Chapter 6: Chaos
"Only the night knows that chaos does not need a reason to exist. "
Fighting breaks out everywhere in the forest, an endless war. Everywhere, we see Spirits of the Blade of the Nothingness killing each other. They handle all kinds of weapons: swords, spears, bows, hammers, all as different and unique as each other, reflecting the murderous tension from which they were born. Each Spirit of the Blade of Nothingness has a peculiarity, but it is said that those who have a blade are the most powerful.
They fight not out of hatred or coldness. They fight because it's their instinct. After all, they were created by the intuition to kill from the first blade. They did not have time to develop a consciousness, because they disappear at dawn and new Spirits are born the following night. In this forest, from the first moment when the very first blade in the world was lifted with the desire to give death, this murderous tension has not disappeared: it has frozen in the fabric of reality, creating a fault.
From this flaw were born the first Spirits of the Nothingness, destined to repeat this desire forever.
Noises of combat are heard throughout the dead forest. A little further, a person runs, a katana in his hand. A Spirit of the Blade of Nothing appears in his field of vision. He gives a blow so fast that he cuts his opponent in half, leaving no chance to his enemy alone to draw his weapon. Others appear, one, then a second, then a third. The person dodges the first one, but a second one kicks him. While he wants to cut the foot, he sees that the third, with a Wakizashi, wants to cut it. The person has no choice but to defend himself with his katana. But the first and second Spirits of the Blade of Nothingness begin to fight each other. It shows how crazy these monsters are. Only a minute ago, they were side by side. Now they fight each other to death.
Then, some time later, the person in the katana is in bad condition, but the third Spirit of the Blade of Nothingness with his Wakizashi has already lost a forearm. The Wakizashi Spirit leams with all his might to kill his opponent in the katana. This one also leaps. When he touches the ground, the person with the katana has lost a few fingers. His opponent, the Wakizashi Spirit, has a severed neck. Blue blood flows everywhere. He was dead. After killing his opponent, the person with the katana feels his body getting stronger. After all, she is also a Spirit of the Blade of Nothing among others. It's just one battlefield among others in the dead forest. Tens of thousands of Spirits of the Blade of Nothingness are deating each other.
Meanwhile, Nameless runs, but the entire forest is in chaos. He doesn't know where to run. He tells himself that he cannot continue like this, otherwise he will die without a doubt. The moment he finishes thinking, he is attacked by a Spirit of the Blade of Nothing who holds an Ōdachi. He gives such a powerful blow that half of the road in front of Sans Nom is cut. He remains open-mouthed. If it had been a little closer, it would have been cut in half. "What should I do? "The Spirit of the Blade of Nothingness with his Ōdachi leaves him no chance to think and raises his weapon.
Sans Nom understands that he cannot think. He must attack. It's a desperate act, but he does it. He jumps on his enemy. He knows that his strength will not do much damage, but he must try to do as much damage as possible. He puts all the strength he has in his fingers and directs it towards the eyes of his opponent. He knows that whatever the strength of his opponent's body, his eyes are like all no one's eyes, nothing special. Sans Nom tears out the enemy's eyes with all his strength until he breaks his own fingers. He shouts with all his might: "Ggghhhhhh! "A blue blood, different from that of humans, flows from the orbits. The Spirit of the Blade of the Nothing gives him a punch in the jaw and Nameless flies several meters. Sans Nom falls, and when he gets up, his nose and mouth bleed, but his opponent has lost his eyes. Sans Nom says to himself: "Yes, it's time to flee! It was then that he saw another Spirit of the Blade of Nothing rushing at him with a spear. Without a Name could not dodge. The spear pierces his skin and the blood flows.
In another part of the dead forest, two people are out of breath. They are Râhenhotep and Nefirâ. "It looks like we ran away," she says. Râhenhotep says: "What are these monsters that appeared everywhere? Are these the monsters Ahlmaris talked about? "Nefirâ answers: "Yes, surely it's them. It seems that they only appear at night, which explains why this forest is dead. "Râhenhotep nods and says: "We should stay here, it's safer. "
Nefirâ nods: "Yes, it's a good suggestion. "When she has just said this, dozens of Spirits of the Blade of Nothingness appear.
But a little further, a few dozen Spirits of the Blade of Nothingness are killed by Ahlmaris. Others are still coming. A Spirit of the Blade of Nothing with a katana is accompanied by two others: one holds a Saber and the other a Scimitar. The three Spirits of the Blade of Nothing each place themselves in one direction. Ahlmaris says: "Do you really think you can beat me? So, all die, until there is none left! "
The night is still long, and the chaos is intensing. Sans Nom has fallen, but what will happen to Râhenhotep and Nefirâ? And will Ahlmaris be able to defeat the three Spirits of the Blade of Nothingness, or will he be overwhelmed by their number and determination?
