Chapter 27 - Killing a Peak Third-step

Ever since the battle commenced, Tsunami and Pearl were displaced over 1500 miles from the Mansion's location, highlighting the severity and scale of the battle.

Even without the execution of Dark Moon Arts, which ignited the fury of those who had once experienced the tyranny of tainted creatures. It was only a matter of time before other powerhouses within the region took notice of the battles' aftershock and paid a visit.

It was pretty common for favourites to take advantage of other weakened favourites, even resorting to killing all parties involved just to acquire their wealth and resources.

That was the nature of the cultivation world... ruthless, unforgiving.

...

Tsunami wasn't surprised that he didn't have access to Darkside's full power, most likely a result of his consciousness resisting the unjust exploitation of his abilities.

But Tsunami was prepared for such a scenario.

He stared at the Starlight mirror dimension, using his eyes to spot weak areas for exploitation.

All of them were currently within the silent domain, with the mirror dimension being much smaller in comparison, forming a box-like outer shell.

Above the mirror cage, a tribulation cloud was unleashing the wrath of heaven on the drop of blood.

Pearl had used her comprehension prowess to bend the laws of space, directing the tribulation lightning to bypass the mirror dimension without dealing damage to it.

...

Within the boxlike cage, the cyclone was in a crazed state, furiously shattering all projections with powerful tornadoes reaching speeds of up to 8000 miles per hour, and steel projectiles capable of levelling mountains.

Killing her babies was one thing, but being reduced to such a state by a weaker beast was beyond humiliation.

Ever since it became a third step, 700 years ago, it had never lost face to such a degree.

Pearl had not only summoned lightning with her domain, but since she had forcefully crossed a chasm, she wasn't supposed to; the heavens, in fury, sent tribulations.

And that tribulation lightning was cooking the cyclone alive.

Pearl had sacrificed her ancient bloodline by condensing all the divinity of her blood into one purplish-gold drop, which was placed at the centre of her domain.

And since it was this bloodline that offended the heavens, the moment she walked away from it, the heavens no longer concerned themselves with her presence.

...

At some point, she left her domain to help Tsunami's consciousness regain control, while her projections continued to manifest within the mirror dimension through the support of her cultivation base.

She was no longer present inside the mirror dimension, but the cyclone was unaware of this.

To it, every projection was a ploy of deception, while the real body hid in wait to strike… it had lost its legs and was blinded in one eye by this same tactic, after all.

In its crazed state, it resolved to burn its bloodline, even at the risk of never ascending... forcefully displaying the full might of its peak cultivation base.

Shortly after, cracks began to spread on the outer frame of the mirror dimension.

...

27 secs... 26 secs

Massive amounts of information came crashing down like a flood within Tsunami's mind as he stared at the mirror dimension.

'Useless, useless, useless, useless, useless...'

Inside his mind, Tsunami was also in a crazed state, filtering out unnecessary information... his goal was to reinforce the mirror dimension and find a way to kill the cyclone.

Since his power was lacking, he opted to find a method in which he would be a medium, while Pearl's cultivation became a weapon.

25 secs...

'Fond you!'

Without wasting any moment, he shifted his gaze to the moons, immediately entering a state of enlightenment about the Dark Moon Arts.

24 secs...

'[Finger of Death] [Million sensations] ... that shall do it'

He summoned his [hand break] and fired two successive shots in a given direction without looking.

BOOM! BOOM!

The cyclone that had most of its life force drained and was weakly trying to fly away... just like that, met its end.

He dismissed his weapon, turned to look at Pearl, and, now having learnt sound transmission, spoke a series of instructions at a fast pace.

22 secs...

...

When the mirror dimension was about to shatter completely, small red hands in the millions appeared at once, each writing a series of dark text at strategic positions on the mirror's outer shell.

Shortly after the cracks on the mirror dimension began healing, before the entire dimension abruptly reduced in size by half.

Inside the mirror dimension, when the cyclone saw this... it became even crazier.

Just a few seconds ago, it had managed to destroy the last projection and realised that it had been played with… toyed with this entire time.

This-this was just too much humiliation... Now that it was about to break free, the twinkle was back to mess with it.

"Screeeech!..." it cried out in fury.

The cyclone retracted its silent wind domain, covering only a small area around its body, protecting itself from the thunder tribulation, while turning its body into a drill-like steel rod before shooting at the mirror boundary.

This now became a battle of attrition... a battle between strength and the power of knowledge.

Tsunami's hands were outstretched outward, like a person carrying a sphere, with each hand controlling half a million red ones, and each finger executing 100,000 dark arts.

It didn't take long before he moved his hands again, making them write a series of different texts.

The results... The mirror dimension contracted a hundred times more, leaving the cyclone with only 1.5 miles of space.

What Tsunami was writing originated from the elves... a unique trait which allowed them to command the power of nature through the use of words.

The text forcibly increased the destructive power of whatever it was written on by 100 times, and increased comprehension of any law by 10%, of which Pearl was the recipient.

...

18secs... 17 secs...

For a favourite beast of its size, 1.5 miles of space was akin to a death trap.

So as the wrath of heaven descended, the cries of destruction resounded across the spirit realm.

...

16 secs... 15 secs...

As it continued to drill with no visible progress, in its remaining eye, the cyclone exhibited a range of emotions that could be seen: sorrow, unwillingness to die, and most of all, regret.

If it had the option to rewind time and be at the moment when it discovered the direction where the twinkle was heading, it would have never messed with it.

But now...now nothing can be changed.

It sensed one of its babies still alive, escaping at its fastest speed... even at the risk of damaging its bloodline; at least cowardice would keep it alive.

As the cyclone's domain shattered, a dangerous maternal will to protect its surviving baby rose within it.

Since death was inevitable, the bastard twinkle will perish with it... removing any risk to its last baby.

The cyclone closed its remaining eye and began to self-destruct.

...

The moment Tsunami saw the onset of the self-destruction, two giant doors, with chains around them, appeared behind him.

The [million sensations] was dismissed, his body transforming into a gravitational whirlpool, sucking every last bit of life force from the three cyclone corpses 48 miles beneath them.

He moved his right hand in a forward motion, with a finger pointed at the mirror dimension, which caused the doors behind him to emit a death aura before two hands shot out in succession, mirroring Tsunami's movements.

Pearl stopped supporting the mirror dimension, and a clone walked out from her before vanishing inside one of the fingers of death, while her original body disappeared into the other.

BOOOOM!
