Why on earth will he say something like that? His apprehensions are so clear.
He appears so sure and confident. The tough warrior, the divine hero who lets his scythe talk. Nothing can faze him and yet here he is, so vulnerable, at my mercy.
With eyes closed, breathing irregular, body lax almost slumped over me. Face a mixture of pain and suffering.
My hands, he lets go, so I place them on his fallen face.
"Saiph?" I slowly call him and he opens his gorgeous but saddened eyes. They find me.
I know his method was wrong but I understand why he did what he did–why he was afraid to tell me the truth. Why he still is.
"You are important to me, as important as the others. You saved my life, and you stayed with me whenever I was in pain. No one is going to separate us." With that, I merge my lips softly with his, giving him an assuring kiss, meant to show him I care.
