"A secret."
Jacob's eyes narrowed.
"What secret?"
Lucien's smile widened. He could already imagine their reaction.
Once Jacob learned about the Woman of Prophecy, the wolf pack would surely become interested. And if he told them that Valerian had been hiding her from the other races, they would undoubtedly become suspicious of Valerian. Perhaps they would even become angry enough to declare war against Eldarion.
Lucien slowly raised his chin.
"The Woman of Prophecy has arrived in our world."
Silence.
Lucien watched Jacob carefully. He expected a surprised and shocked reaction. But instead, Jacob simply blinked.
Then his lips slowly curled upward. A soft chuckle escaped him.
"Haha..."
Lucien's smile froze.
Jacob suddenly laughed.
"Hahahaha!"
The wolves around him also began chuckling.
Lucien stared at them in disbelief.
"...."
Jacob shook his head. "You are already late. Hahaha."
Lucien's expression darkened. "What do you mean?"
