Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Underworld Battle? (3)

Axamu stepped out of the cage. The crowd roared like animals but his eyes stayed dead, unfazed. His steps were slow, steady, blood dripping from his cheek and forehead as if it didn't belong to him.

Baito practically bounced in excitement.

"Ehe he he~! Brat, that was insane! You really did it! You really won!!"

The underworld management stood behind him, arms crossed, eyes locked on Axamu like he was some newly discovered weapon.

"What an unbelievable performance…" one of them muttered.

"That wasn't luck. That was instinct. Precision. Cold execution," another said, leaning forward.

"This boy… we might've found something valuable."

Baito scowled. "You're just repeating what I said but trying to sound cool!"

Axamu ignored all of them. He pushed open the back-room door and let it close behind him with a dull slam.

Inside, the dim lamp flickered above a wooden bench. He sat down heavily. His clothes were soaked—blood, sweat, maybe both. He pulled his jacket and shirt off, dropping them to the floor with a wet slap.

His vision blurred. His breathing hitched.

Then—

His body lurched forward.

"—ghhhh…"

He vomited, a heavy splash of dark-red blood hitting the floor. His fingers dug into the edge of the bench.

> Damn it…

So that recoil earlier really tore something inside, huh…?

Pain resistance… only masks it. It doesn't stop the damage.

His body shook, but he refused to fall.

Then—

A sharp PING echoed.

A system window flashed open right in front of him where only he could see:

"CONGRATULATIONS! You win the battle!

Please choose your reward!"

1. Beyblade X (Random)

2. Player Status (Random)

3. Hint of Fate: Extra Character (Random)

Axamu didn't react. His expression didn't change. His breaths were shallow. Blood dripped from his lip.

Another window suddenly appeared beneath it:

[MAKE YOUR CHARACTER BECOME MORE IMPORTANT IN THIS WORLD!]

Progress: 14%

He stared at the glowing windows…

…then lifted his hand and swiped them aside, making them disappear like they meant nothing.

His stomach twisted violently again. He leaned forward—

And vomited blood once more.

> Whatever. Rewards or progress… I don't care right now.

I just need to survive the next match. Three more wins and that's it.

Another drop of blood hit the floor.

---

Axamu didn't get time to breathe.

The moment he wiped the last streak of blood off his mouth, a staff member open the door.

"Axamu, to the second match."

He didn't respond. He just stood, picked up White Scorpio Spear, and walked past the man like a ghost.

---

Match Two

The cage door clanged shut behind him.

The crowd roared—hungry, wild, addicted to the blood of the boy who bled with every clash.

The announcer's voice boomed:

"BACK AGAIN, THE BLEEDING DEMON—AXAMU RIYAAAA!"

His opponent smirked.

"Heh, already pale? You're not lasting this one."

Axamu's eyes were half-lidded… unfocused… almost drifting.

> Shut up.

3… 2… 1—GO SHOOT!!

Clash.

Clash.

Clash.

Each hit carved new pain into Axamu's body. A bruise bloomed on his ribs. A thin line of blood trickled from his nose.

But he kept dodging—

kept countering—

kept breathing.

A final Xtreme Dash tore through the stadium.

Opponent BURST.

"THE WINNER—AGAIN—AXAMU RIYAAAAA!!"

Axamu didn't celebrate.

He didn't look proud.

He didn't even blink.

He left the cage, vomiting blood halfway to the back room.

---

Match Three

They dragged him out again.

His knees buckled for a moment—

but he forced himself upright.

> Three wins.

I need three.

…two more.

The announcer shouted:

"Match THREE! Will the demon fall?! WILL HE COLLAPSE?! OR WILL HE BLEED HIS WAY TO VICTORY AGAIN?!"

His next opponent grinned.

"You look half-dead. I'll finish the job."

Axamu's eyes barely focused on him.

> …talk as much as you want.

GO SHOOT!!!

This opponent was faster—

sharper—

smarter.

The stadium flashed with sparks as the two beys clashed like steel predators.

One hit landed especially vicious—sending Axamu to his knees as blood dripped down his chin.

The crowd screamed in excitement.

"A HIT!! HE'S BLEEDING!! HE'S BLEEDING AGAIN!!"

> Shut up.

His bey caught the X-Rail—

Sped up—

And launched the counterattack.

BOOM—BURST!!!

His opponent fell to his knees.

"Wh—WHAT?!"

"WINNER!! AXAMU—RIYAAA!!!"

The crowd erupted.

Axamu walked away, barely able to feel his legs.

His vision pulsed, blurred, and darkened at the edges.

---

Backstage… Before the Final Match

He collapsed onto the bench again, clutching his stomach.

More blood hit the floor.

His breath was ragged.

His vision dimmed like fading light.

> …One more.

Just… one.

I have to endured it...

Until I win…

He looked at his reflection in a cracked mirror.

His pupils were darker now—like a black void swallowing the light.

> I wanna go back home...

---

Final Match — The Announcement

The announcer's voice thundered—rattling the underground stadium.

"LADIES… AND… GENTLEMEEEENT!!!"

The crowd surged like a wave.

"WE HAVE ARRIVED—AT THE FINAL BATTLE!!!"

Axamu walked toward the cage, steps slow, swaying.

Stuffing blood-soaked tissues into his mouth so he wouldn't choke on his own bleeding.

His vision blurred again.

Everything… felt far away.

The announcer raised his mic—

"AND NOW!! FOR THE FINAL OPPONENT OF THE NIGHT!!"

The crowd stomped their feet.

"THE LEGENDARY!! THE UNDEFEATED KING OF THE UNDERWORLD!!"

Axamu's eyes lifted slightly… empty… abyss-like.

"THE GLUTTONY—THE MONSTER WHO DEVOURS ALL BEYBLADERS—"

A massive man stepped forward.

A towering silhouette with deep scars, a sinister grin, and a custom black bey etched with jagged edges.

"NANATSUUUU TAIZOOOOO!!!"

The crowd exploded in screams.

Baito's face turned pale.

The underworld management whispered:

"Taizo…? They're actually sending him…?"

"I guess he will lose this time."

"He's barely standing."

Taizo's shadow fell over Axamu as the big man laughed.

"Hah. You look like a corpse already, kid."

Axamu raised his head slowly… eyes hollow… abyss-like…

And thought:

> One more win...

And i can rest...

He stepped into the cage.

Final battle.

Final opponent.

Final breath.
