The woman flinched at the sudden movement.
Another knight stepped forward, his weapon still pointed directly at her.
"Identify yourself!"
She stared at him, completely stunned. Her mind was racing.
She knew these men. They were the Shadow Knights of Eldarion. They were the warriors assigned to guard the original Lightpool and protect the sacred chamber beneath the Imperial Palace.
She knew this place.
She knew these knights.
She even knew the exact appearance of the chamber because she had read about it countless times in the novel.
Everything was exactly as she remembered.
Her mouth slowly opened. "Is this really Eldarion...?"
The knights immediately exchanged suspicious looks.
One of them narrowed his eyes. "How do you know the name of this kingdom?"
The woman froze.
