Chapter 39 - Encounter with Naruto

Elder Yatsuyo was equally puzzled. Ryosuke had only just awakened his Three Tomoe Sharingan, yet his ocular power was already that strong—truly a genius-level talent. But what was this strange taijutsu?

"Idaho, why did you lose in taijutsu?"

In fairness, taijutsu was never the mainstream of the shinobi world. Idaho was several years older than Ryosuke—there was no reason he should have lost.

Idaho explained the events to Yatsuyo.

"When we were clashing in taijutsu, we were evenly matched at first. I used Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu, but secretly I created a clone with Clone Technique, leaving it behind while my real body hid.

As expected, he fought the clone. I then took the chance to strike his real body."

Hearing this, Yatsuyo praised Idaho's tactical thinking, though inwardly he remained puzzled.

"By that logic, you shouldn't have lost."

Idaho was also confused.

"I didn't think I would lose either. The strange thing is that Ryosuke's speed suddenly surged, and he blocked what should have been my finishing kick.

I still remember—his forehead veins bulged, and his skin even darkened. Elder Yatsuyo, what secret technique of the clan could that have been?"

Yatsuyo thought deeply. While the Uchiha did have taijutsu techniques, none matched the description of one that could explosively enhance the body's power.

Some clans in Konoha, like the Akimichi, had jutsu that enhanced their bodies—but those didn't fit what Idaho described.

"I don't know."

Idaho felt a wave of disappointment. He had hoped it was a clan technique he could learn to grow stronger. But if the clan didn't possess it, then how did Ryosuke obtain it? Unless…

"Elder Yatsuyo, do you know of a man called Might Guy? Ryosuke has been training under him lately."

At the mention of Guy's name, Yatsuyo frowned. He had heard of another name—Might Duy.

"You're of the younger generation, so perhaps you don't know him. But that man was a true taijutsu genius.

During the Third Great Ninja War, he fought alone against the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and defeated them, killing four while only three escaped."

Idaho was shocked.

"That strong? Why was he never famous?"

"Because he was just a genin. No one would ever spread the achievements of a genin."

"Genin?" Idaho was bewildered. "The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist were all at least jōnin-level. How could a mere genin not only defeat them, but kill four?"

Yatsuyo answered.

"The Eight Gates Release—a taijutsu of extremes."

Idaho's eyes lit up.

"Elder Yatsuyo, does our clan have this technique?"

"Of course not. And abandon such thoughts—it is far beyond your imagination to train in. As far as I know, no one in Konoha currently knows how to use it.

And the side effects are devastating. Opening all eight gates means certain death, and even opening the earlier ones damages the body. Without a monstrously strong physique, one cannot succeed."

Idaho slumped in disappointment. He had hoped to learn it to strengthen himself.

Yatsuyo then speculated.

"Might Guy is likely the descendant of Might Duy. If that's the case, Ryosuke must have obtained the Eight Gates training method from him.

Ryosuke's sudden burst of speed was probably the Eight Gates. That means he's a taijutsu genius. Call him here. Let's see if we can draw him into our camp."

Though the jutsu was dangerous, having someone capable of it was a massive advantage. Even with time limits, it granted overwhelming superiority.

Idaho agreed and left the office, heading straight to Ryosuke's home.

At that moment, Ryosuke had already left Kurenai's house—since her mother was about to return.

He couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. It almost felt like an affair—secretive, thrilling.

Back home, he was ready to rest and then resume training to increase his stats. But to his surprise, Idaho arrived.

"What are you doing at my house?"

With respect on his face, Idaho replied:

"Elder Yatsuyo requests your presence at the Police Force headquarters…"

The name stirred Ryosuke's memory. Wasn't Yatsuyo the leader of the clan's radical faction?

His grandfather and Fugaku were more or less neutral. Still, Ryosuke wanted to see what the man wanted, so he followed Idaho toward the Police Force building.

On the way, Ryosuke's attention was caught by a boy in an orange tracksuit with blond hair.

Wasn't that the Child of Prophecy—Naruto Uzumaki?

