Morning sunlight spilled through the wide penthouse windows.
The city looked distant and small beneath the glass — as if Axamu and Shirayuki were standing above it, on some private fragment of sky. The room was quiet except for the soft hum of appliances and the gentle breathing of the girl still asleep on the couch, hugging a pillow, hair slightly messy.
Axamu sat at the dining table.
A cup of untouched coffee steamed beside him.
His eyes were on the air in front of him.
"…Alright," he exhaled slowly. "Guess it's time."
The system obeyed the thought.
Light rippled.
Countless translucent windows unfolded at once, stacking and overlapping like heavenly machinery.
—SYSTEM—
"CONGRATULATIONS! Pending Rewards Detected."
• Underworld Victory Rewards
• Fate of Extra Completion Rewards
• Hidden Achievements
Total Claimable Rewards: Large
Axamu narrowed his eyes.
(Yeah… I let them stack up long enough.)
He tapped his fingers once against the table.
"Open reward list."
The windows rearranged, crisp and precise.
Choose Your Reward:
1. Beyblade X (Random) — x4
2. Player Status (Random) — x4
3. Hint of Fate: Extra Character (Random) — x4
He leaned back in his chair.
(Still only this reward huh…)
His gaze slid briefly toward Shirayuki, still quietly asleep — Longinus resting beside her like a loyal beast.
(I guess it can't be helped...)
Axamu sigh.
(I know i have a system like in those novel fantasy based system but...don't this system is too stingy? All i have still these same rewards.)
Axamu sigh again and he lifted his hand and made his decision.
"…I'll take all three types."
The system chimed.
"Confirmed. Beginning Sequential Reward Selection."
White rings of light spun around him.
Wind stirred his hair and papers on the table fluttered.
Shirayuki murmured in her sleep, but did not wake.
Axamu stared forward, unblinking.
"First," he said quietly, "Beyblade X — Random."
(This world is ruled by beyblade… so I'll keep stacking weapons.)
The roulette of names, shapes, and attributes spiraled, thousands per second, impossible to follow.
He didn't blink.
He didn't pray.
He simply watched fate move.
Then he raised his voice slightly.
"Second… Player Status — Random."
He felt a slow heat crawl through his bones already, as if the system was preparing to rewrite something fundamental inside him.
"Third," he finished, breath steady, "Hint of Fate: Extra Character."
Faces he hadn't met yet rippled past him like silhouettes behind glass.
Some smiling.
Some crying.
Some drenched in blood.
All of them pulling him deeper into the world's script.
His lips curved faintly.
(If the system wants to make me important…)
"…then fine," Axamu whispered.
"I'll become someone it can't control."
The light surged brighter.
—REWARDS INITIALIZING—
---
Morning light filtered through the room as the glow of the system slowly faded.
When it cleared, Axamu finally saw the results of the rewards he had chosen.
In front of him floated four Beyblade X cores, shining in a calm, dignified white light.
White Phoenix Wing.
White Knight Mail.
White Golem Rock.
White Dran Dagger.
Each one pulsed faintly, as if breathing.
He looked at them silently, eyes narrowing slightly.
"…All white, huh."
Then, another line of notifications appeared.
—Status Rewards Acquired—
Pain Resistance Up
Control Up
Defense Up
Attack Up
The light from them sank quietly into his body. No burst of agony, no overwhelming flood of power. Just a steady reinforcement, like invisible armor layering itself over his soul.
Then the final window appeared.
—Fate of Extra: New Quests Unlocked—
Four quests.
Axamu stared at the screen for a few seconds.
He let out a small breath.
"…That's more than I thought."
His expression stayed calm, but even he couldn't completely hide the surprise in his voice.
"Four beyblades… four status upgrades… and four Fate of Extra quests."
He counted them in his head.
"Four… plus four… plus four… so in total I get twelve rewards."
He scratched the back of his neck lightly and sighed.
"That's a lot…"
Silence settled in the room again.
The beys hovered quietly. The quests pulsed faintly in the corner of the interface. His body still felt like itself, yet stronger — steadier, more controlled, less fragile than before.
Axamu looked at the empty air for a moment.
"…I hope I can see my status screen too, if possible," he muttered.
He waited.
Nothing appeared.
No window.
No numbers.
No neat panel showing his growth.
Just silence.
He gave a small, resigned smile and shook his head.
"…but I guess I can't."
Then Axamu sigh.
Damn it.
