"I don't see how this is supposed to help." Tristan said in a flat tone.
He paced along the edge of the clearing with his boots sinking slightly into the damp grass. His arms were folded tight across his chest, every line of him tense.
Shannon stood in the center, posture calm but unmistakably firm. His voice carried authority even when quiet. "Because right now, your wolf comes out when it feels like it. We're going to change that."
"That's your plan?" Tristan asked sharply. "Teaching me to control something I barely understand?"
"Yes," Shannon replied without hesitation. "Control is the difference between keeping your life and losing it. Between protecting someone and hurting them."
