Amelia burst through the doors of Channel 7 News at six in the morning, desperate to tell her side of the story.
The security guard jumped up from his desk. "Ma'am, you can't just walk in here!"
"I need to speak to Sandra Mills. It's urgent!"
"Ms. Mills doesn't take walk-in appointments. You need to—"
"Tell her it's Liya. Tell her I want to give an exclusive interview about everything."
The guard's eyes went wide. He grabbed his phone and dialed quickly.
Within minutes, Sandra Mills herself came rushing down the hallway, followed by three camera operators and a makeup artist.
"Amy Grant! I can't believe you're here. Are you ready to confess?"
"I'm ready to tell the truth," Amelia said firmly.
Thirty minutes later, she was sitting across from Sandra under bright studio lights. Cameras were rolling live across the country.
"This is Sandra Mills with a Channel 7 exclusive. I'm here with Liya, also known as Amy Grant, who says she has something important to tell America."
