The treatment for Lacus was kept under wraps.
For Luo Shu, he had resolved Lacus's hormonal imbalance and fertility issues.
Most importantly, he'd made this pink-haired sweetheart a bit more humane, preventing her from actually pushing him to become an emperor with three thousand concubines.
That was enough.
After addressing all the negative factors Luo Shu could identify, he decided not to pry further, planning to check later.
After all, he was genuinely worried this adorable pink-haired girl might pretend to agree while secretly still pursuing her kidney-destroying plans—hence the need for follow-up checks.
As for Lacus, her restored emotional system could perfectly serve as a trap.
Who this trap was meant for would depend on who was unlucky enough to stumble into it.
With this mutual understanding, Luo Shu and Lacus walked out of the bedroom side by side into the living room.
There, Luo Shu immediately spotted Utaha and Kisara sitting side by side on the sofa, alongside a drowsy Mukuro Hoshimiya.
After a glance at Mukuro—who was still adjusting to her powers—Luo Shu turned to Utaha Kasumigaoka without concern:
"According to Lacus, she apparently arranged to meet you at the Hidden Management Department at 10 o'clock to take you to Copernicus for background checks..."
This lengthy preamble was just setting up the question: why had Utaha shown up at his place at 8 AM?
Are you knocking on the wrong door?
Hearing this, Utaha tilted her head slightly, casting a sidelong glance at Luo Shu as she teased:
"Oh? So you two have finished discussing and are now ready to settle accounts with me for ruining your fun?"
Though she'd begun to feel that having Kisara around might help curb Luo Shu's behaviour—and even that adding more girls might be preferable to competing with thousands—Utaha couldn't resist quipping.
After all, she couldn't let him think she'd already surrendered and he could do as he pleased, could she?
Luo Shu snorted at this and retorted:
"Settle accounts? If I really wanted to settle accounts, would you still be sitting there comfortably? Would your legs even be able to walk?"
At these words, Utaha immediately noticed Kisara beside her, suddenly clamping her legs together, her expression turning awkward—as if she were the one who couldn't walk properly.
Seeing this, Utaha hmphed and shot Luo Shu a displeased look:
"So you're saying you want to pin me down like you did with Kisara?"
Luo Shu rolled his eyes at Utaha but didn't mind her petty attitude.
However, Lacus, standing nearby, suddenly smiled and said:
"I see. Miss Kasumigaoka isn't satisfied with Kisara being the only one who's experienced this?"
"Understood."
"Kisara, Mukuro, could you help fulfil her request?"
"Wait, what—"
Utaha's face froze in bewilderment. By the time she processed the situation, Kisara and Mukuro had already seized her arms.
"Wait, what are you two doing?"
Utaha Kasumigaoka struggled frantically, her genetically enhanced body unleashing enough strength to overpower oxen with a sudden burst of force from her arms.
Yet at this moment, she was facing a Pureblood demon of Hero Rank and a Demigod-level Spirit.
The result of her desperate effort was her arms remaining completely immobile, suspended mid-air in their grip.
Realising she couldn't shake them off, Utaha quickly turned pleading eyes towards Luo Shu.
In response, Luo Shu asked with an odd expression:
"Why do I get the feeling you're actually looking forward to this?"
Utaha's face froze before she hastily spat out:
"...Who'd ever look forward to something like this!!"
At these words, Luo Shu's expression grew even stranger.
But for Luo Shu, what mattered more right now was Lacus's intentions.
"So, what exactly are you trying to do here?" Luo Shu turned to whisper closely to Lacus.
"Consider it a pledge of allegiance." Lacus blinked mischievously and smiled. "After all, Miss Utaha will be handling top-secret inspection missions from now on. Isn't it normal for me to want some leverage in hand?"
"Are you sure you want leverage over Utaha?" Luo Shu asked blankly. Wasn't this clearly about getting leverage over him instead?
Ah, but then again, she'd already gained leverage over him the previous day. One more probably didn't matter.
With that thought, he continued:
"Are you sure you're not just trying to mess with someone?"
"Whatever gave you that idea?" Lacus replied with a smile.
'No no no no, I'm absolutely certain you're messing with someone...' X2
Kisara and Utaha thought simultaneously.
For this brief moment, their thoughts were perfectly aligned.
However, this unity was fleeting.
