Vahn maintained his composure, standing firm against the crushing aura of the Void Shattering Elders. The group of cranky old men watched, utterly bewildered that a young man could withstand their combined spiritual pressure.
"You managed to stand, little rat," the lead Supreme Elder sneered, finally withdrawing his projected aura. "But your trick only delays the inevitable. Hand over the traitorous Saintess and tell us where you hid the divine treasury."
"I see the White Lotus's faith extends only to kidnapping children and attacking weaker opponents with phantom forms," Vahn retorted, his voice cold with contempt. "You are an insult to the word 'Supreme.'"
