Chapter 46 - Chapter 45: Emissaries

"Fine... Good... I'm telling Klaire what you did. Now get on with the emissaries, I'm going for a bath and I swear I'll kill anyone who brings this up!" Lydia was annoyed, as one of the most powerful succubi in history whether hybrid or pure, she understood better than anyone what the power of emotions can do.

"Lydia, I mean it, I'm sorry..." Carl said, guilt creeping in heavily.

"Don't worry about it, don't ever use that around us again." She said before finally leaving, a little guilty herself for making him feel so bad, but knowing how important it was for him to understand the danger of such an ability.

"Succubi... I will join you when the boy is done. I wish to talk ab-" Lydia gave her a glare that made even tiamat fall silent, it was clear that the threat was not just aimed at mortals. Tiamat was also acutely aware that the breach of contract would not alter her abilities, they were intimate to her kind and she could tell Carl would never impose on that with someone he held dear.

Lydia hadn't stopped and was gone before anything further could be said or done. "Ki-ko, could you go with Auntie Lydia? You always make her feel better."

"Course Papa, I'll go get the keratin too if you cheer up." Carl laughed and she nodded to imply that was good enough before running off.

Carl returned his attention to the beasts which were being held at bay by Squidge's nonverbal warnings not to crowd Carl.

"Thanks bud, you can let them through now." Squidge retreated behind him and Carl withdrew five vials of blood feeding one to each of the three beasts. He then scraped Kitsunoko's latest fur donation from his shirt and put half in each of the remaining vials.

"Is it my blood you require?" Bahamut asked, a little bit insulted by the concept of being forced to bleed.

"Not necessarily. Teeth, claws, scales, hair... Whatever you feel more comfortable with really, even some fire or aspect of your power will do." Carl explained, leaving the decision up to him.

"Fine, I'll grant you the platinum flame... I am still concerned about the prospect of my materials being used for a reason other than this." Tiamat struggled to keep herself contained, knowing Carl had won the moment they both signed the contract.

Carl wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but was slightly disappointed when BAhamut just created a bonfire of platinum fire next to him.

"Is something wrong? More or less maybe?"

"No, nothing like that. Just a little anticlimactic." Carl sighed, making Tiamat double over with laughter. "Activate Neo Primordia". As Carl said the words he selected the beasts, fur and flame.

Carl sculpted it to be quadrupedal, though its forelimbs ended in more hand like appendages with opposable thumbs designed its wings to be usable as a shield whilst still being flightworthy.

Its crested head was designed for both aerodynamics and to provide a thick defensive shield. Its spine split at the base into two thick tails, topped with razor-like notches so that one could be used for attack, whilst the other could be used to maintain balance.

"Bahamut, I don't know much about dragons. Would you be offended if I made it breath ice instead?"

"I gave you fire, but you can still change its elemental affinity?" Bahamut asked the question mostly rhetorically. "No offence will be taken, but why?"

"Fire is final, it turns things to ash. I'd rather give him the choice to undo what he did." Carl answered as he changed the breath to one that reached absolute zero, but also gave it a skill called "fine control" that would let it manipulate the temperature to non-lethal efficiency.

Finally he gave it the metamorphosis skill and then randomised all other skills and only locked its INT and CHA stats so it can fulfill its purpose as an emissary effectively.

When Carl initialised its finalisation, the materials collided and erupted into platinum fire. It then drained the heat from the flames and ground around it before turning to ice and shattering to reveal an egg the same flawlessly polished platinum as the fire.

The dragon gods watched in silent reverence as the spectacle unfolded before their eyes, exceeding every expectation they had. When the egg cracked as though hatching they found themselves holding their breaths and then from the egg, more platinum ice grew.

It expanded and shaped itself compacting and cracking and reforming until a dragon stood before their eyes.

"How about Platinum primordia-dragon and I'll call this one Aldra... Aldra! Nice to meet you, can you take human form and be clothed or do you need to get dressed afterward?"

Aldra didn't respond, he simply changed assuming a half human form he could get dressed in without exposing himself. His hair was long and both it and his eyes were platinum coloured. He stood tall at six feet and six inches tall and had a bulky chiseled body.

"It seems I will need you to provide me with clothing creator." He spoke with an accent fairly similar to what Carl had heard when Bahamut raised his voice.

"No worries. We will get those for you, but since you will be acting as my emissary to the dragon god Bahamut, you won't need a human form too often I don't think."

"Indeed, you will be free to take your form, child born from my flame."

"I was born from the creators power, do not assume you hold sway over me, Lord Bahamut."

"I didn't, but thought I should test it regardless. You are the representative of your faction though, so a word of advice... Treat me as you would have our factions treat each other."