Especially when Kisara eagerly moved to escort Utaha to the room:
"So we're taking Kasumigaoka-san to the room now, right?"
"Weren't you the victim last night? Why are you helping her then?"
Faced with Utaha's accusation, Kisara showed no guilt, answering righteously:
"Something this embarrassing shouldn't be something I experience alone!"
"Then why not grab her instead?" Utaha pointed at Lacus.
Kisara paused before replying:
"She's too scary. You're different."
"Even demons bully the weak and fear the strong?" Utaha asked between laughter and tears.
"More accurately, only those who bully the weak and fear the strong qualify as demons," Kisara murmured in response.
Seeing this, Utaha turned her pleading gaze back to Luo Shu.
Clearing his throat, Luo Shu stepped forward with exaggerated solemnity:
"You know how it is... Lacus is technically my boss~~"
What followed was a stream of excuses like "She signs my paychecks," "You're the one who made this request, so own up to it," and "Honestly, just standing outside the door would be embarrassing enough."
Luo Shu effortlessly reeled off these remarks without needing help from Kisara or Mukuro, successfully dragging Utaha into the room and shutting the door - accidentally hitting Kisara's nose in the process, leaving her clutching her face in frustration.
Unlike Kisara, Mukuro Hoshimiya, who could open space channels, enjoyed the show with great interest.
When Miss Utaha reappeared, she was wrapped in a white towel with damp, dripping hair.
Utaha Kasumigaoka stepped out of the living room and glanced guiltily at the group sitting on the sofa. Seeing that everyone looked normal except for Kisara's odd expression, she finally relaxed and approached with a complaint:
"I feel like I've been brainwashed by you lot."
"You'll get used to it."
Lacus's single remark left both Utaha and Kisara speechless.
Instead, it was Kisara who quipped, "That scream just now was so fake. You two just ran in there to put on an act!"
"Scam! This is practically fraud!"
Utaha flushed with embarrassment at the remark, even shooting a slightly hollow glance at Lacus.
Meanwhile, Mukuro Hoshimiya munched on crisps and murmured softly:
"I saw it, you know."
"Big Brother promised to meet her tomorrow night... at the usual place."
"Big Sister, where is the usual place?"
"I see, so it's the usual spot, huh?"
Hearing this, Kisara immediately fixed Utaha with a teasing stare, holding it for a long moment before saying:
"You really went all out with those exaggerated moans inside. Must've been tough for you."
Hearing this, Mukuro Hoshimiya looked surprised:
"Eh? Even the sounds in the bathroom were exaggerated?"
"Enough!" Utaha Kasumigaoka shouted, her face red as she hurriedly stopped Mukuro from continuing.
In an instant, Kisara's gaze turned extremely peculiar.
"I see, so it was a feint to the east while attacking in the west~"
Lacus shook her head and smiled, paying no mind to Utaha's crimson face as she simply reminded:
"Do exercise some restraint. Given Luo Shu's abilities, his stamina is practically limitless."
"So you knew about this? No wonder you never worried about me being drained dry - you knew I could handle it."
Luo Shu emerged from the room, towel-drying his hair while wearing just boxers, approaching as he spoke.
Utaha immediately pointed at Luo Shu in shock:
"So you've been cheating with your abilities all along? I googled, and normal people last about ten minutes max, yet you went on forever-you were cheating!"
Luo Shu just rolled his eyes:
"What nonsense. I don't even need abilities to deal with you."
"That's only necessary when handling Hagoromo Gitsune."
He immediately clamped his mouth shut, realising Utaha didn't know about Hagoromo Gitsune.
But Utaha didn't pursue this, instead looking rather awkward as her gaze darted about.
So she couldn't even push Luo Shu to use his abilities?
After drying his hair, Luo Shu glanced at the silent Utaha before addressing Lacus:
"You're taking this idiot away for the whole day?"
Lacus nodded slightly, adding, "More than one day, actually. Mukuro and Kisara are coming too for some necessary examinations."
"I see."
Luo Shu checked the wall clock and considered:
"In that case, I'll have some free time. Perfect timing."
"Just when a certain blonde failure is still dutifully attending class - perfect for a home visit."
Utaha's Eriri radar immediately activated.
Stealing a glance at Luo Shu's calm expression, she understood.
That misfit Miss Eriri was about to be in trouble~
Should she set off firecrackers to celebrate?
