Chapter 141 - A Gift Delivered

Ice-Fire Duality Eyes.

Tang San struggled to dodge the attacks of the Human-Faced Demon Spider, not noticing that not far from him, a fully green-clad elder had silently appeared. Upon seeing Du Gu Bo, the Human-Faced Demon Spider wisely dissolved into a wisp of black smoke and vanished.

The sudden silence behind him caused Tang San, who was using Ghost Shadow Illusion Steps, to look back, only to find the Human-Faced Demon Spider gone. He was slightly surprised, then stopped, cautiously observing his surroundings.

"Strange… wasn't the Human-Faced Demon Spider right behind me? Why has it disappeared?" Tang San wondered.

But as he stopped, he suddenly felt the surrounding air turn colder. He frowned instinctively and turned to look behind him.

What he saw made his pupils shrink instantly, and his face darkened. Not far behind him stood a fully green elder—the same Tang San had seen at the Tian Dou Royal Academy some time ago, the titled Douluo known as Poison Douluo, Du Gu Bo!

"Trash, you've got quite some guts, sneaking into my home to steal things," a hoarse voice came from Du Gu Bo, his green eyes glowing intensely.

"This place was nurtured by the essence of heaven and earth—it's naturally formed. How is it your property?" Tang San retorted firmly, snorting: "I didn't steal anything. I only wanted these herbs to be put to better use."

Du Gu Bo let out a strange laugh. "Kid, if I remember correctly, you're a student of that… Shrek Academy, right? And now you've stolen from me and dare to talk back like this? Looking for death?"

"I didn't steal!" Tang San's voice turned cold, his hands glimmering like jade. "This place is for the virtuous. Me coming here means I have a connection with it. But you—do the herbs here have your name on them?"

"What did you say?" Du Gu Bo's green eyes flared, and a piercing killing intent erupted, striking Tang San's chest as if it were solid.

"Pff…"

With a muffled sound, Tang San coughed out a mouthful of blood, staggering dozens of steps back before barely stabilizing himself.

Feeling extreme pressure, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass suddenly released again, and the previously retracted external soul bones extended once more from his back.

Seeing the Eight Spider Spears behind Tang San, Du Gu Bo's green eyes glimmered with greed. "Looks like I'm lucky to encounter such a rare external soul bone. Kid, you've really delivered me a gift!"

As he finished speaking, Du Gu Bo vanished in an instant. Then, before Tang San could react, a rough hand grabbed his neck and lifted him slowly.

Du Gu Bo's eyes blazed green, licking his dry lips, as if staring at a rare treasure. In Du Gu Bo's eyes, Tang San looked no less than a nearly naked peerless beauty.

"Kid, I like your external soul bones. Since you stole from me, you'll compensate me with them!" Du Gu Bo's palm tightened like iron around Tang San's neck, impossible to break free.

"Du Gu Bo, you dare! If I die, you won't fare well either!" Tang San's heart filled with fear—the first time on Douluo Continent he truly felt the threat of death.

Sensing his host's fear, the Eight Spider Spears shot out almost instinctively, piercing toward Du Gu Bo with sharp slicing sounds.

However, as the Spears struck, a green light spread from Du Gu Bo's body, blocking the attack. No matter how sharp the Spears, they could only leave faint green ripples, posing no real threat.

"I've lived this long and have nothing I fear." Du Gu Bo sneered, injecting poisoned soul power from his hand into Tang San's body. Tang San's eyes widened, a piercing pain surged, and he fainted from the agony.

"Ha ha ha, the external soul bones are mine!" Du Gu Bo's hand glowed green, casually tossing Tang San aside and preparing to dismantle the Eight Spider Spears on his back.

Just then, a crisp, angry voice came from afar: "Du Gu Bo, dare touch him, and prepare to face death's revenge!"

Hearing the arrogant voice, Du Gu Bo paused, then turned to look toward its source. Three figures were rushing down the mountain toward the Ice-Fire Duality Eyes at high speed.

"What the…?" Du Gu Bo was stunned—Master had been brought along by Liu Erlong and Frand, a most peculiar sight.

