Carlos's POV
Grace might have told me that Amara wasn't my concern and I shouldn't waste my time dealing with her, but that didn't change anything for me.
I understood this was Grace's issue to handle, yet that very problem left me on edge. I couldn't concentrate on work or formulate any decent strategies because my mind kept drifting to thoughts of Amara tormenting Grace, potentially making her weep again.
That's why I needed to take action against Amara. I just had to devise a clever method to eliminate her without resorting to outright murder and disposal—something that would keep Grace from discovering my involvement in Amara's downfall.
"Perhaps Amara has been the real issue from the start," I mused aloud. "Maybe I need to remove her first, so Grace will stop crying those damn tears that drive me completely insane."
"After I've dealt with Amara, I should be able to make Grace fall head over heels for me, ensuring she'll follow my every command."
