"Thats nice," Ivy said, smiling at me. For someone I hated, she seemed… nice. Too nice.
A few of Hayden's friends strolled over, laughing with him like nothing in the world mattered.
"I like your hair color. Platinum blonde," Ivy said suddenly, her fingers brushing through my strands.
My shade of platinum was rare. In fact, I was the only one in Stan-Hedge with this color, and she seemed fascinated by it.
Hayden and his friends had already started leaving the lockers, heading for class, when he turned back to me. "Meet me in the lab after your first class."
"Don't tell me you're still tutoring her." One of his friends sneered, giving me a slow once-over before trailing after him. Suspended or not, they still treated Hayden like their captain. And that was why they hated me.
"No wonder Hayden talks to you," Ivy whispered.
No wonder Hayden talks to me? I forced out a small laugh. "What do you mean?"
"Oh, he's only attracted to platinum blondes. He's very picky like that."
