Her gaze swept Stephanie from head to toe. The gown. The bow.
'Oh.' Stephanie thought. 'She thought my uniform was some kind of… costume.'
Her brows furrowed. 'Why was Mr. Hamilton ordering playdates when he was married?'
'Should I say yes and catch him red-handed? Or ignore it? Not my business.'
"Never mind," the woman said, turning. She gestured to another employee dressed in a zombie mask and fishnets. "You must be room 405's usual, right?"
The masked zombie woman gave a thumbs-up—though she also seemed to side-eye Stephanie and her outfit out of recognizition.
But Stephanie felt she was mocking her silently. She didn't need to be told twice, she bolted.
"Mr. Hamilton was cheating on Mrs. Hamilton. No way I was keeping that to myself." she muttered.
Still… she was concerned about Principal Brown's disappearance and found it a little suspicious.
