Chapter 5: Daren and the red theater

Two days later, delpha black star ship.
Sitting atop a large building between two towers. Adam watched in the distance. Daren was one of his main targets for bounties, a subordinate that he would make into bait to catch Daren's leader, Luna, of the thieves guild she built.
Adam leaned forward, his soft golden eyes staring at the vast number of people who seemed to live inside these large hive cities on the black star ships.
Immediately, Adam boosted off at high speed, launching himself between different buildings' rooftops with jumps, flips, and kicking off the air acrobatically.
Daren, who was a member of Luna's thief guild, was walking down a narrow street as hundreds of flying vehicles hovered past above his head. Adam watched quietly from within a crowd of ordinary civilians as his hollow energy, using the assassin skill called Silent Step, granted him complete presence erasure.
If Daren were to try to sense Adam's signature with the silent step activated, Adam would feel like another face in the city's bustling crowds, and Daren, with hollow energy sensing, would be unable to tell which one Adam is until he reveals himself.
Adam continued to silently stalk his bounty from a distance of about 145 meters, taking careful steps between
The buildings and rooftops around him.
After a few moments, Adam stopped and watched carefully as Daren turned his head from left to right, watching to see if anyone had been following. Daren stepped into what looked like a club. Still, they were actually called "theaters" throughout different black star ships and even the dead zones alike, but they were actually places that sold various illegal items & work such as weapons, drugs, and guns for hire.
Adam, still watching at a distance, walked off to the side towards a nearby building. He casually lapped twice around the building directly across the street, still mixing in between crowds so as not to draw any attention to himself. At the same time, he watched out for anyone behind him who might be following.
After circling back, Adam crouched low behind the building. Opening up his palm, the golden-eyed hunter's body digitized around his hands, forming fly-sized mechanical recon drones that sprouted out. sending them up into the air and directing them towards the red theater Daren walked into, commanding all 1,000 of them he summoned to scout.
'Those should be enough drones for recon. I've sent them across different points of entry within the theater's radius as I walked by twice. Hopefully, nobody paid too close attention to me when I was pausing the time between my silent step & use of my complex configurum.'
After a few moments, under the guise of night. Adam's small recon drones flew out from behind the red theater where Daren was hiding; the collective of flies traveled into Adam's chest, seeping into his mind and relaying needed info.
For 10 seconds, Adam sat in silence, letting all the information he gathered from his flies watch during that recon give him a full layout of the entire place.
Within Adam's mind, he watched intently as multiple scenes, like pages turning in a book, replayed, shaping the layout of the red theater, which had two levels of importance.
The first level was a dark blue ballroom that housed all the guests who would attend these "theaters," coming in by the hundreds to buy, sell, or purchase items. As Adam continued to watch the drone footage, he saw guards posted at every entrance and exit of the ballroom, carrying high-powered steam rifles & covered in well-armored gear.
Scanning through more of his recon drones and watching the recordings, he saw the main objective he was looking for. That was, of course, on the second level, where it held all the stolen goods and other weapons Daren possessed.
Although from the recordings. Adam noticed in the footage. Daren had been conversing with a woman only a few minutes earlier in the red theater on the storage level and had suddenly left as soon as she disappeared.
The main outline he could discern from the footage was that the person was a woman with a well-framed physique, light blue hair, an all-black jumpsuit with a utility belt securely wrapped around her waist, and a dark blue mask that partially covered her lower mouth and lips.
'This is good. I've gotten the general layouts of the red theaters' levels and, most importantly, a lead about a woman inside the recording that was talking with Daren, whom I think I might have a guess on based upon those light eyes and colored blue & black hair I've seen before.'
The recon drones' recordings finish. Adam quietly got up, and his eyes and nose began to tingle slightly as he used his enhanced senses to focus on how many civilians were in the area, his nose smelling for distances of up to a few thousand miles. Taking note of the number of people he could pinpoint within his radius.
Adam could sense the hollow energy signatures of over 1.4 million people in the general area of the red theater, mentally capturing each person's overall shape and size to determine who the youngest and oldest members were.
A second later, the sound of a gun being loaded clicks and resounds in the alleyway as Adam climbs up a building, gets to the top of its roof, and, with a quick leap, he jumps across, landing atop the red theater's roof.
'I'll make sure to keep my hollow energy output to a minimum of 10%, no higher than a 20-25% range. I don't want to accidentally involve innocent casualties because I got too deep into my battle, so that I will be more on the safer side.'
Instantly, Adam drew his hand cannon, Testament Magnifico, aiming it down towards the theater's roof, and bang!
Bang! Bang! bang!
Four shots rang down into the main level; Adam, from above, jumped down, crashing into the middle of the hall's main room, called the opening view, a place where those who trade and sell will converse with one another.
Landing on the ground, Adam pulls himself up and says, out loud, to the crowd of criminals, " let's get this party rolling."
