Grace's POV
"Those two—ugh!" Vita fumed at Mr. Benjamin and Amara, who had simply swept out together, abandoning me to sit alone, weeping like someone who'd been dumped by their soulmate.
Vita's fury was palpable as she clearly wanted to knock some sense into Mr. Benjamin's stubborn head for failing to defend—worse yet, deserting the mother of his child for her younger sister. She glanced at me, sitting pitifully in my chair, speechless as those two disappeared into the CEO's office to do heaven knows what.
She couldn't comprehend why I became so meek around my sister. Normally, I was quite headstrong and combative.
Yet when confronted by Amara, I simply hung my head and endured every insult she hurled my way, despite both Vita and I knowing her accusations were complete lies!
