Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Wanting to Board

For that day, many people in both the Overworld and Underworld were busy around the clock.

Only a few stayed out of it, not needing to worry as much.

Serval was one of them.

While handling post-battle affairs in the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone, she'd mentioned treating everyone to a meal once things settled.

Arriving at the quest location, the Goethe Hotel, they found Serval already seated and waiting.

"Here you are! Sit anywhere. I just ordered some pre-meal drinks. Order whatever you want—don't hold back."

Serval flashed an enthusiastic smile, pushing the menu to the center of the table.

The Trailblaze team's eyes landed on the person beside Serval.

A petite girl sat there, looking about the age of coming-of-age based on her appearance.

"Let me introduce my little sister, Lynx Landau."

"Lynxy, these are Belobog's great benefactors, and the Landau family's too."

"These two are Mr. Leon and Mr. Dan Heng, and these two are Miss Stelle and Miss March."

Lynx: "Hello, benefactors. Thank you for helping my sister and brother and saving this world."

What a cute kid.

What a polite kid.

March and Stelle's thoughts didn't quite align.

As for the two grown men, out of habit, they didn't feel anything special.

One gave a kind smile, the other remained calm and unruffled.

March 7th beamed brightly. "No need to be polite. Saving the world's just something we do on the side~"

"Huh, a new satellite character."

Ah Xian was quite surprised.

She knew the Landau family wasn't just Serval and her brother but also had a younger sister, though she wasn't seen in the beta.

She didn't expect to meet her in Serval's quest.

Pretty cute, though she didn't know her Path, nor did she care much.

The chat, however, was different.

A new character—how could they resist their specialties?

Fanfiction, prison guard tales, criminal law stories—they had it all.

[Dressed up tight like a snow explorer. The most Belobog-fitting episode ever.]

[Warm boots, warm pants—her little feet must smell nice, right?]

[Big sniff!]

[Calm down, bro, Zabudodler.]

Stelle: "Where's Gepard?"

Serval: "There's been too much going on lately. My little brother can't spare the time, so I brought my sister instead."

Stelle: "True, it's almost time for Bronya's inauguration."

After eating and drinking their fill, Lynx had classes to attend and politely excused herself.

Once her petite figure disappeared, Serval's eyes flickered, looking like she wanted to say something but hesitated.

Leon easily noticed. "If you have something to say, don't hold back."

Serval: "Sharp eyes. I do have something to discuss… ugh, how do I put this…"

Stelle spread her hands. "Guess there's no such thing as a free lunch."

March 7th lightly kicked Stelle's boot. "Hey, watch how you talk!"

Serval hurriedly waved her hands, explaining.

"Don't worry, it's not anything troublesome~"

"I heard you guys say you came to Belobog via that… uh, Astral Express, right?"

Stelle smirked. "Technically, we came by Train."

"Speaking of Trains, I have to mention my god-tier piloting skil—"

Before she could finish, she got pinched by March 7th's soul-chasing grip.

Her waist stung a little.

March 7th: "That was me talking. What's the issue?"

Serval hesitated a moment before getting to the point.

"I'll be blunt. I want to join you and become a Nameless."

Her words made Leon and Dan Heng, who were quietly sipping tea, turn their gazes toward her.

March 7th hadn't expected Serval's matter to be about wanting to board the train.

Stelle put on a serious face. "Boarding's fine, but you'll need to pass a test. Step up, defeat me, prove you've got—oof!"

Before she could finish, she was cut off again.

This time, March 7th covered her mouth.

"Trouble, trouble, trouble—all you do is cause trouble! Eat your sunset fish chunks, nobody thinks you're mute!"

Shoving food roughly into Stelle's mouth with an annoyed glare, March 7th then gave Serval an apologetic look.

"Ignore her. She's just like this. When she's idle, she says all sorts "' weird things, worse than… never mind."

At this point, March 7th felt a twinge of guilt.

She almost said worse than Leon in his usual jumpy state.

Now, with his Injuries not yet healed, he's sitting quietly beside them, barely speaking, the perfect image of a calm, handsome man.

Cough… it almost feels unlike his usual self…

Quiet as he is, his expression isn't stern.

After all, even Uncle Yang and Dan Heng know—

When Leon's expression turns serious, it's their turn to get serious, even cautious!

It really proves the saying:

Sometimes, you don't want to see Leon flash that prankster grin.

But when he stops smiling, everyone gets uneasy.

It means things have gotten serious, and they need to proceed with caution.

Noticing Leon give her a half-smiling glance, March 7th felt a flicker of guilt in her eyes.

Serval didn't mind, answering with a smile.

"A test means an entrance exam, right? I'm good at those. Sounds like your rules are similar to Belobog's schools."

At that, March 7th shot Stelle another glare, her meaning clear.

Look at what you said—she actually believed it.

Unfortunately, her attempt at a fierce warning still came off mostly cute.

"You don't need a test to board the Astral Express. Just talk to the seniors."

"See, the people here—Leon can decide."

Leon shook his head with a smile. "Wrong, March. I can't decide."

"Huh?"

"The train's doors are always open to those willing to join the journey. Whether Serval becomes a Nameless is up to her."

To become a Nameless, you don't need to walk the Path of Trailblaze from the start or even follow any Path at all.

As long as you have an explorer's heart, stepping onto the Path is only a matter of time on the train.

Meeting Leon's meaningful gaze, Serval paused, her eyes briefly darting away before lighting up with joy.

"That's great! I'll go pack my bags!!"

Leon: "No need to rush. We're not leaving tomorrow."

"Then… when are we leaving?"

"Barring any unexpected events, we'll depart the day after Bronya's inauguration."

There was a deeper reason.

The night the Stellaron was contained, Himeko and Welt found Leon and had a long talk.

The matter of Ervitos couldn't be taken lightly.

The train could leave anytime, but no one could guarantee that guy wouldn't make a comeback and wipe out Belobog the simplest way.

Welt suggested staying until Belobog's situation stabilized.

The reason was even simpler.

The train's next destination was the festive star Penacony, and there was still plenty of time before the Charmony Festival began.

Lingering in Belobog a bit longer wasn't an issue.