"Then I look forward to exploring your domain Bahamut and getting to know you better."

"Hey Aldra, apologies, but do you mind if I get your twin ready? I need to get you both ready so I can get food started or a little fox-girl is going to use me as a chew toy when she gets out the bath."

 "Of course Creator."

"Dude, stop. Call me Carl, it's bad enough that Equinox calls me that."

"Apologies Carl, would you like me to go and collect my older brother for the party?"

 "You know about that?"

"Squidge and I are talking as you and I do."

"I mean cool and yeah, if you could that would be great."

As Aldra walked off, with Squidge in tow, Carl had Noah release the next group; A slime, a shadow lurker and a light-stalker. Carl expected the shadow lurker to be as aggressive as it was the last time, but they were clearly affected by his aura earlier and just wanted to get close.

"Tell me Carl, why use creatures you already have stored?" Tiamat asked at the perfect moment to see Bahamut twitch with immediate realisation.

"Lillim would have killed me if I revealed such a strong card readily." Carl shrugged, not lying but not revealing the whole truth as Tiamat laughed.

"I see I was thoroughly outplayed... I have to concede this round it seems."

"Don't be such a grouch, as annoyed as I am myself, I'm far more impressed than anything. We lost the moment we signed that contract, he played it all perfectly and she really would have killed him if he hadn't. As a reward, choose what you wish of me and I shall grant it, though I would prefer you didn't ruin my smile."

"I won't, could I have your omni-flame?" His request made her elated, the sheer nerve it took for him to ask for her most valuable resource left her enamoured.

"You are a truly awesome human Carl Bashe-Reaga." She giggled as she disappeared from where she stood and resumed her true form.

Her body swelled to gargantuan proportions. "Carl! I better go speak to the Lugarians!" Gillian yelled as he ran off at full speed.

Tiamat's true form was monstrous, the same quadrupedal form as Aldra, but wingless and with only a single tail. Her body was covered in different coloured scales of black, white, red, blue and green, each one imbued with the corresponding attribute and one of the five heads she possessed.

"Apologies for the lack of warning, I'm not used to concerning myself with such things." She spoke before lowering each head and creating the omni-flame Carl had requested, one born from each of the five heads breathing in tandem.

Carl worked quickly after that, retrieving more blood and feeding it to the creatures, then activativating his skill once more.

As the screen appeared, he made it look almost exactly like Aldra, but a bit more feminine. Using the shadow lurker and light stalker traits, alongside Tiamat's flame, he was able to grant it control over all elements.

To stay in line with Tiamat's appearance, Carl gave this one scales to match every element, though they weren't actually granted an elemental attribute.

Beyond that he done the same with her skills and stats as he had done with Aldra and finalised the creation.

This time around, the materials colliding resulted in a tornado of light and dark, which abruptly froze before bursting into a toxic-green flame that crackled with electricity. After that, it formed a multicoloured egg, though the hatching was exactly the same as Aldra's.

"For this one, Omni-chromatic primordia-dragon and Omedra." Carl said, before the dragon turned and did something Carl wasn't expecting.

"True omni-flame." As she spoke she released a flame that included all of Tiamat's elements with the addition of light and darkness. "I guess you need to rename that ember of yours."

"Omedra, can you not start a fight the minute you're born please."

"Sorry Creator..." She huffed before reluctantly apologising to Tiamat who returned to human form as she laughed.

"I suggest you learn to make it a little hotter before you claim that little girl."

"Omedra, take human form but do not expose yourself okay..."

"Ugh, fine. I'd rather put the old lizard in her place." As she transformed, she took the appearance of a woman in her mid-twenties and although she kept her body covered in scales, it was still strangely embarrassing.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! You need to go get dressed Omedra and watch the attitude, you're a diplomat. Alysse! Go take her to get dressed please, maybe find her a new attitude too."

As Alysse laughed and led the huffing dragon off to go get dressed, the men all averted and covered their eyes as Tiamat clicked her tongue.

"Honestly, leave the poor girl alone, she's just at a rebellious age for dragons, I will do my best to help her get passed it. She won't respond well to her creator until she is. Out of curiosity, can the two of them breed? She is absolutely gorgeous in her dragon form and if she can you had best order her not to with all your authority."

"Thankfully, no, she can't. Do I need to order her not to get involved like that on an emotional level with your kin or do you not mind?"

"Hm? I'm more surprised you would be okay with it."

"Why wouldn't I be? I made her, I want her to be happy. If she finds someone to love, I'll support it as long as they're decent."

The statement amused both Bahamut and Tiamat to no end...
