Early Monday morning, Zed dragged his tired body back to school. He'd just taken leave to go to Afghanistan to save Tony, and another absence would probably raise Charlie's eyebrows.
Zed's body had endured three battles in a row last night, and he felt a bit unsteady on his feet. But the rewards were considerable. Jessica had obtained the Blank Ride Watch, the death of Purple Man had yielded the AR-Leangle Ride Watch, and most importantly, he had established a preliminary partnership and friendly relations with Dan Kuroto.

But Zed didn't know that Jessica and S.H.I.E.L.D. had already met. Giving Jessica the Blank Ride Watch was like throwing a bone to a dog—gone forever.
And if someone like Zed, who was always scraping by, knew that Nick Fury, that black-egghead, had taken his Blank Ride Watch, he'd probably cough up blood, spiral into the sky, and explode on the spot.
Furthermore, Zed's wallet had already been plundered by Dan Kuroto once.
Back in the classroom, Zed walked over to Ned. "Where's Peter? He doesn't have to work on Mondays, does he?"
"I don't know! Maybe he got engrossed in a big sister magazine last night and lost track of time." Ned didn't usually have so much sass, but those who knew him well knew how outrageous he could get.
Ned shifted, propping up his chubby face with one hand, and turned to Zed with a serious expression. "I bought a membership yesterday!"
"No! No! No! I really don't have any left!"

Nighttime was when the good life truly began for Tony. Having nearly gone stir-crazy in the lab, Tony was attending a high-society charity gala.
The dazzling lights and the intoxicating atmosphere were simply fantastic!
Playboy Tony Stark was truly in his element in such a setting, and many of the supermodel beauties he brushed past were the very same women he'd spent a night with.
Tony greeted them without a hint of awkwardness, but that was all it was. After all, Tony had already set his sights on a target before coming to the charity gala. He squeezed through the wall of beauties surrounding him and walked to the bar to order a drink, intending to catch his breath.
"Mr. Tony Stark. I'm Agent Coulson, from S.H.I.E.L.D. I'd like to know the details of your escape from Afghanistan," a middle-aged man with thinning hair approached Tony and said.
Yes! That's right! It's our beloved Agent Coulson.
Agent May has taken over the New York case, and Nick Fury has reassigned Coulson to continue the Stark Industries mission.
Coulson couldn't help but wonder if Nick Fury was disappointed that he'd been tricked by the fake grenade.
"Are you serious? Someone actually remembers that long name!" Tony was truly astonished by the lengthy name.
