet, a cold chill began to condense. His fists were also covered with an ominous white frost, carrying a rotten stench!

"Boom—!"

With one punch, he brutally smashed a large hole in the seemingly sturdy side wall of the warehouse!

However, to his surprise, the outside of the wall was empty; there was no one there at all!

In the instant he was stunned, countless fine cracks, like a spiderweb, instantly spread across the entire wall, centered around the hole his fist had made!

The wall, already old and in disrepair, collapsed with a crash after losing its last support!

An old, dilapidated wall makes for the best Calamity.

"Rumble—!"

Countless bricks and debris, like a landslide, instantly buried Maveti entirely.

Before he could struggle out of the rubble, Luo En's figure had already appeared not far away. He didn't hesitate at all, directly throwing a "Burst" charm he had already prepared into the pile of bricks!

"Boom!"

A violent explosion suddenly erupted within the pile of bricks and stones.

"Is he dead?" Luo En activated his Spirit Vision.

However, to his disappointment, after only a moment, a tall figure slowly rose from the dust and rubble.

Maveti's clothes were tattered and torn, a trace of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, and several wounds on his body were oozing a strange-colored liquid.

Although he was injured, it wasn't fatal.

He raised his head, his eyes filled with extreme ferocity and anger, locking onto Luo En.

"Hey—" Luo En looked at him, seemingly frightened, and raised his hands, saying, "I—I'm just passing by. Can we—can we reconcile?"

"Die!"

Maveti sneered, completely ignoring his "plea for mercy." The moisture on the ground instantly condensed into white frost, and cold, transparent ice quickly spread outwards from him!

Immediately after, accompanied by a bone-chilling hurricane, countless blades mixed with frost swept towards Luo En!

Relying on the powerful computing ability of the Robot, Luo En barely dodged the fatal blow. But his body was still accidentally grazed a little, and that part immediately froze stiff.

His flexibility was instantly affected!

Maveti also keenly realized this. He let out a roar, his entire body, sweeping with frost, charged fiercely towards Luo En!

"Pfft!"

Relying on the forced calmness brought by "Silence," Luo En didn't panic in the slightest. He seized the timing of Maveti's charge.

Mental Storm!

"Om—"

An invisible mental shock violently slammed into Maveti's mind!

Maveti's movements were somewhat affected, his body stiffened abruptly, and his charging trajectory deviated slightly. The claws, capable of tearing "Steel," only ripped Luo En's clothes on his chest but didn't wound any vital points.

Seizing this opportunity, Luo En immediately threw the golden charm he had already held in his hand!

"Blazing Sun!"

The next second, a golden light descended from the sky, instantly enveloping the entire abandoned warehouse!

As the golden light dissipated, only a charred patch of ground remained within the warehouse ruins, along with the corpse of "Steel" Maveti, lying on the ground, completely devoid of life.

Luo En didn't relax at all. He immediately rushed to Danitz, quickly cutting the tightly bound ropes on him with a dagger.

Before he could make his next move, a strong, deadly premonition of danger suddenly stung his nerves!

"Bang!"

Almost at the same instant he dodged, a bullet accurately hit the spot where he had just been standing, leaving a smoking bullet hole in the ground.

Luo En raised his head, looking in the direction the bullet had come from.

He saw a blood-stained, disheveled figure standing at the warehouse entrance.

It was that Eloquent Speaker, Mithor!

He's still alive, Luo En was startled.

If only I had known, I should have fired another shot earlier.

A warm liquid dripped from Luo En's chest. He looked down and saw that the wound on his chest, which had been grazed by Maveti's claws, was oozing blood.

Mithor, seeing his sneak attack fail, didn't act rashly.

The two stood facing each other across the mess.

"Who exactly are you?!" Mithor held his gun, his voice hoarse with anger and pain.

"Just a passing Hunter," Luo En replied calmly in his disguised voice. Clearly, his new face was very successful.

Luo En continued:

"I have a suggestion."

"A suggestion?"

"That's right." Luo En nodded, "I'm just a Hunter, I only care about money and don't want to get into extra trouble."

He pointed to the wound on his chest, then to Mithor's still bleeding face.

"Neither of us is in good shape right now. If we keep fighting, it'll only be a lose-lose situation, which benefits no one."

"It wouldn't be good if the Punishers arrived."

"And," he glanced at Maveti's corpse on the ground, "you and 'Steel' were probably only temporary collaborators, right?

"Do you want to avenge him?"

"Why not listen to my suggestion?" Luo En said.

Mithor didn't speak, signaling Luo En to continue.

"'Steel' Maveti is yours, 'Flame' Danitz is mine. One each, it's fair."

To show sincerity, Luo En threw down his pistol, hitting Danitz's body.

"Fair—" Mithor cursed inwardly.

Although he now wished he could tear this guy, who had appeared out of nowhere, into a thousand pieces, he had to admit that the other party was right. A head-on clash would only make the situation worse.

"'Flame' is mine, 'Steel' is yours." Mithor gritted his teeth, offering a rebuttal.

"No way." Luo En refused without thinking, "The combined bounties for 'Flame' are much higher than for 'Steel' right now."

Hearing this, Mithor laughed:

"Haha, you mean that bounty? Believe me, if you don't agree to my terms, even if you take 'Flame' away, you won't get the bounty."

Then he coaxed:

"'Steel's bounty is 6000 pounds, plus his characteristics, he'll only be worth more than Danitz. You won't lose out."

Luo En was silent for a moment, seemingly thinking.

"Alright."

Then, he slowly moved his steps towards Maveti, while Mithor, following his pace, moved towards Danitz.

Both stared intently at each other, fearing any sudden move from the other.

After a few minutes of walking like this, Luo En arrived at Maveti's corpse, and Mithor arrived in front of Danitz.

Just as Mithor had all his attention locked on the mysterious Hunter opposite him, wary of any possible abnormal movement from him, "Bang!"

A black flame from behind accurately struck his head.

Such close range, and an unguarded sneak attack from behind!

Mithor couldn't even let out a scream. His head, still contemplating how to double-cross, was struck as if by a heavy hammer. His body fell straight forward into a pool of blood, completely losing its life.

"You played dead quite well." Luo En looked at the scene before him, complimenting Danitz, who was struggling to get up from the ground. "Cough cough." Danitz clutched his still throbbing abdomen, gasping for breath.

He raised his head to look at Luo En, a hint of a proud smile gracing his dust and blood-stained face.

"Of course."

Neither of them wasted any more time. They both knew that the gunshots and explosions would soon attract the attention of the Punishers.

Luo En touched the wound on his body, a sharp pain coming through.

Injured—can a Lucky One also get injured—

He walked to the corpse of "Steel" Maveti, and a strange sense of pleasure surged in his heart, easing his furrowed brow.

"The feeling of killing isn't so bad after all—"

"It's quite stress-relieving."

He looked at Maveti's charred corpse, emanating a strange, rotten aura, and murmured to himself:

"Rose School of Thought—no mistake."

"My entanglement with you guys is really—getting deeper and deeper."

Recalling the events of the day, Luo En sighed.

I'm afraid there's no time to wait for the captain... I need to leave quickly.

In the shadows on the rooftop of a building not far from the warehouse.

Katarina, who had taken in everything, pouted a little, bored.

"Oh my~ This little guy is quite capable, isn't he?"

"Originally—I wanted to wait until both of them were almost done for, then 'descend from the heavens' and give him a hand."

"That would have been a perfect opportunity to gain some favor."

"What a pity—"
