The school announced the Annual Sports Day.
And like the name suggests, it wasn't just about sports. Nope. They crammed everything — dance, songs, races, random events — into one single day.
On top of that, we had to finish our project and practice for Sports Day. In just two days.
Nice. Just… nice.
Somehow me, Akaay, and Vayu managed to complete the project. But then came the worst part — recording the video. And now the main trio — me, Shubh, and Shree — had to get the job done.
First attempt? Total disaster.
We had to remake the script. This time, we divided the lines carefully so each of us had equal parts. Balanced. Fair. Teamwork.
But guess what?
At the end, Shree changed the entire script. Again. Suddenly, she was the protagonist. The hero. The genius who came up with the idea, built the project, and basically carried the entire universe on her back — while we were just background props.
What's wrong with her? Like, why does she do this every single time?! Shubh kept giving me subtle gestures to calm down because he could see me fuming.
Still, the recording had its unforgettable behind-the-scenes chaos.
This guy was standing around, acting like a director. He kept saying:
"Don't laugh. Don't laugh. Don't laugh."
And every single time, we burst out giggling — "HAHAHA."
He snapped:
"Be serious! Look at the project, see the tension!!"
…which of course only made us laugh harder.
We were recording near the swimming pool when he suddenly turned to Shree and said:
"Oh my god, don't come so close to the camera. Your dark circles are showing."
She got so pissed, she couldn't record for a full two minutes. Just stood there, fuming like a volcano.
By then, we were so done with the project that we resorted to fake air. Yep. We literally used a blow dryer to make our windmill spin.
"Look!" we said proudly. "Our fake air works!"
And then came the outro, which — somehow — turned into an interview.
"By looking at your hands, it doesn't seem you guys have worked on the project," Akaay teased.
"This is a new way of complimenting us. Thank you," I shot back.
"Guys, can we focus?" Shubh groaned.
"No," Vayu snapped.
And of course, we burst out laughing again.
When the video finally ended, Akaay started recording me — because I'm camera-conscious, and he just loves to mess with me. But then suddenly, Shree jumped in front of the camera and went:
"That's all for today, guys! Make sure to like the video and subscribe to our channel."
…Excuse me?? Why does she always need the spotlight??
And honestly? That's how our project survived — not because of planning, not because of balance, but because of chaos, fake air, and unstoppable laughter.
