Charles's POV
"Yo, are you sure you want to sell this Playstation 5? It looks brand new."
"Yeah, I grabbed it recently. Need cash fast, so I've got no choice," he answered.
He's currently face-to-face with some guy who might buy his barely-used Playstation 5. Selling it wasn't his first choice since he loved gaming on that thing, but he's stuck in a tight spot right now. Since he won't and can't get himself a job, hawking his stuff is the only way to scrape together some cash.
It's been weeks since he last heard anything from Amara.
Last time they talked, Amara told him she'd be going on some hot and heavy adventure with her new guy—someone who'd shower her with all the money she wanted.
He doesn't give a damn who she's screwing as long as she keeps sending him fat stacks in return for letting her mess around.
When you really think about it, it sounds more like she's turning tricks, but Amara was game for whatever.
