Chapter 111 - Chapter 111: Where’s the Knife in This?

Why, exactly…?

After pondering for a long moment, a spark of realization hit Ah Xian, and she slapped her thigh hard!

"Right, it's the Emanator!"

[Scared the hell out of me!]

[Why are you shouting so loud?]

[What's this about an Emissary?]

"Remember the conversation Dan Heng had with Himeko and Old Yang on the Express before coming to Jarilo-VI?"

The live stream audience froze.

Soon, someone recalled what Ah Xian was referring to.

"Himeko mentioned that they detected Emissary-level Imaginary fluctuations out of nowhere, but couldn't trace the source."

"From the game characters' perspective, Stelle and even March knew nothing about it."

"Dan Heng knew but didn't tell us."

"Do you all think it's possible that Leon found that Emissary and went to confront them alone?"

With Ah Xian's suggestion, players began to entertain the possibility.

The more they thought about it, the more plausible it seemed.

But this also raised a new question—

If an unknown Emissary existed and was hostile to Jarilo-VI or the Express crew,

Leon daring to intercept them would mean he possesses Emissary-level strength, right?

It was incredibly intriguing.

Ah Xian immediately teleported back to the Express, hoping to trigger any hidden dialogue from Dan Heng bringing Leon back.

Unfortunately, there was none.

"The closed beta plot didn't go like this. If there's no Emissary, there's no need for this segment…"

"I'm certain there's more to come!"

With that thought, Ah Xian teleported to the lower district.

Her intuition told her that completing this part of the main storyline would reveal something.

After meeting with the Wildfire members, bidding farewell to Natasha, and checking in with Hook,

the last stop was Clara.

March 7th: "That's the gist of it. We finally dealt with the Stellaron."

"Bronya also made a promise—the lockdown between the upper and lower districts will be lifted soon."

"Clara, you'll be able to see the real blue sky with everyone else then."

"Though these past few days, the weather's been pretty overcast…"

Stelle: "The snow's already starting to let up. The sky will clear up eventually."

March 7th: "True. Anyway, Svarog doesn't have to… uh, at least for now, doesn't have to worry about protecting the lower district, right?"

Clara's little face lit up with excitement.

"Honestly, Clara didn't dare hope for too much at first. I could only silently pray for everyone's success…"

"But now—"

"Thank you so much, Sister March, Sister Stelle, Brother Leon, and everyone."

March 7th gently patted Clara's head.

"Clara's right. It took everyone working together to get through this~~"

"Thanks to you taking that brave step and changing Svarog's stubbornness, the people of this world could find hope."

Svarog glanced at Stelle and March, then at Clara.

The mechanical eyes on his face, glowing red, flickered slightly.

"Calculation results… updated."

"Task ID 0001: Protect the lower district—completed, task closed."

"Visitors… no, guests from beyond the stars, thank you for everything you've done for this world."

March 7th flashed a radiant smile.

"We got to know each other through a bit of conflict, didn't we? Come on, Clara, stand with Mr. Svarog. I want to take a picture to remember this~~"

Clara's face flushed slightly. "O-Okay…"

After taking the photo, the two bid farewell to Clara and Svarog and returned to the surface.

March 7th stretched lazily, then poked Stelle's arm.

"Oi, Stelle."

① "I thought you missed the days of elbowing me freely and wanted to pull that stunt again."

② "Oi, what? Realized how stellar I was on this Trailblaze journey and want to praise me?"

March 7th rolled her eyes. "Tch, stellar? You're still far from that. Keep working on it."

Stelle raised an eyebrow. "I was so heroic and badass fighting Cocolia. You said so yourself. Still far from stellar?"

"I said that flaming lance was badass, not you."

"Oh, my old pal, your words wound me. I'm gonna cry."

"You'd better cry, or I'll elbow you until you do, hmph~~"

[Stelle and March are both so adorable.]

[Our Trailblazer's back to her cheeky self, huh? So, where's Father?]

[With Father offline for now, I miss him.]

As if hearing the players' thoughts, the interaction between Stelle and March 7th ended, and the screen began loading a transition.

[At this moment, inside the Express's observation car.]

Seeing two men standing by the window, Ah Xian's eyes widened like saucers, and she finally felt at ease.

"Hahahaha, haters, speak up! Who was just shouting that Leon's definitely getting knifed?"

"Look, where's the knife? He's perfectly fine, isn't he?"

"Hey, you, ObsessedWithOldLoveNight, come out, don't play dead!"

[ObsessedWithOldLoveNight: Don't get cocky. When someone's walking too proudly, they're most likely to trip and eat dirt.]

[Ah Xian, don't get ahead of yourself. You're progressing slowly, but some of us know what's coming.]

[Popcorn and seats ready, waiting for Ah Xian to sob.]

The chat's tone shifted abruptly, and Ah Xian muttered to herself.

These trolls think they can scare her?

No way.

Leon gazed at the white planet outside the window, a faint smile on his face.

Dan Heng: "It was an unknown Emissary, wasn't it?"

At that, Leon fell silent for a moment, his smile turning to helplessness.

"I can't hide anything from you, can I…"

"Not unknown—it's almost certainly an Emissary of Destruction. The chances of them faking it are slim."

"Do you know which Emissary of Destruction?"

"They called themselves Ervitos. I've never heard of them."

Dan Heng pondered, then shook his head slowly.

He hadn't heard of them either.

Seeing the worry in Dan Heng's eyes, Leon reassured him.

"Don't worry. That guy couldn't figure out my strength and, out of caution or some other reason, fled."

"I'm worried about your condition," Dan Heng said bluntly.

Leon's expression remained calm, and he casually said, "I'm in decent shape, nothing serious."

"That might fool Stelle and March, but when you collapsed on Jarilo-VI, your pulse was like that of a dying man."

"…"

"…In the past, I came across some unverified historical texts that mentioned a certain race."

"Not the Sky Haven Clan, I presume."

"It is."

Leon's gaze paused, but he didn't respond.

Dan Heng continued, "I didn't want to ask before, but if you're truly from the mysterious Sky Haven Clan as recorded, then the wings that appeared on Stelle—"

At this point, Leon knew the historical records Dan Heng had read were true.

"—Yes, the wings are like a second heart for the Sky Haven Clan."

"Using a special technique to transfer the wings to another's body can, in a life-or-death moment, shield them from disaster."

Dan Heng fell silent. "The cost is… all the pain falls on you, doesn't it?"

Leon didn't answer, only giving a carefree smile.

Anyone could see that his silence was as good as confirmation.

This bombshell revelation instantly turned Ah Xian's brain—and those of players who'd grown fond of Leon—into a scrambled mess.

Before they could say anything, Dan Heng kept going.

"So it's all true history… In that case, the Healing Wind technique you've used on everyone before—"