Seeing him, Ryosuke stopped walking.

Idaho also paused, following his gaze. His face turned helpless.

That child was the vessel of the Nine-Tails—the village's jinchūriki. Everyone knew by now, except perhaps the children.

Naruto entered a shop, wanting to buy some snacks.

But when the shopkeeper saw him, his expression twisted.

Wasn't this the reincarnation of the Nine-Tailed Fox? His own kin had died on the night of the Nine-Tails' rampage. His shop had been devastated.

Even for money, he would never do business with this child.

He rushed out from behind the counter and shoved Naruto out the door.

Naruto, still just a child, couldn't resist an adult's strength and was quickly forced outside.

Looking bewildered, he asked:

"Why, boss? I just want to buy something—I have money."

The shopkeeper's face twisted with disgust.

"Even if you have money, I won't sell to you. Leave! Don't bring misfortune to my store."

Naruto's face fell. There was nothing he could do if the man refused. Holding his coins, he went to another shop—only to be driven out again, this time with curses.

"Damn fox demon, get out of my house!"

Watching this, Ryosuke was speechless.

So this was Naruto's childhood—truly tragic. The son of a hero, treated this way. It chilled Ryosuke's heart.

What were Konoha's leaders even doing?

He couldn't comprehend it.

Soon, Naruto disappeared down the street. After all, every shop turned him away. Some even banned him from entering.

Ryosuke shook his head. Clearly, the villagers knew the Nine-Tails was sealed inside him. But they vented their hatred on the boy himself.

Even with ANBU guarding the jinchūriki, they let him suffer like this. Weren't they afraid it might drive him to explode one day?

Idaho, seeing Ryosuke's expression, asked:

"Do you pity the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki?"

Ryosuke nodded. Of course he pitied him. The son of a hero, treated like dirt—what were the village elders thinking?

Idaho sighed.

"He's just a pitiful child. He never chose to have the Nine-Tails sealed in him. To me, he's actually a hero of the village.

If our Uchiha clan had been allowed to fight during the Nine-Tails' rampage, we could have repelled the beast. Even the Fourth Hokage might not have died.

In that case, this child wouldn't have had to become the jinchūriki."

"Come on. Elder Yatsuyo is still waiting for us."

Even he could do nothing about it.

Before leaving, Ryosuke glanced back at the villagers.

They must know the Nine-Tails was sealed in Naruto. Yet they still treated him as if he were the demon fox itself.

No matter how he looked at it, the blame couldn't fall on Naruto.

The villagers of Konoha were truly ignorant.

Not long after, Idaho led Ryosuke into Yatsuyo's office.

The elder signaled Idaho to leave, wanting to speak to Ryosuke alone.

Once Idaho exited, Yatsuyo carefully examined the young man before him—strong physique, refined taijutsu, vastly changed from before.

Ryosuke looked back at the elder with short brown hair, stern eyes, and a serious face.

"Elder, why did you summon me?"

Before inviting him into the radical faction, Yatsuyo first wanted to know Ryosuke's view on the clan's relationship with Konoha's leadership.

"What do you think of our clan's current relations with the village leadership?"

Ryosuke answered according to his understanding:

"At present, our relations with Konoha's leaders are extremely hostile. But this is not the Uchiha clan's fault—it is the fault of the leadership.

Even our compound has been forcibly moved to the outskirts. That is a humiliation to our clan.

It's not only an insult, but also a deliberate act to push us out of the power center, slowly turning us into a marginalized clan."

Yatsuyo was very pleased. The boy was not only skilled in taijutsu but also perceptive. Clearly, he leaned toward the radicals.

Given the current situation, Konoha no longer had a place for the Uchiha—that much was obvious.

If the leadership hadn't forced them into a corner, they wouldn't be contemplating a coup.

Smiling, Yatsuyo said:

"Ryosuke, you see things more clearly than most of our clan.

The leadership intends to completely push us out of Konoha's power structure. But remember, Konoha was founded by our Uchiha alongside the Senju.

We must launch a coup, reclaim our clan's honor. Will you join us, in the radical faction?"