"Xiao San!" Seeing Tang San pinned under Du Gu Bo, about to have his external soul bones taken, Master and Frand shouted simultaneously, panic flashing on their faces.

If Tang San died, how could they report to Tang Hao? With his temper, even Shrek Academy's destruction would go unchallenged.

After all, this was his only son—any incident would be far worse than a mere warning using Martial Soul.

"No wonder this kid dared to steal my herbs—it's because you guys were backing him up. So? Are the young challenging the old?" Du Gu Bo's eyes narrowed disdainfully.

"Stop talking nonsense! Du Gu Bo, if you dare touch Tang San, I'll fight you even if I die!" Master's eyes were bloodshot as he shouted: "Bullshit like thunder, earth-shattering Luo San Cannon!"

At his command, a yellow soul ring flew from his body, attaching to Luo San Cannon at his feet.

Next moment, Luo San Cannon roared. Its round belly expanded visibly, finally inflating into a massive balloon.

Its clear blue eyes suddenly glowed. The yellow soul ring surrounding it flared brilliantly, and its bulky body shot upward at incredible speed, aiming its rear at Du Gu Bo.

"Pff!" A loud fart sound erupted, and a yellow beam shot straight at Du Gu Bo.

"You dare die!" Du Gu Bo's green light blazed, stepping on Tang San's back and kicking upward. The prone Tang San flew into the air.

Then Du Gu Bo grabbed Tang San's head and slammed him onto the incoming yellow light.

In an instant, Tang San, waking from the pain-induced faint, was hit by a foul stench, gagging and vomiting instantly.

The Golden Iron Triangle—Frand—landed swiftly, catching Tang San.

Due to the stink of Luo San Cannon, Tang San pinched his nose, but the smell was so revolting that he accidentally vomited onto Frand's face.

Time seemed to freeze. Frand, wearing crystal glasses, felt like throwing Tang San away. But thinking of his father, he held his breath, suppressing the nausea, and set Tang San down.

"Golden Iron Triangle, I know your reputation," Du Gu Bo said disdainfully. "Just two seventy-plus-level soulists and one soul master not even level thirty dare come into my territory to wreak havoc—you came to die?"

Hearing this, Master and the others' hearts sank. With their strength, they could only match Du Gu Bo for two moves; beyond that, escape would be impossible. But could they really run from a titled Douluo?

Seeing Tang San's lifeless eyes, foaming at the mouth, Master felt indescribable heartache, but could only grit his teeth and ask Du Gu Bo: "Du Gu Bo, we have no grievance with you. Why capture my disciple?"

"Capture your disciple?" Du Gu Bo scoffed. "Why would I waste effort to capture him? Didn't he come to steal from my herb garden, forcing me to act?"

"You lie!" Master trembled, pointing at Du Gu Bo. "Xiao San is kind by nature, respects his teachers, how could he steal your herbs? Do not slander my disciple!"

"What are you? Dare point at me?" Du Gu Bo's anger surged. A green light shot from his eyes, the overwhelming pressure making the air solidify.

Seeing this, Frand and Liu Erlong no longer cared about Du Gu Bo's power. Both moved to shield the weakest, Master. The unrestrained aura of a titled Douluo pressed down like a mountain.

If Liu Erlong and Frand hadn't resisted, the aura alone would have crushed Master into a bloody mist.

"You…" Master tried to object, but Frand quickly blocked him, knowing that if Du Gu Bo really wanted to kill, none of them would survive Sunset Forest today, let alone face Tang Hao's revenge.

Frand wiped the filth from his face, bowed slightly to Du Gu Bo, and said softly: "Senior Du Gu, Tang San is our disciple. Regarding your claim of stolen herbs, perhaps there's a misunderstanding. Any loss, we will compensate. You are a titled Douluo, resources abound. Perhaps this matter can be set aside?"

Frand believed he was being tactful, giving Du Gu Bo a way out without invoking Tang Hao's name. But standing before them was not a considerate Douluo, but the eccentric, mercurial Poison Douluo, Du Gu Bo.
