Chapter 23 - Time skip (2)

Trunks sat quietly on a grassy hill as the message appeared in front of his eyes, glowing faintly with an otherworldly blue light.

{Rewards Settled.}

{5 Fate Points Acquired.}{5 Extractions Available.}

He exhaled slowly, the breeze brushing against his lavender hair. The training with his father had been brutal, and his body still ached from the last session. But now, this felt like progress a step forward. He got to his feet and walked toward a secluded cliffside overlooking the sea, where the wind drowned out every other sound.

"This should be far enough," he muttered, glancing around before opening his hand. "Let's see what I've got this time."

I crouched, bowed dramatically, and muttered to every "major god" I could think of Zeus, Odin, Shiva, Pangu, Jade emperor, Ra, Allah, Yahweh, but you know, whatever. Luck works best when you beg. I even threw in the King of Yellow and Black. Don't asks me why, I just did.

Then I pressed the system's extraction command. Five golden orbs materialized in front of me, spinning slowly like tiny suns, before bursting into glowing fragments that zipped straight into my chest.

I staggered back, wide-eyed, as my body tingled violently.

{1x Saiyan Tail Regrowth}

"Not bad" I whispered, gingerly patting the smooth, brown tail now swaying behind me. Weird. Totally weird. But I couldn't help the grin.

{Skill: Calm Heart}"What the fuck is this? okay, okay, I'll take it, I guess."

{Method: Portals Training}"Cool. I like this one."

{Skill: Kaioken}"Oh hell yes. Now we're talking."

{Skill: Dragon Fist}"Praise the fool!."

"Who doesn't like being cool"

He still couldn't get used to having this tail. "So this is how, it feel to have a tail, it feels weird," he whispered. The appendage twitched in response, and immediately, an old memory surfaced of Goku and piccolo defeating Raditz by grabbing his tail.

"This is also a weakness,"

Trunks frowned, gripping his tail tightly until he felt it grow firmer. he muttered. "I'll train this weakness out."

Then his attention shifted to the new skills resonating inside him. Each one carried a weight of knowledge a feeling, like echoes of masters long gone whispering their secrets.

The {Calm Heart skill} was the first he examined. As he focused, his breathing steadied. His thoughts — the anxiety of the future, the fear of losing again all began to fade into a quiet rhythm. His heart felt lighter. Peaceful. all emotions fading away.

"This could help me focus. Maybe even control Ultra Instinct someday, he thought with a faint smile."

Next came the {Portals Training Method} The knowledge unfolded in his mind like a complex puzzle; coordinates, ki rhythms, stabilizing frequencies all of it flooding into his consciousness.

He closed his eyes and imagined the air bending. His ki pulsed outward in waves, syncing with the patterns the method described. A shimmer appeared before him a flicker of blue light twisting like a whirlpool and for a brief second, a portal began to form. Then, it collapsed with a soft pop.

He fell to one knee, panting, sweat dripping down his chin."It's harder than I thought," he said, but his lips curled into a grin. "But I'll get it."

The {Kaioken} came next a fiery energy bursting within his veins as if his blood itself turned to magma. The first time he activated it, his aura burned bright red, enveloping his entire body in a wave of heat.

"Haah!"The ground beneath him cracked, but the strain hit almost instantly his muscles screamed in protest.

He released it quickly, gasping for air. "I see why Goku said this technique's dangerous I'll have to master my control before using it in a fight."

The last was {Dragon Fist} the move Goku once used to end the finial battle in wrath of dragon, this move can be used to kill stronger opponents than himself.

When Trunks channeled it, a blazing dragon-shaped aura coiled around his arm, its roar echoing faintly through the air. He could feel the devastating potential behind it. A single blow, when perfectly executed, could annihilate nearly anything. But as the energy faded, Trunks stood silently, gazing at the horizon.

"Too much ki, has been consumed I have to reduce the cost."

Days turned into weeks. Then, into a month.

Trunks trained relentlessly. He meditated under waterfalls, learning to steady his {Calm Heart} skill, it was an active skill Afterall. he used it until his mind became still even amidst chaos. He practiced {Kaioken} until he could maintain it without collapsing, his aura burning steadily around him like crimson fire.

Each night, he tried to perfect the {Portals Training Method}, opening small shimmering gates that flickered in and out of existence. He learned how to anchor them between points, how to stabilize the energy through will and rhythm.

He didn't forget to train his body for god ki too.

And finally, one quiet evening, he stood before the Time Machine. Its familiar hum brought back countless memories, on how future trunks utilizes this machine until it was destroyed by Zamasu.

He ran a hand along its metal frame, smiling faintly. "It's time ," he said softly. "If I want to grow stronger if I want to protect everyone I'll have to keep pushing forward."

The sky glowed orange as the sun set behind him. His Saiyan tail swayed gently in the wind. Trunks took a deep breath, eyes burning with determination.

"Let's go get stronger."

The Time Machine's engines roared to life, light swirling around him and with a flash, he disappeared into the folds of time.
